My fantastic day totally punctured. Deflated. Gone. No more. Nil.

Noooo!

Just found out that a friend of mine is leaving for New Zealand in Feb.

:'-(

Arrrgh. Why why why why??!

What's wrong with Malaysia??

Why leave EVERYTHING including family to go somewhere else??

I'm upset. Yeah. Seriously. SUPER upset. ARRGH.

This hurts man. Seriously it HURTS. Painfully so.

Awesome day!

Don't ask me why. Every bone in my entire body ached since yesterday, as it was even worse today.

Still..

I had a wonderful time during training. I don't know why. Haha. Just.. well, enjoyed myself. Played a fool quite a lot, but I guess that just added to the good time.

Man. I love this game called badminton. Haha. Competitive.. not so much lah. Can't fool around then.. much anyway. Hehe.

People who play badminton without laughing are nuts. Totally. How can you play such a serious game?? Why is it called a GAME then?? Hehehehe.

That's about it. Nursing my aching body now.. seriously, every single muscle I own groans everytime I move. I'm surprised I survived training today, and enjoyed it too. Hehehe.

=D =) =P

I got my straight A's!!! 7 A's! =D

Thank you God =) All things are really possible with you, eh?

But it makes me wonder.. would I be disappointed in You if I had missed 1 A?? Or 2?

I've stayed up too long.. I wonder when my turn is coming. If I continue.. I will face disappointments, but all by His will. =)

Anyway, yeah. The full realisation still hasn't sunk in yet. I got straight A's!

I would like to thank my friends who supported me.. the hugs were really not my style, but I couldn't help it, you people practically grabbed me! =P It's okay, it's not as if I collect my PMR results everyday, right?

Yes. This milestone has been conquered. I won a couple of gold medals and got my 7A's.

*Taking aim now* I will try my best in the coming 2 years.

And for friends who didn't do so well? Take this as a challenge! I've seen people who do poorly in UPSR ace PMR with flying colours! You've got your real exam coming up after this.. SPM. Give it your all.

I'm online!

Hehe. Surprising eh. I'm currently stuck in Holiday Inn Damai Beach in a far away land called Santubong. No where to go! Nearest town is 35km away. Sheesh.

How is it so far? Okay lah. The waves are HUGE compared to the west coast's beach. But drty. Kuantan's beach was much cleaner. Hehe.

Leaving at 8pm tomorrow night. I'm beginning to dread the day after tomorrow: PMR results day! =( Arrgh.

But I will enjoy my last 24 hours here. Hehe. Dinner buffet on the way!

And this is the 1st time my family actually called the room service.. since there are no food stalls around here. Lol. This holiday seemed extra expensive, with us spending so much money. 1 hour of internet? Not telling ya how much. =P Okay.. fine.. it's 20cents per minute. You calculate how much per hour.

That's about it. Blog later.. likely it'll really be after PMR results this time. Hehehehe. That was a 'nervous' laugh by the way.

Going to Sarawak...

Land of the Hornbills. Right? Hehe.

2nd time.. this time staying at some beach resort. Hehe. Till Wednesday night.. supposed to be Thursday.. but because PMR results are coming out then.. *belch*

Well, doubt I'll be online then. Soo...

Blog after that! It's most likely I'll be blogging after my PMR result.. telling the whole world what I got.. hahaha. To still hope that I'll do well will be in vain as the results are already printed and waiting for my eyes. So I'll just take the results and be happy with it.

Maids

This topic.. well, will be kinda sensitive for some people with maids. I'm sorry if I offend you in any way, it's really not meant to offend anyone, just my point of view. Okay? =)

How many of us have maids? Quite a number. Now, I only had a maid when I was really young, 3 years old. She went off when I was 3, and my family has been without one since then. Nevertheless, my house is still spick and span, ask any visitor who dropped by my house before.. tis cleaner than most people who have maids too!

Maids are human beings too. I've seen maids being ordered around like dogs before, as if they are expected to serve their boss!

Oh fine. So they are supposed to serve them. I don't know. I feel a maid should help out with house hold chores.. but..

I don't know. I suppose I really don't understand. I've heard of maids being barred from stepping out of the house, using phones, watching tv, sleeping early.. etc.

I pity these maids. I seriously do.

Hello! Imagine you're working in a foreign country.

Now, imagine you're not allowed to use the phone to call your friends. You're not even allowed to get your own handphone, even if you pay for it yourself!

My my..

Next, you're not allowed out of your boss's house.

NOOO!

No social life!

Now.. the finale...

Imagine you're banned from even watching the TELEVISION! *GASP*

How many here can honestly say they can survive without the television??

I can, because I'm a reader. I only turn on the television when I'm really really bored, or my eyes are too strained from reading.

Okay, so we imagine that the maid is a book-worm. Fat chance.

Even worse! They don't have books to read!! It's likely that they'll want to buy some...

But because they aren't allowed out of the house...

