What a great day!!!

Friday, August 14, 2009 we added another girl to our family. Harper Tracy Garcia was born at 3:09 p.m. weighing 5 lbs. 12 oz. and 18 inches long. She is so tiny and beautiful. She has light brown hair and is just perfect. She looks alot like Tayler as a baby. Gabbi, Jered, Tayler, & Matti came to the hospital on saturday to see there new sister. They love her and ask lots of questions about her. Matti does not like anybody else to touch Harper except her. She pushes everyones hands away and tells them "NO". They love kissing her and poking her face. Harper is going to be one tough cookie! Saturday night Jeremy took the kids home to let them sleep in there beds so I was by myself at the hospital. Jeremy has always stayed with me every night when we had our babies, so this was kinda scary. But Harper did great. She went to the nursery at 10:30 pm and came back to eat at 2:30 then back to nursery at 3:30 till 7:00. I was able to get alot of sleep. I missed having daddy here with me, but with 4 kids at home you have to do what is best for everyone. We are so happy to have her here safe and sound. I am posting a few pics now and will post a slide show of her another day. We get to go home tomorrow and are looking forward to the new adventures that await us. July

This month has been busy so far... We moved again, yes that would be 3 times in about 5 weeks. Now we are renting Jeremys uncle house in Hooper. We are very grateful he is letting us do this. We appreciated Tracy and Kris letting us stay with them. But now we have our own place and the kids can have all their toys and clothes, plus we are not bugging anybody. At least the neighbors haven't complained yet. We cannot even begin to thank the people that have helped us out.
Jeremy's brother and his family and mom came over the 4th of July. Jered turned 6 and another parade. And the month is only half over.

Parades

the kids love parades and living in Utah in the summer gives you plenty of opportunity to attend parades. My parents live in Pleasant View so we went to that parade. Grandpa Hjorten was in that parade as one of the city councilman. Yes, Matti is at the parade with rollers in her hair because our next stop after the parade was the Plain City Baby Contest. If you don't remember, when we lived in Plain City 3 years ago we put Tayler in the baby contest and he won CUTEST BABY for his age group. So we decided that since we were living at Tracy's and she lives in Plain City that we would enter Matti this year. And of course she won CUTEST BABY in her age group. She was so funny talking and blowing kisses and smiling for the judges. She is such a ham. Gabbi, Jered, & Tayler were so excited for her. Because she won she got to ride on the Baby Contest float on the 4th of July for Plain City Days parade. She loved waving to people and wearing her sunglasses.

Cody Park Rides, Ice Cream, & Friends

Our last night in North Platte

we decided we had to make one last trip to Cody Park for the BEST SOFT SERVE ice cream in the world (at least that is our opinion). We meet our friends the Zimmermans and Songster there and had ice cream then let the kids ride the rides. While we were riding our friend the Epleys came. We had a great evening with our friends and ice cream.
