Happy Birthday Slugger

Hello! Today I have CAS (for me anyway) card to share with you. When I came across this sketch I immediately thought baseball diamond so I dug through my box of already colored images and found this Penny Black cat. It's colored with a mix of Copics and Prismacolor pencils. I used a stitched die and added little metal embellishments in the corners to kinda make it look like bases. I added a star under the baseball to make it stand out a bit more and to tie in with the star embossing folder I used for the background. Finished it off with a Happy Birthday banner. I kept wanting to add more cause of all the white space but I walked away and left it be! That's it for today thanks so much for stopping by and I plan to be back tomorrow with another card! Hello! Today I have another cute birthday card to share with you. I'm in need of quite a few more as my stash is low specially "boy" ones. I used an adorable dig stamp from Bugaboo. This was my first time playing with Nuvo drops......lets just say I need a lot more practice! Anyone have any tips I'd be glad to hear them. Cosmic Newton

Hello! The other week I'd asked a friend if she knew of a stamp/set with an "out of this world" and similar type sentiments. I have these neat "space" type stickers I picked up at the Dollar Tree that I wanted to use to make cards but didn't have any sentiments. That lead to her letting me borrow this adorable Cosmic Newton set and me making this card. Happy Birthday Superstar

Hello! It's been awhile since I made anything with any of my adorable Cocoa images from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Found this one when I was going thru my box of already colored/cut stuff and thought it would go perfectly with this new embossing folder I picked up at stamp show last weekend. It's from a UK company (can't remember the name) but the folder is called "football"! ;-)  I used my Sweet 'n Sassy grass die with it for a Quick and Easy card. I made/printed the sentiment with my computer and cut it out with a PTI cloud die. Softly went around the edges with some Distress Ink. Make's for a fun kids card. Toad-ally Awesome

Hello! Time for another great sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. We are sponsored this week by Sami Stamps. I have used the Toad-ally adorable Frog Glasses 2 on my card. I flipped the sketch so that I could use this Rubbernecker sentiment I found in my stash that I thought went perfectly with this little guy. Party Pup

Hello!! Today I have a cute little boy birthday card to share with you. I'm using an adorable puppy image from Bugaboo Stamps. I colored it with my copic markers. The papers are from a Studio G $1 pk. I used an Alphabet embossing folder (that I've had forever but never used) thought it went well with the number paper. Happy 18th Birthday Kyle!

Hello! Today is my oldest son's 18th Birthday!! Happy Birthday Kyle, I Love you! He is a big Nintendo/Game nut so when I saw this Whimsie Doodles digi stamp I knew it would be perfect for him. I will be making several more of these to have on hand for any other teenage birthdays that come along! I think this was the quickest/easiest boy card that I ever made! Let's Play Ball!

Hello! Wow a whole week has went by and I haven't posted a thing! It was a rainy and dreary week here, spent most of my crafty time reading. I cut Cocoa out and popped him up, then added some grass for him to play soccer in! I softly sponged the panel behind him for some sky. Hello! Today's card uses a digi image that I've probably had colored and laying on my desk for about a year!! I saw several challenges that reminded me of him so I thought it was about time I used it. I think it turned out cute!! I put some glossy accents on his windshield/eyes and added some flower soft for dirt!! His mirrors and pipes are colored in with my Sakura clear glitter gel pen and they really sparkle. Birthday Ducks!

Hello!! This week on the Critter Sketch Challenge we were to use the colors of Donald Duck for our card! So I decided to keep the duck theme going with these cute little ducks from Gina K. They are part of the Oh, Baby set by Rupa Shevde. I thought with the ducks colored this way it could be used for a little boy's 1st birthday??! Make a wish

The High Hopes Challenge this week is "All about Kids" we were to use kid images or cards created with kids in mind. I always seem to need Kids Birthday cards so this was the perfect chance to make one. I seem to have the hardest time with "boy" cards, it so much easier to do frilly girl cards! I am happy with how this one turned out though. The colors are a little off in my photo, it's been so cloudy here all week. The polka dots DP is more green in real life. All Star

This card is for the Taylored Expressions cupcake challenge and for the color challenge on SCS. This past Friday was Taylor's Birthday, Happy Birthday Taylor!! I used my Penny Black Field of Dreams stamp. I made my own baseball buttons with plain white buttons and a Bic Mark-it permanent marker. I think they turned out ok. The stars are Ka Jinker Jems. I found them clearanced at AC Moore's last year, they were over with the T-shirts. I figured they'd work on cards too so I picked them up. They only have one hole in the middle so I added a brad in the center. I'm wondering if I should have did 3 baseballs and then just one star?? Oh well, maybe on the next one! Thanks for stopping by!

Field of Dreams

Here is my card for the Stampers Dream Dreamy Challenge. It was a color challenge and we were to use texture and bling. Since I made a masculine card I used some bangle bling that I found clearanced in the jewelry section at M's last year. I really like it on masculine cards! I used a sketch from over on the Stampin' Out Alzheimer's site. I really like this color combo and will use it again! I used a combo of prisma's and copics on this image. I just can't get hedgies or mice to look right with copics.