No books.

Now you see the whole picture?

Still don't?

Okay, let me put it this way. What does your world revolve around?

1. Friends ---> which the maid won't have!
2. Phone ---> which the maid misses out on!
3. Internet ---> 200% you'll never allow her to touch the com!
4. Television ---> NOOOO! Another thing the maid misses out!

Still don't get it? Sorry, if you don't get it.. well, most people of average-intelligence would understand. I hope.

I know there are people out there that treat their maids wonderfully.. I've seen them before. I admired the maid, and the family. Most of all, I respected the parents the most. The way they treat the maid is the way the kids treat the maid.

I even saw them buy the maid a bowl of lasagna(which is not cheap in Secret Recipe!)! I really admired that family. Oh yeah. Definitely. This was one happy maid.

So, which are you? The kind who bosses your maid around, or who treats your maid with respect? They are paid a miserable income of about RM500-600 a month to do all the junk that people don't want to do!!! And here you go treating them like that.

Let me tell you, when you treat someone nicely, they will respect you in return. I had fantastic memories with my maid, young though I was.

She brought my bro and I to the field every single day in the evenings to mix with the other kids, whose maids brought them out too.

The maids played games with us, organised games for us, taught us to settle fights with a hand shake.. yeah, I remember that one. We all shook hands after a fight. Lol.

In return? The maids got a nice evening outside, speaking in their own mother tongue among each other, enjoying themselves. The kids were safe, and we made friends. The neighbours whom I was never introduced to?

Guess what. Their maids were confined to the house.

Yeah. Maids can be a blessing.. if you treat them with respect.

That's about it..
Joanne

Lost!

Quarter finals.. loL!

Win 1st round advance into quarter finals already lah. Lol.

Played against the 2nd seeded pair.

Lost the 1st set, badly. 2-15. 2nd set we gave a lot more fight. Went down 9-15. We were actually leading 7-5, 8-5, then.. 9-7, 9-8.. and lost it. Sigh.

I'm satisfied with my game though. Hehe. Very. After my poor performance in singles.. this really boosted my confidence. =)

My coach was quite happy too.. hehe.

Still.. I kinda wish.. we got another pair... sure enter semis then.. haiz.

Oh well. That's life for you.

Coach brought us to Giant Kelana Jaya later on.. then training. Training was enjoyable. As always. Plus.. no physical! =D Think too many injuries among our players.. the coaches got worried. Lol.

That's all..

Dieded.. 1st round singles

Yep. Lost 4-11, 2-11. Hardly any fight lah. I just couldn't play well yesterday, went in the court feeling like my legs were gonna cramp any moment. My friends said I played really badly.. which is something I've not heard from them before. Usually even if I lose they'll tell me I gave a good fight. Oh well. When you're on top, there's nowhere to go but.. guess where?

Down.

Can't expect to win all the time. All 4 of us U15 girls lost yesterday 1st round. Mampus. Must have disappointed our coach, hehe.

Doubles today, in the afternoon later on. 4.50pm. Even if we get past the 1st round.. well, we're meeting the 2nd seeded pair... guess this tournament the draw is just super against me. Lol!

Anyway, just gonna go in and give it my all! =D

I seem to be at a standstill. There is something huge blocking my path. BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT OBSTACLE IS! Arrrgh...

Maybe I do.. maybe not.. Wish I can detour and go around that huge block.. but I can't seem to let go. :'(

Done with a hectic week

Yep, that week was done. Results?

Slightly twisted ankle & a good shoulder. =D

With Selangor Close coming I was invited by my XD's partner to go for training.. had to turn down last Friday due to my ankle. Oh well.

My ankle is almost 100% okay now.. was just a slight twist. During doubles.

That's about it..

Oh yeah! I had my good laugh last week. =D I was needing one you see. The kind of laugh where tears run down your face + your stomach muscles hurt. During badminton. How was I to know the two jokers could make me laugh so much.. after that scolded us for not taking the game seriously too. *rolls eyes*

Yep. That's about it.

My shoulder is still intact! =D

Yep, you got it. My shoulders are still in place.. not dislocated.. yet. Lol. 1 more day of this mad week and I'll fall flat in bed after that. Hehe.

Badminton camp in the morning this whole week, then stayed back for training every afternoon. That means I spent about.. 10-11 hours in the badminton hall in 4 days.

Yikes. Glad my shoulder is still intact though.

Besides, confirmed that I cannot take badminton to a higher level. Imagined training like this.. no way man. My shoulder would give way. Hehehe...

But I don't mind lah. I enjoy badminton too much to take it to a higher, more serious level. Lol. I play it to laugh and joke around, not to win win win.

What do I take seriously?? Only God.. studies is well..kinda play play too. Lol. Badminton.. when I feel like playing seriously I do. When I don't.. I don't. Unless my coach is watching, of course. Gotta be dead serious then =P

Overall? Awesome week so far. Achey, but awesome. =D Shoulder don't you dare give up on me now! 1 more full day is all I ask, okay?

