Merry Christmas 2007!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

I know this is late but I had great Thanksgiving and I have so much to be greatful for and I wanted to share. This year for Thanksgiving we spent it with my dad's side of the family in Moorpark, CA at my aunt and uncle Williams' house. It was a blast! It is always so much fun to get together with everyone for the holidays. I wanted to share some things that I'm thankful for...

1. My wonderful husband
2. Our cute (small) appartment that is very close to family and Jeremy's school
3. My new job at CSUF
4. The fact that I walk to work and can come home for lunch with Jeremy
5. Working for the state and getting all of the good holidays off paid!
6. My good health and my husbands good health
7. Great in-laws
8. My cute nephew Travis
9. My mom,dad and brothers who love me
10. My brother Shane who is serving a mission (He comes home on Jan. 21st!)

The big 24!!!

Well yesterday was Jeremy's 24th b-day!!! I made his FAVORITE dessert "Rocky Road". If you have never tried it we will have to have you over for some. His mom usually makes it for him but this year I made it!!! It is angel food cake, choc. chips, whipped cream, and some other secret ingredients. It is really not as easy as it sounds, but that is another story...



Anyways, I wanted to share some special/funny things and reasons why I love Jeremy for his birthday...

1. He is the BEST husband in the entire world and knows all of my love languages.


2. He is so thoughtful and loves to spoil me.


3. He always ends up buying something for me when shopping for himself.


4. He is the best fashion coordinator!!! (When he feels like it)


5. He ALWAYS wakes me up with a kiss good morning.


6. He lets me lay in bed until the VERY LAST minute when I have to get up.


7. He is secretly ticklish on random days.


8. He comes up with the funniest nick names for me.


9. He does the grocery shopping (and if we go together he helps keep me on track).


10. He does the laundry (most of the time). I'm so glad I married myself a wife! jk


11. He cares deeply for other people and really gets to know them.


12. He has a strong testimony.


13. He always reminds us to say family prayer.


14. He loves to serve others


15. He loves doing outdoorsy things with me.


16. He is extremely motivated and hard working.


17. He secretly loves Christmas time just as much as I do!


18. He loves to read EVERYTHING and know facts about what is going on in the world.


19. He loves to surprise me!


20. He takes me to get ice-cream even thought he doesn't like it.


21. He loves to plan fun trips for us and is always finding new places to eat at.


22. He is tall, dark and handsome :)


23. He supports me in everything I do.


24. He helped me find the best job in the entire world! (for now)

Happy Birthday x 4!!!

On Sunday night we had a dinner to celebrate FOUR of the Murdock's birthdays. Lacey's birthday is on the 16th, Mary's is on the 18th, and Scott and Jeremy's birthday is on the 19th (no they are not twins, just exactly one year apart!). This year everyone is going away for Thanksgiving so we got together before to celebrate early. Sheri made a delicious meal which consisted of chicken (really good but I don't know what it was called), rice, cezar salad, orange serbert jello salad, steamed carrots and rolls. We topped it off a cake (for the boys) and pumpkin chiffon pie! It was delicious!

Travis LOVES anything that lights up or makes noise. We thought it would be fun to see how he reacted to the lights on the Christmas tree. As you can tell, we didn't get much of a reaction out of him. I think it was because it was kind of late and he was pretty tired. It will be fun to see how he reacts to the train that goes around the tree when we get that set up!

Again, it was pretty late and we couldn't get many smiles out of Travis. I don't know why we always take pictures late at night. He is really active and smily during the day.

Dinner at Regina's

On Friday night we went out to dinner with some friends who were visiting from UT. They were in town to see the USC game (good thing they won!) anyways... Tyler and Jeremy served in the Asunsion, Paraguay mission together. We ate at a little hole in the wall Argentine restaraunt named Regina's, in Garden Grove. It is real authentic Argentine food and I guess the food they ate in Paraguay was very similar. The boys LOVED the food, and as for the girls, well we got by with a pizza.
Seriously, there are like 6 tables in the whole place but it is always busy. The owner comes out and talks with everyone. Jeremy likes to talk to them in spanish and they are always surprised to see a white boy speaking so well. The one waiter is starting to remember us now like family!

Mary just started Travis on rice cereal. This is his second day having it and he seems to be liking it more and more. It was fun feeding him but it is a lot harder than it looks. He spits it out and it gets everywhere! Then he likes to touch his mouth and wipe it on his toes. I'm sure it will get easier to feed him as he gets older.


Here is Travis all clean and ready for bed after being fed. He is such a sweet little boy and we love him.

