What is, the reason Jill has not yet gotten dressed or washed her face today, Alex? Fun times for sure! I suck, but like all true addicts I will keep going back for more.

My BFF Katie brought her 22 month old twins Trey and Beau over for a play date with the dogs. Needless to say everyone was very tired by the time they went home and happily no one was injured! Katie can save lots of money on Christmas this year, all they need is a full doggie water dish!

Trey didn't stop moving the entire time he was here which is why all his pictures are blurry, sorry!

Curry in a hurry!

I finally got the chance to dress up in my authentic saree from India on Halloween. I realized after I was already at the party I forgot half my jewelry so this will have to do for now. The outfit my mom is wearing is called a salwar/khameez and I got that in India too. I want to go back! Anyone in??

Genetics are a powerful and scary thing

So yesterday was Allden's 11th birthday. We sent him a gift card for GameStop (his mom's suggestion) and an ant farm (my brilliant idea!). Some of you may remember that a couple of years ago my dear sweet husband asked for an ant farm for his birthday, claiming he was an "ant enthusiast". I was not surprised to receive a call from Allden on his birthday telling us how much he LOVES his ant farm! A little snippet of our conversation....

Jill: Happy Birthday! Did you get both things we sent?
Allden: Yes that's why I'm calling! I love my ant farm!!
J: Oh good! I was hoping you would.
A: Yeah I'm kinda having a hard time making the ants stay in though
J: Huh? You have to send in the coupon and they mail you the ants....
A: Oh yeah, I didn't want to wait so I went outside and hunted some up

It is this statement that makes me believe genetics are both powerful and scary. I could have easily had this same conversation with Clint. Bless both their little hearts!

Purses galore!

So I had a little get together last weekend for some cocktails, laughter, and purses! As is becoming the custom anytime I have a party, it freakin' snowed (yes, in September) but it turned out to be fun anyway! The awesome purse lady Olga (yes, really) brought about 200 purses that she draped over all my furniture and anywhere we had room.

An early anniversary present

Next week Clint and I will celebrate our seventh (!!!) wedding anniversary. He surprised me yesterday with an early gift! What, you may ask, could a lucky wife of seven years be given? Flowers? Jewelry? An hour long hot rock massage with a hot Nordic man named Gunther? Oh no my friends...a used Nintendo Gamecube and old school games to go with it! Needless to say the geek in me is thrilled! I hope I still have time to pass my classes....