Maybe I should send that to God. Please God? =)

Going back to train for Selangor close now.

I won!

I played 7 matches yesterday. Supposed to be 8, but I received a walkover from my U15 doubles opponents.

No fight at all lah, most love games. But one match made me super satisfied and happy. :-D

I beat a girl in U15 singles rubber set! =D She was a head taller than me too. Score: 6-11, 13-10, and 11-4. I was really the underdog in this match. People expected me to lose. Honestly, I thought I would lose after losing the 1st set already.. 6-11. I even reached the 6th point because she made a number of mistakes in a row.

Then in the 2nd game.. she led 5-1. I caught up a bit. 3-5. Then she reached 8. I was kinda.. well, giving up hope already. I mean, another 3 points to victory for her.

Then, by some fantastic miracle.. I started to attack. And realised that her defense was poor. So I smashed both sidelines. Caught up slowly, a few services exchanged in between but she couldn't score any more. So 8-8.. then 9-8.. then 10-8.. THEN she caught up. 10-10. I deuced 3.

At 12-10, my opponent ask permission to drink water. So we both went to our baskets. That was when I realised that my string was broken! Lol. Must have been a smash. I don't know. Then I heard my friends sighing, "NOW ONLY SHE REALISES!!!" I really didn't know okay! It seems they were screaming about my string for the last 3-4 points, but I was so used to their cheering I must have tuned it all out. Lol!

Well, I still managed to lob, smashed etc. with that racquet. I don't know how. Lol.

Changed my racquet to the Ti-5 Light. Felt kinda heavy, but I smashed the shuttle down and won with that racquet. So.. yeah, it was ok. Score was 13-10.

Wow. I tell you, I was sooo happy. I knew she was exhausted already you see, and I could easily go through another game to beat her. In the 5 minutes break my coach talked to me, and told me what to do etc etc. I had the advantage already cause I wasn't tired. She was.

By the 3rd game she hardly gave a fight, and went down tamely 11-4.

Gotta thank my coach for the stamina. =D After that I played 1 more singles, U17, won 11-0, 11-1. Then doubles U15, won 15-0, 15-4. Then doubles U17.

Yes, I know. Exhausting day eh? I myself don't know where the energy comes from.

Then.. today... I was expecting a really tough match against my U15 singles opponent. She was slightly below yesterday's opponent's level, but I was still expecting to really fight it all out.

I was right. But.. at 8-8... she fell down trying to take my smash. Twisted her ankle. Ouch. The umpire called the referee, referee called the St. Johns, they sprayed painkiller on her leg. But.. it obviously didn't help. She took such a long time deciding whether to continue or not. She decided not to when she realised she was limping. So I received a walkover. Shook her hand and apologised. Mind you, I was really apologetic. I never meant to 'kill' her off!

After that most people I met kind of scolded me.. my coach said, "Win good enough lah, why go and hit until she cannot walk??" Hahaha! Yesterday's opponent said, "Good thing I'm still alive!" My other coach said, "You're stronger than her cause she sprained her ankle." That was a really funny one. Lol.

And my friends? Told me not to kill people off also.. lol.

Well, it was really an accident. How would I know she would fall and twist her ankle while trying to defend a smash??

CP: "Everywhere you go you make a big impact. Either you cause heartache(yesterday's match that I played my heart out) or you injure your opponent."

And well.. today I played 4 semi finals in the morning. Singles U15, U17, and Doubles U15, U17. No fight lah.. was surprised this tournament's standard was so low.

And.. I reached all 4 finals! I was totally absolutely shocked okay. Really! I mean, FOUR?? My coaches and the officials told me that I made history in KLBA today.. one of the higher ranking fella that used to umpire international matches told me that it was his first time ever he heard of such a thing.

Next thing he told me, "You better not lose all 4! Otherwise you're stupid.."

Hahaha!

Well. I lost my U15 singles. 4-11, and.. 3 or 4-11 also. To this really tall tall girl. KL player. She made me run around the court like 1 mad fool. Hahaha! Well, I heard the people laughing at me.. but truthfully, I was happy I managed to take all the shots instead of letting them go. I informed her that she was my tallest opponent ever. ;-) Lol! She was slightly over 1 head taller than me. hahaha!

U15 doubles and U17 doubles were against the same opponents. Lol. They took part in both too. Lost. Sadly. Could have won, easily too. Haiz. Well, things happen.

Won the most unexpected event of all.. U17 singles! Lol. The U17 really no standard at all. I beat my opponent 11-0, 11-0. The officials just shook their head at me. They know me you see, I helped in the umpiring 1st day.

