The Smoky Mountians

It is beautiful here in the Smoky Mountains! We went for a weekend trip for Hudson's birthday. In our hotel they had a indoor mini water park that was awesome, the kids had a BLAST. We saw a black bear, right out side the window, high up in the trees eating something!!! That was really neat to watch.
We were going to go hiking, but it rained and was 38 degrees out so we just took a drive! It was a fun get a way weekend and I am ready for the hot summer sun already!

I am so pleased at how the home school is going! I think we are getting in a routine and it is working out great. I was not prepared for the amount of prep time for the lessons, so that was an adjustment. I am still trying to figure out how to clean the house and do laundry in between lessons. I know that at the end of the day the work will still be there, so I will get to it when I can. I think the high light is watching the kids growing closer to one another! Mason and Hudson have become best buds again and that I LOVE!!! SO thank you for your prayers, we appreciate them.

healing is coming

My GI track needs to be traded in for a new one. I have had such issues with my body lately and its irritating. About 2 years ago I was suffering big time with my GI track and was put on a very restrictive diet. I stayed on it for about 8-10 months and my issues were gone. I thought I was "healed." So i then went back to a normal diet. Then about 8 months ago the symptoms little by little started to come back up. Now it is unavoidable, I have to fix it.
I've been sick since August now and on top of all the Gi issues, I have daily dizzy spells. It is now effecting my everyday life. I don't want to go out and about because I'm worried about not being able to get home. There are lots of afternoons I spend laying down it bed missing out on having fun with the kids, and I can not stand it. Now that I am my children's teacher I cant not have these spells, feel sick everyday and do the job the way I need to. Sooooooooo...................................
I need to put my big girl pants on and do this. Here is what I can eat.
Organic protein, organic vegetables, eggs, almonds, walnuts, seeds and rice! Oh, I can also drink herbal teas and water.
That's IT! If it is not listed I can not have it. So the good thing about this diet is that it is SUPER healthy and once I get past the first month or so I will be feeling great. SO that is what I have to think and focus on. I will be daily leaning on God to get me through this. Its so hard to think about all the tasty desserts, baked goods and Italian foods that I can not have. Chocolate is a hard one for me as well. With us going through the holidays soon I know that I will miss a lot of yummy treats. BUT, I will feel so much better and that is whats it important! So please pray for me to have a positive attitude and that God gives me the strength I need to have a happy heart.

a night in the corn maze!

The Frame family made a trip to Charleston to see our missed friends! We had a blast. These kids played so hard for three days straight and crashed hard on the way home to Knox. While we were there we went to a pumpkin patch at night:) We even got to do a corn maze in the dark! We brought flash lights and glow sticks and made our way through the corn stalks with six kids, and we all made it out safely! It was SO much FUN!!!!! Lots of laughs, food and pumpkins:)!

day one down.....

day one went well!!! We woke up around 7 and had breakfast, watched a cartoon, made up beds and cleaned up the house. The rule is that you have to be dressed and ready to work at 9....
... so this morning ... Hudson came down in khakis and and long sleeve polo shirt!!!!
Mason came down in full bumblebee costume and Aubree came down in her dress up surgical scrubs and hair net!!! It was so their personalities:)

It was so cute!!!
Everyone stayed on task and were focused all morning. Not even one complainant. I am so thankful.

It's a Homeschool Life

Ok so here we go! On Thursday Oct 6 the frames will officially be a homeschooling family! This was something I wanted to try this year anyways but we moved into a neighborhood that had a AWESOME public school. So we tried it. Well is not AWESOME to me. The kids teachers were for sure awesome and I like them a lot. However, I can not stand the school policies, other children's behavior and worldly knowledge, the Principal, or the fact that I am not welcomed in the school they way I am wanting to be. ( ie the "hug line" and not being able to have lunch withe kids until the end of oct...ect..)
Cathedral was the most AWESOME amazing school experience ever for our family. To me this school is a dark shadow of what I expect a school to be for my kids. I feel that I should not have to lower my standards just because it is the school we are zoned for. I am not a public school hater. I know that there are some out of this world programs available in the public school as well as very skilled and intelligent teachers. But what I am wanting for my children is a God honoring education. "As for me and my household, we shall serve the Lord!" My children are spending 8 hours a day 5 days a week having to hide the fact that they LOVE Jesus and being exposed to the hateful things that the enemy has placed in this world and having to slow down their learning until the others catch up. I know that I can not shelter them from the world forever but I will for as long as I can. I want to teach with to navigate through life and do it with courage and passion for being a light in God's Kingdom!
SO pray for us in this new adventure. It's going to a fun and wild ride!!!

We went to baby shower with about 20 little 3 and 4 year old girls!!! It was so much fun. They all ran around with pink roses playing fairy princesses..... well except my daughter want to be the "bad dragon." She ran around chasing the other girls and breathed fire on them. How can she be such a diva girlie girl and at the same time not!!! Oh this girl is one of a kind:)!
