Westminster crash outside Parliament treated as terror attack after car hits cyclists and ploughs into barriers

A man has been arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences after a car crashed into security barriers outside the Houses of Parliament at high speed.

At least three people were injured when the silver Ford Fiesta hit a group of cyclists and pedestrians waiting for traffic lights to change. Witnesses said the car mounted the pavement on the wrong side of the road at up to 50mph and travelled around 40 metres (130ft) before hitting a bollard.

Westminster was in lockdown as armed police swarmed the scene on Tuesday morning. Witnesses said they thought "it looked intentional - the car drove at speed and towards the barriers".

Scotland Yard said a man in his 20s was arrested after the incident at around 7.30am. He was taken to a south London police station where he remains in custody on suspicion of terrorist offences.

Police said the crash is being treated as a "terrorist incident" and the Met's counter-terrorism command is leading the investigation....

Car Explodes Into Flames At Christmas Fair in London

A CAR exploded in the middle of the street just yards from where children and families were celebrating a Christmas fayre. 

Firefighters were called to Pinner High Street in Harrow after the car burst into flames during the festive fun. 

People out for the annual Pinner Panto – attended by more than 10,000 – were ushered away from the burning vehicle by cops and stewards. 

Witnesses filmed the fireball after it exploded metres from the community event.

What kind of man looks a woman in the eye, then stabs her in the throat?

Candice Hedge, survivor of the London Bridge jihad attack, appears to have a "Panda tube" coming out of her nose. The Panda tube is a weighted feeding tube. Ms. Hedge probably sustained a tear in her esophagus. Thank God it was not her trachea!

An Australian woman has been left unable to speak after she was stabbed in the throat during the terror attacks in London, her family says.

Candice Hedge, 34, from Brisbane, is recovering at St Thomas Hospital following emergency surgery for a knife wound to her neck.

"She can't talk. She's been stabbed around her neck, her throat. She's all bandaged up." her mother, Kim Del Toro, told Fairfax Media.

"She went into surgery, but she's going to be fine, thank goodness."

Ms Hedge has been living in London for the past year and she was working with her boyfriend, Luke, at a bar and restaurant in the Borough Market when one of the terrorists stormed the building on Saturday night.

"He heard some commotion out the front and went out to see what was going on," Ms Hedge's mother said.

"He saw some men with knives coming toward them, and he ran back inside to see where Candice was."

In the chaos, he couldn't find her and police yelled for everyone to stay down.

Then, she came running toward him, holding her bleeding neck.

He grabbed her and the two of them took an ambulance to hospital....

What will Ms. Hedge's life be like from this point on? The Panda tube is typically a long-term medical device, and such a device typically requires daily or every-other-day maintenance as long as the device remains in place.

And after the Panda tube is removed, will Ms. Hedge's throat still hurt every time she swallows? A slash into any part of the body typically causes nerve damage, damage which can persist lifelong.

Survivors of jihad attacks may persevere in spirit, but their bodies may still suffer for the rest of the survivors' lives.

London’s Metropolitan Police released a statement Wednesday night (Thursday local time) stating terrorism is being ‘explored’ as the motive behind a mass stabbing at Russell Square in central London that left one dead and several, perhaps five wounded. 

The suspect was subdued with a Taser and taken into custody on the scene. Police were called at 22:33 hours on Wednesday, 3 August to reports of a man seen in possession of a knife injuring people at Russell Square, WC1. 

Officers attended the scene along with the London Ambulance Service. Up to six people were found injured at the location. A female (no further details) was treated at the scene but was pronounced dead a short time later. 

We await an update on the condition of the other persons injured and details of any other injuries. A man was arrested at 22:39 hours and a Taser was discharged by one of the arresting officers. 

Additional police units have been deployed to the area to provide reassurance. 

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. + 

Terrorism is one possibility being explored at this stage.

London: Professor halts immigration debate to blast Muslim leader as ‘Islamist who supports stoning’

Hundreds of people are watching a YouTube video of a London professor interrupting a university conference on immigration to protest against the presence of “an Islamist who supports stoning to death and sharia law“. 

Professor Reza Moradi interrupted a talk organised by the University and College Union (UCU) held at the London Metropolitan University, to criticise the decision to invite Mohammed Kozbar, vice president of the Muslim Association of Britain (MAB), to take part in the discussion panel. 

“MAB is what is known as a ‘soft’ Islamist organisation, normalising and justifying terrorism, the Caliphate and sharia rules,” Moradi wrote on his Facebook page after the incident. 