So I got 4 medals, 3 silver 1 gold. 3 Yonex racquet bags, and 1 Carb 5 Super racquet. I have no idea what to do with the racquet bags though. It's nice, bright yellow, but single compartment. I have no use for such small bags. Worth Rm49.90. Can sell it off? I gave one away. Have 2 more. As a matter of fact, I still have an unopen RSL double compartment racquet bag. Using my 2 compartment Dunlop bag that I won in the XD competition now.

Awesome day. Played 8 matches today. People wondering how I managed to survive. My coaches joked while watching my game, Joanne's on a marathon today! Yeah.. indeed. I was really really surprised.. I didn't expect to make it to finals for ALL the events I joined! Lol.

Oh yeah, originally my coach put me under 3 events, U15 singles + doubles, and U17 singles. Then yesterday the main fellow in charge asked me if I wanted to take part in U17 doubles. I readily said yes, apparently some people weren't showing up. So we took their place.

So it's a good thing I umpired the day before too.. all the officials knew me already.. if that fellow hadn't known me he wouldn't have bothered to ask me if I wanted to take over some people's place. So I was in 4 events. Yep. Lol.

Ah. 15 matches in 2 days. Really marathon. Go back training this Monday sure gonna hear everyone's opinion. Acks. Just glad I made my coaches proud though. :-D Apparently going into the finals is already a fantastic achievement.

I was known as Lim Ee Wei throughout the tournament. My coach forgot to add the Joanne, he thought it wasn't in my birth cert. Arrgh.

The officials knew me as Joanne when I umpired. They were surprised when I registered as Lim Ee Wei.

And all my U15 & U17 games clashed. Lol! It was one game after another after another. Rest about 30 minutes, then continue. How did I make it ah???

Well, going back to training. Gonna play in Selangor close. Will be tougher, but I've got the confidence. :-P

Oh.. and another thing.

Guess what?

I was the shortest. My U15 & U17 opponents were all at least half a head taller than me. =P Oh well, hope this proves that shortness isn't a handicap. Lol.

My first job ever! :-P

I earn RM15 today. Hahahaha!

How?

Umpire 1 game = RM1

My coach asked me to help with the umpiring.. not enough umpires I think. So since I didn't have any games today I umpired the whole day, from.. about 9.15am to 4.30pm. 15 games altogether. Could have done more, but had to leave already.

Hehehe. Umpires had free lunch too.

Interesting day lah. My games are all tomorrow... U15 singles at 11.20am, UI15 doubles at 11.40am, and U17 singles at 12.40pm. Don't know how I'll have the energy for doubles.. sooo soon after my singles. Ack. Nevermind, will try my very best.

Looking forward to the U17 singles though. 1 whole category higher. Hehe. Ought to be fun!

Then again, badminton is always fun, right? :-P

So need to sleep early now, preparing for at least 3 matches, if I win all 3, another 3 in the afternoon. :-D If I lose all, I'll train harder than ever for Selangor close. This one isn't that important to me.. honestly, I'm not looking for the title in this tournament. Why? Can't tell you.. If I get the title, I fear complications may arise. Lol.

I enjoyed my 1st paying-job today! =D Lol.

Satisfied.. Super =D

Why am I sooo satisfied? I managed to push a guy into rubber set today.. no need to play rubber set though. He beat me 1st game 17-14, then I beat him 15-14. Why not deuce? He didn't want to.. he was really really exhausted. Don't know why.

2nd game he was leading 10-14.. but I somehow refused to give in to him. I really wanted to win that set, to prove something(I don't know what) to myself. And I didn't give up at all.. I scored 1 point at a time, he got back the service, but I fought back super duper hard. He smashed and smashed and smashed, I was all over the court attempting to defend. Finally, I reached 14-14, and he didn't want to deuce. So I just shrugged, and when he made a mistake I just killed the shuttle.

:-) Really proves that when there's a will, there's a way.

Of course.. I think I'm satisfied too easily.. I just relaxed after that, I somehow had the mentality that I didn't need to play anymore. Believe me, I was really totally punctured, with my stomach feeling a bit queasy. Due to lunch, or other reasons I don't know. CP left halfway, her stomach was causing too much trouble. Mine wasn't that bad, but my tummy did feel uncomfortable.

While I was regaining my energy, rejuvenating.. my coach had me to play against a girl. Trust me, I really didn't want to play this match. I knew I would have to dig deep into my reserves in order to win this match.

But yeah, I was satisfied with my previous match. So I hardly put up a fight in this game. I lost 3-11, 8-11. Truthfully, I didn't attack much, I waited for HER mistakes. I wasn't up to pushing myself. Bad atittude eh? But doesn't matter. Lol. I think my coach knew that I wasn't very serious.. I hardly ran for any shots, just.. well, played normally. Fooling around.

Now you know why I don't intend to take badminton too far. Lol. It's.. too much of a fun sport to take it seriously. Hehe. Anything taken too seriously will become.. not fun. Yep. Definitely. Imagine if I won the All England title.. Lol! If ever, I will be sooooo happified I wouldn't play my heart out for other tournaments. Yeah.. right.

