Fiesta Bowl!!!

We were fortunate enough to be able to stay with my old neighbors, The Fellows. They moved to Arizona and were kind enough to take us in!!





The kids unwound from the long drive. We spent most our time outside soaking up as much sun as we could! I can't seem to find those pictures so will have to add them later!


Bert cooked us our pregame meal. He thought Devin looked so big he cooked alot!

74 degrees. Wow it was amazing! We couldn't get out of our warm clothes fast enough!

Bert and Jan had grapefruit trees and orange trees in the back, they were so yummy!!

Before the game we ran to the farmers market so Bert could make us some fresh salsa for the game. While we were there Jenna found a friend, "Glen" her cacti. Silly girl!

We had about an hour drive to Glendale, so the kids kept themselves busy spotting fellow Bronco cars!

It was so exciting every time we saw a bronco flag!

Let the tailgating begin! We hung out with dad and his old cronies, and past football players for BSU. Here we are with Kyle Wilson's mom. We just gave her a lei for Kyle for graduation.

The kids were so excited. Devin said his heart rate was increasing the closer we got to the stadium. Dad got us amazing seats. I don't think they realized how good of seats we were getting.

They went up earlier to check things out, so they discovered we had to go through a different entrance and go up to the "club seats" wahoo!! Cushion seats, can't get any better than that! Thanks Grandpa!!

Once we joined the kids we had to take pictures. Lots of pictures... too many to blog. Me and my little Devin. Okay not so quite so little anymore.

Yes it was an orange out, and Dan wore gray. His defense is that he had an orange hat! Dad flew in that morning, and we met up with him at the tailgate. Then flew home after the game. Mom stayed home, not quite up to all the walking around with her bum knee.

Every seat had a bag with Tostito chips and salsa! Whew didn't have to buy them snacks! Not!

Here's dad and some guys he played ball with, the white haired gentleman at the top was his coach, Lyle Smith.

The stadium was huge!

We didn't buy gifts for Christmas, we took the trip instead...

I think it was worth it! :)

Jenna thought it was funny that the media people were even taking pictures!

A goose bump moment! National anthem, then an eagle flew through the stadium!


Ok not sure who this guy is, but apparently he's a big wrestler.

This was our crew, Jerry Young's (played also for BSU) two sons brought him over from Hawaii to see the game (Brad and Steve).

WOW!!!! It sounded like it too! It was soooo loud!



Buster Bronco was getting in with the action. They had police on every mode of transportation horse, bikes, scooters, and on foot they were everywhere!




The end of the game was a nail bitter! The guys thinking intensely.....

But soon we were brought to our feet! The only time that loud whistle of Dan's didn't bother me! (Actually couldn't hear it.) We did it! It was so fun to see the reaction from everyone, especially our kids!

The celebration begins...

Graduation!!

The big day finally is here! After 4 long years.....Accepting my Diploma, okay my cover, diploma arrives 2 months later.

Melissa a fellow education student, we both graduated with a double major; Elementary Education and Special Educaiton. Only 4 students graduated with a special education degree, we were two!

All done time to CeLeBrAtE!!

My other two friends that also were in special education.

Lisa, Kayla, Melissa and me.... and we all got jobs! These were the girls who talked me into squeezing more credits in so I would graduate a semester earlier....Ohhh if they only knew!But that 23 credit semester was worth it!

Dan's thinking, "whew don't have to pay for her college anymore!" Just wait you have one more starting just around the corner!

Our good friend Chauncy Ako graduated also.

His family came from California to celebrate, and we all got together later that night.

The best kids and husband ever! They put up with alot while I was going to school. Not as many dinners, mom not home to help with homework etc... Couldn't have asked for better support!

One of our favorite friends! I grew up with Barbara and she was a great support as well... being a teacher (retired) she lended great advice!

Best parents ever! Mom just coming out of the hospital, had to check to see if she needed to have angioplasty.
She didn't and made it to the party!

We cleared out the garage and set up tables and chairs with a huge heater and had a party.

I was lucky enough to share the night with Chauncy, we had sooooo much food. Hawaiian style of course. It was so delicious. Good food and good friends what more could you ask for?


Mom taking it easy, should have been at home in bed, but so glad she came. They were unable to come to the commencement, so I was happy she came!

Chauncy's mom, Faith, sang and of course my dad finagled a way to get me up to dance, although I'm retired we fumbled through a song. Anything for my dad!

But here are the pros! Chauncy's little girl and a cousin dancing. (Cousin was really a professional dancer! I keep deleting picture of her, so I gave up.)

I think Jenna had enough! She took all the pictures and was very helpful to get things set up! She's with her good friend Erin.