“I am outraged that my union would share a panel with an Islamist organisation, despite its links with the Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood, its defence of death by stoning for adultery and support of the death penalty for apostates such as me.

Police covered up violent campaign to turn London area Islamic

Police have been accused of “covering up” a campaign of abuse, threats and violence aimed at “Islamicising” an area of London. Victims say that officers in the borough of Tower Hamlets have ignored or downplayed outbreaks of hate crime, and suppressed evidence implicating Muslims in them, because they fear being accused of racism. 

The claims come as four Tower Hamlets Muslims were jailed for at least 19 years for attacking a local white teacher who gave religious studies lessons to Muslim girls. 

The Sunday Telegraph has uncovered more than a dozen other cases in Tower Hamlets where both Muslims and non-Muslims have been threatened or beaten for behaviour deemed to breach fundamentalist “Islamic norms.” 

One victim, Mohammed Monzur Rahman, said he was left partially blind and with a dislocated shoulder after being attacked by a mob in Cannon Street Road, Shadwell, for smoking during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan last year. 

“Two guys stopped me in the street and asked me why I was smoking,” he said. “I just carried on, and before I knew another dozen guys came and jumped me. The next thing I knew, I was waking up in hospital.” 

“He reported it to the police and they just said they couldn’t track anyone down and there were no witnesses,” said Ansar Ahmed Ullah, a local anti-extremism campaigner who has advised Mr Rahman. “But there is CCTV in that street and it is lined with shops and people.” 

Teachers in several local schools have told The Sunday Telegraph that they feel “under pressure” from local Muslim extremists, who have mounted campaigns through both parents and pupils – and, in one case, through another teacher – to enforce the compulsory wearing of the veil for Muslim girls. 

“It was totally orchestrated,” said one teacher. “The atmosphere became extremely unpleasant for a while, with constant verbal aggression from both the children and some parents against the head over this issue.” 

One teacher at the Bigland Green primary school, Nicholas Kafouris, last year took the council to an employment tribunal, saying he was forced out of his job for complaining that Muslim pupils were engaging in racist and anti-Semitic bullying and saying they supported terrorism. Mr Kafouris lost his case, though the school did admit that insufficient action had been taken against the behaviour of some pupils. 

The number of assaults on teachers in Tower Hamlets resulting in exclusions has more than doubled from 190 in 2007/8 to 383 in 2008/9, the latest available year, though not all are necessarily race-related. 

Tower Hamlets’ gay community has become a particular target of extremists. Homophobic crimes in the borough have risen by 80 per cent since 2007/8, and by 21 per cent over the last year, a period when there was a slight drop in London as a whole. 

Last year, a mob of 30 young Muslims stormed a local gay pub, the George and Dragon, beating and abusing patrons. 

Many customers of the pub told The Sunday Telegraph that they have been attacked and harassed by local Muslim youths. In 2008 a 20-year-old student, Oli Hemsley, was left permanently paralysed after an attack by a group of young Muslims outside the pub. Only one of his assailants has been caught and jailed.

Islamic State Operative Details Ways They Are Flooding Europe With Jihadists Hidden Among Refugees

ANTAKYA, Turkey — An ISIS operative traveled across the Syrian border late last year, settled in a Turkish port city, and began work on a mission to sneak jihadis into Europe. It has been successful, he said, in an interview near the Turkey-Syria border: “Just wait.” 

The operative, a Syrian in his thirties with a close-cropped black beard, said ISIS is sending covert fighters to Europe — as did two smugglers who said they have helped. He smuggles them from Turkey in small groups, he said, hidden in cargo ships filled with hundreds of refugees. 

He said the fighters intend to fulfill ISIS’s threat to stage attacks in the West. He views this as retaliation for U.S.-led airstrikes against the group that began in Iraq last summer and Syria last fall. 

“If someone attacks me,” he said, speaking with BuzzFeed News on condition of anonymity, “then for sure I will attack them back.” 

Western governments worried even before the airstrikes that ISIS would find ways to get its battle-hardened fighters across their borders. 

The operative is the first ISIS member involved in these plans to discuss them with the press. 

He detailed a scheme that takes advantage of the worst humanitarian crisis in a generation, which has sent 3.8 million refugees fleeing Syria’s civil war, pouring more than 1.5 million into Turkey alone. 

From Turkish port cities like Izmir and Mersin, many thousands of these refugees have ventured across the sea, aiming mainly for Italy. Then they often make for more welcoming countries like Sweden and Germany, turning themselves over to authorities and appealing for asylum. 

