I've always loved cutting out snowflakes.. they are so fun.. and no two are EVER alike.

While on Pinterest I found a link to a blog on how to make the 6 pointed snowflakes!!

Family Pics

I love doing family pictures!

I love picking out 'matching' outfits. I love dressing up. I love practicing smiles with the boys.
(That is necessary to get a few good ones!)

This year was no different.

Sladen was here for Thanksgiving so that would be best. Thank goodness our wonderful photographer was available. (She is GREAT by the way).

New floor

We were a little impulsive this weekend and got new flooring for the living room and dining room!

Not quite everything back in place, and still missing baseboards.. but we are EXCITED about the changes.

 

Halloween ??

I can't believe I didn't post pics from Halloween. It just hit me! :) It's a little late now .. but our little monster was SO cute!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is my 2nd favorite holiday.
(Christmas is my FAVORITE!!)

This year was great. There was one reason that made it even better, SLADEN WAS HERE! We love love love having Sladen here. We miss him terribly when we dont get to see him often. It means shoving a lot of family time into a short time span. What was so great about this visit was seeing Sladen and Lincoln play together. Lincoln wasn't quite walking when Sladen left us after his summer visit, so coming back to a walking and 'talking' Lincoln was super exciting.

I LOVED watching my two boys play together. I used to think Sladen was such a good big brother; now I KNOW he is more than a good big brother. He is a GREAT big brother. He played with Lincoln all day everyday. He loves sharing his room, loves sharing his toys and loves sharing his time. He is so patient and kind. I could not ask for a better kid.

Accidental First Haircut

I know.. I know.. it sounds crazy but we accidentally gave Lincoln his first haircut.

Here's what happened:

Lincoln's hair has been looking a little long lately so I went and bought a trimmer so I could trim it. ( I didn't want it CUT so I figured I could just do it myself ). After Judd got home from work I asked him to help me. We got the guard put on the trimmer, laid out a towel and got ready to trim. Lincoln did not like the trimmer so he was holding on to me with Judd doing the trimming. He started with the top. With the first swipe of the trimmer I knew things were bad.. WAY too much hair was falling slowly to the floor. Panic struck! I wasn't ready for this, but it was way too late now. Poor little Lincoln was missing a strip of hair right down the middle. After a few more swipes I started to cry. I know.. ridiculous, I just wasn't prepared! We took a pause and I grabbed the camera. Figuring we better document it then! Now my little baby looks like a little boy. :(

Karma

I have been teasing Judd lately about getting old.. He started getting white hairs! I couldn't resist.

Today, while doing my hair, I had a hair that just wouldn't do what I wanted it to .. so I pulled it out. It looked funny.. well that's because it was WHITE!!! I am 26 years old.. how am I getting white hairs??

The quiet life..

Life in the Munns house has been quiet and simple latley.

 

Lincoln is getting to be quite the talker. His favorite words are 'go', 'no' and 'cookie'.

Lincoln loves to GO. Anywhere.. the store, the park, for a walk, next door to Grandma & Grandpa's.. Whatever, he is game for it. He does the cutest little Ants in his Pants dance when he gets excited about something.

I'm afraid I've taught him a bad habit.. he points at me and says 'no' when I ask him to do something that he doesn't want to. Oops.. we'll have to correct that. It's a little funny for now though.

Lincoln has been doing really well telling us the things he wants. He is doing pretty good with sign language (even if his signs are not quite correct, I know what he is saying). He loves to get into the fridge. He does his little dance and giggles and grabs the first thing he can reach and hands it to me to open for him. The whole time laughing and dancing around. I LOVE IT!

I've been trying to find some fun indoor activities for when it is colder. We got out a bag of rice the other day and hid toys in it and let Lincoln dig around in it. He loved it.. he made a HUGE mess.

 

We've been enjoying the last of the warm weather. Lincoln is getting really good at riding the bikes at Grandma and Grandpa's house and he LOVES apples from their tree.

 

Sladen is doing great. He is getting good grades and loves to read. He is reading at a higher grade level and it makes him really excited to keep reading.

He is doing great is football. His team won their first game last week while he was the Captain!

We are so excited to see Sladen for Thanksgiving! November cannot come soon enough.

 



FRIDAY!

I am like a kid in a candy store when it comes to Fridays. . . .

 

I love having the weekends off to hang out with my boys.

I love sleeping in!

I love having time to catch up on housework.

I love how excited the kids at the school are to be off for the weekend.

I love when we have plans to do something fun with friends or family!

 

I got a new phone with a GREAT camera.. Yes I do take tons of pictures of Lincoln. :)

End of Summer 2012

We had such a fun busy summer! All sorts of new things are going on in our lives.
Judd got hired on full time at work. (He's been working as a temporary employee for about 6 months) I started a new job at a Junior High. I am the Aide in the writing lab.. and LOVING it! Sladen has started 2nd grade and also has started football.. not just football, TACKLE football. He is having a hard time with all the conditioning but he is excited to start playing games. Lincoln just had his 15 month appointment and is doing great. He is growing so fast. He just runs everywhere now.
We love our family and can't wait for more new things!