Ok I find that it is my husbandly duty to tell my wife "publicly".....
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BRIE~!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!!
I guess for once I will elaborate a tid-bit on some things/reasons why I love her-
1. Her patient, calm, sweet voice. (I usually get this tone.....but if I leave a knife with peanut butter on it watch out folks!)
2.The way she loves me so much!
3. The way she laughs when I am tickling her to the point that she almost cannot breathe!(oh cmon dont tell me no one has tried this? the fact that you almost cant breathe just makes you laugh harder!)
4.The way she makes me laugh when she actually finds me ticklish to the point that I almost cannot breathe!
5. How she is always thinking about me
6. She is so adventurous and is willing to move to wherever with me!
7. She lets me sing songs in the car on the radio-even the ones I can't/shouldn't be
8. She is completely hilarious and fun to be around*!!Just trust me
9. How she works so hard and sacrifices a lot for me
10. The look on her face when she gets suprised is THE BEST!
11. The fact that she has evolved into a big dog lover
12. The way she obsessess over such small/not important things.....haha yeah I have to love it because it comes with the whole package!
13. Her very much Pro-Cuddling stance on cuddling
14. How excited she gets for USC football games
15. I love her chicken enchiladas......enough said.
Okay I could go on forever but I hope the point has been made=that I love my wife, and I appreciate all of who she is and what she does. With her the last 365 days have definitely been priceless. Thank you Brie--Happy Anniversary!!

San Onofre

Well Jeremy and I went on our first camping trip together as a married couple. We camped on the bluff's of San Onofre State Beach. We got their a little later than we wanted so we ended up setting the tent up in the dark. All we had were some flashlighs so it was pretty tricky. But we had some nice camping neighbors right next to us that let us use their lantern so we could get it set up. We must have looked pretty funny trying to set that thing up in the dark by ourselves. Anyways, it ended up being a really fun night. We sat by the fire for hours just talking and laughing. It was nice to get away for the night. Our camping quarters were pretty tight and we didn't have an air matress either. There were just two sleeping bags between our backs and the ground. Needless to say that we were both pretty sore the next day.

We hiked down to the ocean in the morning and walked along the beach.

Further north in this picture there was a surf competition going on. We watched for a little while and then left.

Here are some pics from our trip to Vegas a few weeks ago. We decided to get away before school started and see some of Jeremy's friends and their wives that live in Vegas and St George. It was a blast to go out with this group and have a good time-we stayed a night at his friends house and then 2 nights at Mandalay Bay.

We ate at the House of Blues inside M-Bay......DONT WASTE your MONEY eating there!!! The house of blues was terrible!! The menu (unless you love southern food/fish) was so limited and the foods quality was'nt that great either. But the rest of the food on the trip was delicious!! We saw the Cirque Du Soleil (is that how you spell it>?) show "Le Reve" at The Wynn hotel.....it was AMAZING...we have never seen anything like that and it was absolutely spectacular!! It was a water inspired/based show with all kinds of acrobatics, stunts, swim stuff, guys/girls jumping/falling 50 feet into the water..it was choreographed to perfection with the music/script/etc. WOW....!
We pretty much spent the whole 3 days at the beach/pool area...that and the hotels day-spa......we are definitely day-spa people.....thats why we didnt want to leave!! It was nice to get away and see old friends and just be together away from good ol Fullerton.
As you can tell, I am writing this in Cardinal Red color.....that is because its college football season and Jeremy is beyond excited for it to start so he can spend his saturday's (i mean the WHOLE day) watching all the games....so if anyone wants to hang out let me know! lol. anyways, his favorite team since he was a little tyke has been the USC Trojans and as you might have heard, their really good. so we cant wait for the season to start! Go Trojans!!

Soul 2 Soul 2007!!!!!

Well my cute and thoughtful husband has done it again! That is he suprised me with the most wonderful early birthday present ever!!!! I found out on Wed. night that on Fri night he had gotten tickets to the Tim and Faith "Soul 2 soul" tour!!!! I was soooo excited because I knew they were in town but I never thought we would be able to get tickets. So of course I rush home from work on Friday afternoon because he was taking us to my favorite restraunt (BJ's)before the concert. On our way I noticed a couple walking down the street. I said to Jeremy, "Hey, that looks like Ashley and Jake." (they are great friends of ours from Rside)not thinking anything of it. Then the closer we got I noticed that it was actually Ashely and Jake!!! I was soooooo excited to see her! They don't exactly live around the corner so it was a great surprise! They were holding a sign that said, "Got tickets to Tim and Faith concert?" Then I realized that Jeremy had planned the concert/dinner ahead with them so we could all go together!!!! It made the night that much better!!!

The the long ride of 4 miles from the restaurant to the Honda Center took us 1 and a half hrs to get to get there!!!!! It was so frustrating sitting in traffic but it was so much fun to be with Ashley and Jake. We drank Tab energy drinks and ate all sorts of candy like starbursts, junior mints, good and plenty, boston baked beans... etc. Needless to say we were very hyped and ready to go into the concert.

The pictures from inside the Honda Center didn't turn out very well because of my crappy camera, but just trust me, both Tim and Faith looked way hot. Faith sounded amazing!!!! They sang from like 830 till 1215!! The crowd was great and the show was the best!! Overall the night was so much fun and it made for a great way to start off our weekend!