The operative said he worked with smugglers to slip fighters into this chaotic human tide. “They are going like refugees,” he said. Two refugee-smugglers in Turkey said they helped ISIS send fighters to Europe in this way. 

One put more than 10 of them on his ships, then got cold feet when asked to send more, he told BuzzFeed News last fall. Another said he’d been sending ISIS fighters for months and continues to do so. 

“I’m sending some fighters who want to go and visit their families,” he said in an interview in southern Turkey, speaking on condition of anonymity. “Others just go to Europe to be ready.” 

Among his colleagues in the port city where he works, the smuggler has a reputation for transporting fighters. BuzzFeed News contacted him after meeting the ISIS operative, seeking to investigate the operative’s claims. 

At first he denied that he smuggled fighters at all; then he said he needed “permission” to discuss the issue with a journalist. Soon after he revealed that he worked for the ISIS operative, who confirmed this and allowed the interview. 

The smuggler said some fighters were Syrian. He could tell from their accents that others hailed from elsewhere in the Middle East, while still others spoke Arabic poorly, or not at all. Some told him they were from European countries, he said, and a few claimed to be from the U.S.

The UK government has requested that all flags on government buildings be flown at half-mast in tribute to King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, who died on Thursday. 

The decision, which was reportedly made by the Queen, has attracted criticism from Amnesty International who say Abdullah’s regime was responsible for public beheadings, the flogging of journalists, and arresting women for attempting to drive. 

Landmarks such as Westminster Abbey, Westminster Palace, and the Foreign Office followed the instruction.

The Islamist killers of Drummer Lee Rigby erupted into violence in an Old Bailey courtroom as they were sentenced for murder.

Michael Adebolajo, 29, and Michael Adebowale, 22, had to be manhandled out of court by security guards after being told by Mr Justice Sweeney that their crime was a “betrayal of Islam”.

Adebolajo screamed at the judge as he was manhandled down the dock stairs in the historic Court No 2 but, in scenes lasting several minutes, his co-defendant was held to the floor and cuffed before being carried downstairs head first….

Angered by the judges’ comments about Islam, Adebowale stood up and shouted: “That’s a lie. It’s not a betrayal of Islam. You don’t know what Islam is.”

The struggle erupted as the murderer yelled: “I swear by Allah that America and Britain will never have any safety. Allahu Akbar [God is Great].”…

It seems to me that people, voluntary dhimmis, are perseverating in believing what they want to believe instead of facing the facts about what the Koran and the Haditha teach. Therefore, those of us who are trying to debunk the whitewash have an uphill battle, an uphill battle that has consistently become worse since 9/11 and the jihad attack on the Boston Marathon. Not even a beheading in the streets of 21st Century London matters to those who wish to believe that Islam means peace!

Remember during the Olympics when Britain celebrated how multicultural we are and how we accept people of all cultures and races? Well, it seems, the party is already over.

Britain’s Jews are made to feel especially uncomfortable. Today, yet again, Hezbollah supporters marched through the streets of London for the Khomeini inspired Al Quds Day. Instead of congregating in Trafalgar Square like last year, they assembled outside the American Embassy.

Hezbollah has been involved in a worldwide campaign to murder as many Jews as possible. It started in Argentina in the early 1990s when both the Israeli consulate and a Jewish community centre were bombed by Hezbollah leaving hundreds of Jews and non-Jews dead and disabled. And recently in Bulgaria Hezbollah blew up a bus full of young Israeli tourists leaving many dead and crippled.

This is all fully in line with Hassan Nasrallah’s statements that Jews are descended from pigs and apes and if the world’s Jews gathered in Israel it would save Hezbollah the effort of going after them worldwide.

Last year Hezbollah activists held up signs proclaiming “Death to Israel”, “Israel Your Days Are Numbered” and “For there to be peace Israel must be destroyed”. Today the disingenuously named Islamic Human Rights Commission, a registered charity, was allowed to repeat the exercise.

And this year the march and rally were advertised on the back of some 400 London buses!

I wasn’t there for very long today. Once again I was quietly trying to film proceedings. No one recognised me until an anti-Ahava activist tipped off stewards from the Islamic Human Rights Commission who jostled me and complained to the police who, in turn, ushered me away.

After the assembled crowd was urged to chant “Zionism must go” and “From The River to the Sea Palestine Will be Free” I saw both Reverend Stephen Sizer and Labour MP Jeremy Corbyn address it.