This morning had a badminton session with school mates. Enjoyed myself hehehe. After that went to Ming Tien to eat lunch.. and celebrate Alwin's bday. Well, 'celebrate'. Hahaha! The 'cake' was.. cute. :-D Was in the midst of the 'OPA' group. *rolls eyes* Makes you wonder why people want to join an 'exclusive' group, eh? Possibly to 'make a mark' in society? *shrugs* I've no idea.

Overall, had a good day today. Definitely makes me wince at the thought of quitting badminton. Arrgh. But I guess God has other plans for me :-D I'll rather do His work than fulfill my own pleasures. I think. I hope. Hehehe. God gives best to those who leave the choice to Him. =D Better than winning games/competitions/tournaments? Wow I can't wait for that! :-)

Meanwhile, I'll enjoy badminton. Until one thing or other makes me quit.. particularly ___ ________. Hehe. Till then, I'll give it my best.

Went cycling today.. at about 6.40pm. Didn't cycle for about 2 weeks now, and my legs itched to.. well, cycle. I had this.. well, many 'spurts' of energy put together, and went off on highest gear, I daresay paddling like a maniac. Haha! When I get like this, be careful! I knoweth not the meaning of 'tired' when I have these energy filled times.

But of course.. to start my cycle around the neighbourhood.. I had to see a school teacher of mine. You know awkward it is when you see someone you don't know, yet you know she/he is from your school? Make that your teacher. She sees me walking home everyday too. She was walking around the park.. the one I enjoy just going round and round and round. But nooo.. with her there, I immediately made a change of plans and went down the road. Went for a mad cycle all the way up again.. on the way up, on the slope going upwards.. I encountered 2 big dogs, no doubt rejoicing to see a cycler they could chase. In my panic, I just paddled harder, straight onto a curb! Had to turn to my right almost immediately or end up dead (at the very least badly banged-up) in the drain. I must have cycled sooo fast the dogs lost me. Good thing too. I really thought I'm in for it now, going uphill too. I could imagine the dog sinking it's flesh into me.. *shudders*

My heart racing by now.. I can tell you, no race on earth can make my heart race so hard as when running away from a dog. Dogs, in this case.

Cycled 1 more round.. decided my nerves could take it no longer.. it's one thing to be chased by a dog on even ground, another when you're going up a slope, on highest gear too!

Went home, took about 5-10 minutes for my heart to stop racing.

Then I plunked myself in front of the com. My hand is just itching to pick up a fantasy book, but instinct tells me that would be a stupid thing to do. Well, when I'm done using the computer I've a feeling I will pick up another book, but that very well can't be helped, can it?

After reading the Da Vinci Code, I've moved up 1 level.. I need novels like that, really a page-turning thriller. Tis like money.. once you've got a taste of it, you can't settle for anything less. ooooh man. :-(

Books

Books are powerful. Be it online books or real books. Depending on the author's work, we can either get bored.. or go crazy. Lol. I mean it!

When we need to escape reality we read.. well, super fictional story books. Everything ends up nice and comfy and fantastic after going through some trials.

When we need to be jolted back to reality, pick up some really depressing novel about a person's life. Yep.

When we need inspiration we pick up the Bible.

Well, I read a few fantasy books the last few days.. it gave my imagination a really really good long nice ride. Making the return to planet earth much much harder. Hehe.

Don't we sometimes hope our lives end up like some of these books? :-)

Where do I stand?

Good question. I have no idea where. I don't fit in any 'group'. I don't know why. Well, perhaps I do know why, but that is my own sweet secret to keep, no? ;-)

What disturbs me is that there are many people out there, attempting to replace Jesus with something else. People nowadays are busy finding things/activities/whatsoever to replace their 'emptiness' with some worldly thing.

Attempting to avenge others.. attempting to 'pay back'.. tis funny how people MUST pay back evil for evil, yet rarely pay back good for good.

Then again, there are others who just seem to enjoy sucking others dry, not caring for others at all, preferring to bother friends over family. Why? They know friends won't scold them back.. family will. They know friends will just keep it in them, family will let it go on them. Incredibly selfish, if you ask me.

Selfishness.. seems to haunt all of us, doesn't it? I must admit I am selfish sometimes too.. when I feel that I have been taken advantage of too much. Then again, the Bible tells us to love unconditionally. So I try my very best not to hold a grudge, to love unconditionally. God knew how to test me all right. He tested me in a span of 1 year. Guess He knew giving me a few months would be too easy for me(but maybe not for others), hardly a test at all. And boy, I nearly failed that test. I hardened my heart. *Sorry Lord, but I'm human after all.. I'm trying my very best* I may have failed it. The good thing about my Lord is that He never gives up! =D

*Thinks* Oh no Lord! PLEASE! Not another year! *Sigh* There will be a very very different test for the next 2 years. If I pull through the next 2 years my stand in Christ will be very very much stronger. Sometimes we need to throw ourselves into situations that forces us to depend entirely on the Lord, or failure will surely happen. The next 2 years will not be ENTIRELY depending on Him, but way more than my previous years of schooling. It's a small step, isn't it?

