2 months

I can't believe my baby is two month old ( well now he is 2 1/2 months). He is so much fun.
At his 2 month check-up he:
weighted- 11.5lbs he is in the 46%. ( he went from the 5th to they 46th!)
height: 22inches he is in the 16%
head: 15.3- he in in the 24%

*Boston loves mornings. He smiles all the time in the mornings and loves to kick and play on the ground.
* He still loves the bath! We have to refill the water at least 3 times every night.
* At 10 weeks he started sleeping through the night. He has slept from 9pm to 8am 4 nights in a row!! I hope it lasts!
*He loves apple juice.
*He loves the sound of the vacuum and the hair dryer.
*He really like his bouncer!
*He hates getting in his car seat!

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we went to my Grandma's house for dinner. After dinner we were able to go to Jess' parents house and visit with his family. It is so nice to be able to spend time with both sides of the family on holidays.

Boston's Blessing

On November 27 we were able to bless Boston. Jess did an AMAZING job. It was such a sweet blessing. I am so thankful for the two boys in my life!

After the blessing we had lunch at the Senior Citizen Center in Smithfield. We are so glad that our family and friends came and helped us celebrate Boston's special day. Here are a few pictures I took.

One Month Old

I can't believe that Boston is over a month old. He is getting so much bigger! Here are a few pictures of Boston and some things he likes.

He likes to have stories read to him and to be rocked. His favorite book so far is Dr. Seuss ABC book. He also likes to stick out his tongue.


He loves to watch the ceiling fan.


He also likes to lay on his blanket and play with his toy ball.


He LOVES bath time especially when daddy is the one giving him the bath. He could stay in the tub all night.


Every time we lay him down to change him he just stares at the mirror.


Some other things about Boston:
He eats every 2 hours during the day and every 3 hours at nights.
He likes to sit in his swing and bouncer.
He always has his hands up by his face.
He likes his binki unless he is really mad.
He likes to lay on the chest of the person who is holding him.
He weighs around 8lbs.
The last time we went to the Dr. he was in the 5th percentile in everything.

Boston you are so much fun and we love you.

Halloween

For Halloween this year Jess, Boston, and I just spend time with our families and showed off our little monkey!

On the Friday before Halloween we had a party at our house. Some of our friends came over and we ate soup and carved pumpkins.

This year for the party we dressed up as baseball players in honor of the World Series. Jess was a Texas Ranger, I was a Cardinal, and Boston was a Boston Red Sox.


Jake, Cal, and Bre were athletes, Chelsie and Stephen were John and Kate Plus 8, Jess, Boston, and I were baseball players, Matt and Mckenzi were Oreo and Anzli was the cream filling, and Ryan and Ginger were little red riding hood and the big bad wolf.

Boston's Story

On Thursday October 6th I woke up about 1am with contractions. They weren't extremely strong but they were consistant. By 1:45am the contractions were still consistant so I decided to get up and walk around. I had been having contraction off and on since Sunday but they usually didn't last this long. By 1:50am my water broke. I really didn't know what was happening exactally because my water didn't burst it just started coming slowly. I went into wake up Jess and when I told him that my water broke he didn't believe me. He said "are you sure?" I was 2 and a half weeks early so I can understand why Jess didn't believe this was happening, I wasn't really sure I should believe myself. Well Jess got up and started to get ready but he was taking his sweet time. He wandered around for a minute still in disbleief. Finally about 20 minutes later while he was brushing his teeth and I started pounding on the door telling him we really need to go. The night before all of this happened I was putting away laundry and decided that maybe I should pack us and Boston a hospital bag "just in case" we needed it. Well looking back I am so glad I did. By this time it is now around 2:30am, my constraction were a lot stronger and my water was still "breaking." We checked into Labor and Delivery around 2:50 am and the nurse came it to check and see how things were going. She confirmed that my water did break and that I was dilated to a 5. After this she started asking me questions like if I wanted a epidural etc and Jess turns to her and says "so wait we are staying" She just smiled and said that we were having a baby today. Jess was still in disbelief until that point. The anesthesiologist was not supposed to be into work until 4 so I had to wait until about 430am to get my epidural and he did a great job. One of Jess' best friends Matt and his wife Mckenzi were scheduled to have their little girl Anzli on the same day. Jess new that they were supposed to call the hospital at 5 that morning to find out what time they should come in so at 5 Jess sent a text to Matt and told him that he had a room saved right next door. When Matt wrote back they were actually there walking down the hall and they were put in the room right next door. The whole time Mckenzi and I were pregnant they boys joked that is would be cool to be in the hospital together but we were due 3 weeks apart so nobody thought it was possible. Well it turns out that Boston and Anzli really wanted to be born on the same day! By 6am that morning I was dilated to a 10 and 100% effaced. They were going to have me try and wait and hour before pushing but by 6:23 they had me start to push. I ended up pushing until 9:39am when he was finally born. He was very closed to coming but he was stuck on my bone so they ended up using the vacuum to help him come. He is so perfect and we love him so much!

Happy Birthday Jess

For Jess' 26th birthday we had a cookout at our house. We cooked hotdogs and had fresh veggies from our garden. Both of our families were there and we spent the night just visiting.

Labor Day Weekend

We started off Labor Day weekend by going to a Real Soccer game on Saturday. Real got the victory and it was a great game. While we were in Salt Lake we ended up getting Jess' birthday present a few days early. I was trying to find him a road bike and we hadn't found one yet. While we were in Salt Lake we found this one.

On Labor day Jess, Max, and I went with Jess' family on a hike up Logan Canyon in the morning. The weather was awesome and we all had a great time.

After the hike we all went home and changed so we could go to the movie 17 Miricles. After watching the movie I defentally know I would not have made a good pioneer. They sacrificed so much and I am very greatful for what they did. When the movie was over Jess and I headed back to our house to have a cookout with my family. Before we cooked dinner we all went out front and hung out. We played on Jess' new bike and road the long board and scooters.

Roman loves to ride Jess' longboard with him but as he gets more independent he wants to do it alone so Jess found a way that he could ride by himself. He would sit on the board and ride down the driveway into the grass. He loved this. He would go down and then push the board all the way back up the driveway to Jess.


He still likes to ride with Jess though. He doesn't care if they are standing or sitting as long as they are going fast.