Leaflets sponsored by INMINDS.co.uk were handed out. They read, inter alia, ”The world ended Nazism and Apartheid, isn’t it time to end the suffering of the Palestinians?” and “Israeli soldiers of the Givati Brigade ordered around 100 people in to the Wa’el Samouni house at gunpoint. They then bombed the house killing 29 people. They then denied emergency crews access to the house for four days, shooting at ambulance drivers if they approached the house. In case anyone mistook the intent of the Givati in this crime, they left a message on one of the remaining walls of the house, daubed in Hebrew it read ‘The Only good Arab is a Dead Arab.’”

One has to ask why does Britain rightly ban groups like Muslims Against Crusades for causing public outrage but not Hezbollah which is actively attempting to murder Jews worldwide. Are Britain’s Jews deemed so dispensable?

Mecca's Holy Water Contains Poison?

Holy drinking water contaminated with arsenic is being sold illegally to Muslims by UK shops, the BBC has found.

Zam Zam water is taken from a well in Mecca and is considered sacred to Muslims, but samples from the source suggested it held dangerous chemicals.

Secret recordings captured the vendors describing customers who drank it daily.

"They depend on it, they don't drink anything else," said the owner of an Islamic bookshop in Upton Park.

"People see this water as a holy water," he added.

London Warned of a Mumbai-style Attack

Scotland Yard has warned businesses in London to expect a Mumbai-style attack on the capital. In a briefing in the City of London 12 days ago, a senior detective from SO15, the Metropolitan police counter-terrorism command, said: "Mumbai is coming to London."

The detective said companies should anticipate a shooting and hostage-taking raid "involving a small number of gunmen with handguns and improvised explosive devices"....

"Before, there has been speculation. Now we are getting what appears to be a definite plot to carry out a firearms attack on London," he said....

Security sources said concerns had been raised by "chatter" on a prominent jihadist website two weeks ago.

One contributor suggested fighters could use automatic weapons to strike places such as nightclubs, sporting venues and Jewish centres.

In an online discussion hosted on December 2, another contributor invited suggestions for carrying out "guerrilla warfare" and proposed "a group of mujaheddin raid police stations and fire at them".

Another said: "Make sure that all those at the location are of age, that there are no children and so on. Insist on the locations and times where no Muslims or children are to be expected.

"If machine guns are available, and explosive and expertise for [explosives] are not available, this is a good way ... The [Mumbai] operation is the ideal scenario for operations you are talking about."

A third contributor said targets should be "chosen in a studied manner".

He added: "In general, targeting economic joints and intelligence centres if possible has priority over police stations."...

Beveiled Muslims Test Tolerance in Secular Britain

Women covering themselves up is objectionable to many British people, and is seen as a sign of subjugation. British women, along with their sisters in other Western countries, fought long and hard for their liberation and equal rights. They view the veil, especially the full veil, as a step back in time, as a step back to a bygone age. Wearing it is also seen as a clear sign that Muslims do not wish to integrate.

INTERNATIONAL HERALD TRIBUNE - LONDON: Increasingly, Muslim women in Britain take their children to school and run errands covered head to toe in flowing black gowns that allow only a slit for their eyes.

Like little else, their appearance has unnerved Britons, testing the limits of tolerance in this stridently secular nation. Many veiled women say they are targets of abuse. At the same time, efforts are growing to place legal curbs on the full Muslim veil, known as the niqab.

The past year has seen numerous examples: A lawyer dressed in a niqab was told by an immigration judge that she could not represent a client because, he said, he could not hear her. A teacher wearing a niqab was told by a provincial school to go home. A student who was barred from wearing a niqab took her case to the courts, and lost. In fact, the British education authorities are proposing a ban on the niqab in schools altogether.

David Sexton, a columnist for The Evening Standard, wrote recently that Britain has been "too deferential" toward the veil. "I find such garb, in the context of a London street, first ridiculous and then directly offensive," he said.

Although the number of women wearing the niqab has increased in the past several years, only a tiny percentage of women among Britain's two million Muslims cover themselves completely. It is impossible to say how many exactly.

Some who wear the niqab, particularly younger women who have taken it up recently, concede that it is a frontal expression of Islamic identity, which they have embraced since Sept. 11, 2001, as a form of rebellion against the policies of the Blair government in Iraq and at home.

"For me it is not just a piece of clothing, it's an act of faith, it's solidarity," said a 24-year-old program scheduler at a broadcasting company in London, who would allow only her last name, Al Shaikh, to be printed, saying she wanted to protect her privacy.