Next year I will have to see how strong my stand is. How much of water in the cup that can be polluted. I pray, none at all. Yes, indeed I pray. Stand firm the next 2 years and I'm ready. Ready to face the real nasty world. :-D

Been busy

Yep, haven't blogged for quite a while. Honestly, I just didn't feel up to it(blogging). Don't know why.

Well, I have been super busy of late.. hehe. 1U-badminton-home-badminton-1U-you get it.

Hehehe.

What's happening?

I'm getting hard-hearted. =( Sigh. Thought it would never ever happen to me..

But I guess friends can change that. Easily. "Friends? How?" You'd ask.. well.. when you're constantly being taken advantage of it just happens. That's right. I've been taken advantage of a few times in my life.. but I don't mind. At least, I didn't mind.. until this year. This year I learnt to say, "No." Yeah, it still hurts, and it's very hard for me to say no. But I've been doing that this year. Some of my friends used to think I was easygoing.. well, I still am. Just more wary of friends, and friends' request.

Sad, eh? I pray I'll be able to go back to who I used to be.. than again, I'll prefer to become who God wants me to be.

Friends.. how many true friends are there in the world nowadays? I wonder.. I doubt I myself can be considered a true friend to others.

There's only one way to go. Jesus.

Anyway, will blog later.. I'm thinking about the topic on privacy, what we teenagers crave and seek for now.

Didn't go to school...

Yeah yeah, I was supposed to go. Told everyone I was going too. Hahaha. Woke up at 6am this morning. Brush my teeth. Decided I was too tired to go to school.. so I went back to bed. Hahaha! Forgive me lah.. I wanted to visit Sunway University College today.. but sleep won over my desire to visit that college. Hehehe.

Nevermind. I will sleep early tonight and go for the visit to The One Academy tomorrow. Actually I don't want to go for that.. but since it's the last day of school for the year 2005.. I may as well go. =D

I woke up at 1pm. Well, I actually wanted to sleep until my system woke me up.. but the phone had to ring. Went out with my brother for lunch. Sigh. Otherwise I might even have woken up at 3, 4 pm. Never know. I was a walking zombie for a while until after lunch. Lol!

Then met CP at the Kelana Jaya station. We wanted to take the bus to 1 Utama. We met there at 2.30pm.. only to find out that the bus driver has a break from 2.30-3pm. Which means the bus was supposed to arrive at 3pm.. or 3.30pm. We weren't sure at all! Didn't understand the schedule. Lol. So we assumed it was 3.20pm.. and walked around first lah. Until about 3.30pm. Then went back to wait for the bus.

And we waited.

And waited.

And waited.

Until 4.10pm. Decided to see if my mum was home by then already to fetch us to 1Utama. After the phone call the bus arrived! Hahaha. Called my mum again, told her no need to fetch us.

We went on the bus.. I expected it to have the advertisement: 'Free Bus to 1 Utama!' all over it like I usually see.. but the bus only had a small sign on top that said something about 1 Utama. Man...

We concluded that we had missed an earlier bus.. we were looking for a big big sign.. not small small sign on the bus. Lol.

The bus waited around until about 4.30pm. Then it went off...

We reached 1 U at about 5pm. Went to the gym. Did some of the body building machines. Hehe. Gotta strengthen my muscles, especially my shoulders =P. Then went on some cardio machines... Had a great time. =P

Bathed there at about 7pm. Called parents, sent CP home, and ate dinner.

Yep. Busy busy day. Late start though. I haven't even been awake for 8 hours and I'm expecting to sleep soon??!

Today...

Program EMAS... hehe. How did it go?

Fun! =D Does that answer your question, Jan? =) Although my group (Pink Chickens! =P) didn't manage to find all the clues.. Was quite challenging compared to the other groups.. hehe. Oh well, they learnt new words, and that's the aim of this programme, right? Posteriors, climate.. some of them don't speak English as their 1st language you see. And many found out that 'West' is left, and not right. =D

Kangaroo words.. wow they are creative man. They just wrote down whatever came to their heads, and I had to refer to the dictionary for a couple of words.. some had meanings, some didn't. So yeah, I learnt a few new words too. =)

Overall, I had fun. At the end of it had to walk home in the rain though. Lol! Lately rainy season lah.. at least last few days of school.. no need to walk in the rain anymore. =D But actually, it's kinda fun. Provided you are heading home from school, and not from home to school. Lol! Ain't nice reaching school all wet.

During training today, got the back of my head smashed. I don't get it with my head and smashes lately. Lol! The rainy season hasn't been good for my shoulder too.. when it rains the bone feels kind of cold, and it feels looser than usual. When I move it you can feel the 'grinding'. Hahaha. Oh well. I was just more careful today, smashed with my wrist only. I don't need a dislocated shoulder to start off my holidays, thank you very much.

Lately physical training hasn't been so heavy.. I wonder what's up with my coach. No! Don't get me wrong, I'm loving it the way it is! But I'm just afraid that he'll spring a bomb on us one day.. hahaha. He's done that plenty.

Jan, I'm not dangerous. I can't help people smashing my head! =P

Yesterday..

Been busy in school lately. Have to help out for the 'Program EMAS' English activity. Quite exciting though. I daresay I won't mind being the one who plays the games instead of preparing them. Hehe. Skipped the school trip to Taylors College today to stay back and plan the English stuff. Only about 8 of us stayed back to help.. apparently EVERYONE else who were present went. Form 3s, of course. Wow. Lol.

Badminton training yesterday was great! Although.. I got smashed on my forehead. Thank God it wasn't my eye again though. =D How did it happen? I was stroking half-court with a friend.. then I expected her to drop.. so I waited at the front.. and leaped when she hit the shuttle.. hoping it would be a high drop you see. *Yes, I was monkeying around* Lol! How was I to know that she would SMASH?? I fell backwards on my back immediately.. only to hear the laughter of others. Seems it looked like I was playing sepak takraw. Hahaha! Well.. a few training sessions back I got smashed too.. but this was purely not my fault. I wasn't even in the court. Don't ask me how come my coach hit my head.. accident or not I don't know. Lol. But mind you, it wasn't a soft smash. ;-)

Did defense yesterday. Fun man. Lol! My coach fired away like a machine and I just defended. Was satisfying to hear the sound of shuttle hitting the racquet face so fast. Lol!

Gym today was great.. had 2 free sessions with the trainers.. good thing I got a nice trainer.. hehe. Friendly guy. My 2 sessions with him are up anyway, and I don't need to hire one.. I'll rather work on my own. I'm 100% sure I'll improve a lot if I continue going to this gym. Awesome facilities. Hehe. CP doesn't like the air-con, but I do. =P Hehe. I live in Malaysia.. apasal I want to perspire so much for? Already sweat about 12 hours a day.. let the other 12 hours be sweat-free lah.. Can bath there.. I love it cause don't have to go home and bath.. hehe. Once I reach home I tend to linger and dilly-dally before bathing.. lol.

Tact, Fruits of the Spirits.. and more.

These few topics have been on my mind lately.

Tact. What is tact? According to yourdictionary.com, the word 'tact' means: Acute sensitivity to what is proper and appropriate in dealing with others, including the ability to speak or act without offending.

Great, so we all know what that word means now, don't we? How to talk to others without hurting/insulting them. Afterall, the Bible says that a harsh word stirs strife, am I right?

I'm not exactly tactful sometimes, but I do try my best. Of course, I'm very sarcastic.. and sometimes people can't tell that I am being sarcastic. Lol!

Fruits of the Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control. Yep, most of these are part of a tactful person. So we all ought to try and add these fruits into our lives. I assure you life will be much happier, there will be less sadness when you do. :-)

Complaining, whining, fussing, pickiness... now these atittudes I really really dislike. Mind you, I don't dislike the person, I dislike the atittude. I've always felt, when you can change something that you complain about, change it, DON'T complain! When you CANNOT change it, get used to it and learn to enjoy it! God made us special, he made us able to adapt to everything. Most animals are found only in certain parts of the world. So tell me, why are humans found EVERYWHERE? Mountains, Jungles, freezing climates, deserts, you name it.

Let me tell you why. Because God made us SPECIAL. We are wonderfully made! =) We can adapt to practically anything! Too hot? Perspire! Too cold? Make coats! Need a home? Make one! How many animals have hands and legs like us, that allow us to perform such delicate tasks? Maybe a few. How many have the brains like us? None. Why? God made US to rule over the plants and animals!

So quit whining, complaining, and start acting! Be pro-active, do not AVOID a problem, face it. Got a problem with yourself? Face it. Solve it. Got a problem with something? Pray, try and overcome it. All things are possible with God, Amen? Cannot overcome that problem? Live with it, learn to be happy with it.

To be more profound, think of life. Some of us are happy and joyful because we have God with us. *okay, so??* The devil is attempting to separate us from God, but does the devil bother us? If we were to allow the devil to rule our lives, the devil has already won, has he not?

So in another way, do not let the smaller things of life affect us. You can't hate school because of 1 teacher, can you? You can't hate friends because 1 friend betrayed you, can you? Don't you get it?? When someone succeeds in pulling you down, that person has already won! You have lost your battle, your happiness, your everything!

God bless

Clearing up

Clearing up my 'online life' now. Lol. Deleting groups/forums/emails addresses/email messsages/PMs in forums.. never did such a massive one before. As a matter of fact, never did any clean up before. Lol. Everything just accumulated and well.. there is a time to get rid of all the nonsense, right?

Yahoo! Groups- I was part of many weird groups. {People just invited me here and there, so I joined. Some joined in order to complete school projects (sucked them dry *kekeke*) I don't know why I even chose to keep active in some groups.. some required a post every 2-3 months, so I usually dropped by to ramble a bit and left. I find it hard to let things go.. =P I keep all my cards, letters, photos etc.. so I'm a little weird. Haha. But just had to clear up lah.. can't late it collect until I'm 20 years old then only start to clean up right.

Forums- Also part of many funny forums. I usually just join forums when I happen to stumble on them, don't make it such a big deal.. then post a message here and there, make some friends, then abandon them when I leave the forum. Haha! But had to delete my id from several forums lah.

Emails.. I've been making many new emails lately just for the fun of it.. but I have too many addresses now. Hahaha! badmintongirl@gmail.com.. I created that particular email to get more gmail invites last time.. when gmail had to policy oh giving only 5 email invites per person..

Oh but there is a nice site for emails: www.jesuslives.com.. you get an email with yourname@Jesuslives.com

Nice eh?

Email messages.. now this was the messiest of all. Had to read through every single email to ensure I didn't want that email.. sad to say, I didn't want to delete many email messages.. too precious. *You're holding on again!*

Oh well. Had to clear up my PM boxes, particularly in badminton forum. Lol.

Clean up day!

Well...

Went to the Palm Oil Estate today somewhere in Sungai Buloh. Hehe. Was interesting, I know how a palm oil seed looks like.. but to see all the trees planted like that.. majestic. Lol. As usual, clever me forgot to bring my camera. AGAIN.

Say, yesterday a piece of glass was extracted from the bottom of my foot. Lol! About last week or so I kinda suspected I stepped on glass and it was in my leg.. parents dug around with a needle, but didn't see anything. So.. well, I just left it. I mean, it was painful sometimes but I thought it was just a normal wound...

Then yesterday at the hot water spring it opened up again. I knew the glass had to be inside then because if it wasn't, how come it opened up again??

Well.. at 11 something last night.. wow. Hahaha. My parents used a needle, a pair of pincers and a super bright torchlight. They saw the glass this time.. reflected the bright light. But seemingly it was embedded in my foot.. what do you expect, the skin prolly grew over it after that 1 week! Hahaha.

Well... they had to dig past the epidermis.. it wasn't painful, this stage that is. Trust me, your soles are super tough. ;-)

Then they finally reached the glass.. but couldn't get it out, was embedded, as I said earlier. My dad decided to try some totally unprofessional.. he used a vacuum cleaner in an attempt to get it out! LOL. I had to start laughing then. HAHAHAHA. Mind you, I was super tensed up, cause I know that the pain will be very sharp and unexpected. If it was painful all the time you can relax.. but when you know that the pain will suddenly come.. well, you'll be tensed. I was afraid I'd kick their faces. Lol! Besides, there's a NEEDLE IN YOUR FOOT!

Anyway.. I could finally tell when the needle reached the glass.. the pain was sharp, but bearable. They attempted to dig it out.. it was a tense agonising 10 minutes. I had images of sitting on the operation table with the doctor about to extract it out.. maybe thats why I kept still and didn't lose my head. Lol. I don't exactly like doctors you know.. don't know why, but I don't. I usually refuse to take medication if something is wrong with me.. I read somewhere that Panadol can destroy your kidneys.. hahaha I stopped taking panadols since then. Lol!

Well, it was finally out, and I could finally walk peacefully without that sharp pain in me. Can you imagine, I explored a cave with a glass in my foot? HAhaha! And for a whole week it was in me.. it was a considerably big piece.. a bit of my blood was dried on it. hahahaha!

Smashing Awesome Wonderful Fantastic WOW!

Had to post this. Just HAD to. Only 1 word to describe today: AWESOME!

Wow. My school organised a trip to Kellie's Castle, Gua Tempurung and some hot water spring in Kampar, Ipoh, Perak... something like that lah.

Kellie's Castle wasn't too bad.. would have been one beautiful castle had Kellie completed it before dying of pneumonia. Just increased my phobia of heights drastically. Lol. He died before completing the railings for the 6th floor!! I just sat down when I was on the 6th floor, open air. Didn't dare stand. Lol.

Anyway, that is well.. not very important. I've got to tell about Gua Tempurung. My family wasn't impressed with what I told them so.. I've got to tell SOMEONE.. my bloggy! =P

First off, we took the 'medium' package... labelled exciting and slightly strenous. Easiest one was 40 minutes. Ours took 1 hour 45 minutes.

First we entered on man-made platform to walk around.. that was interesting already. The guide showed us the walls of the cave.. I'm still puzzled over it actually. There were shapes of all kinds and animals and creatures! I don't know.. how did it get there?? Gold fish, cat, chicken feet, horse, jellyfish, human faces.. George W. Bush(Yes, =P), Osama.. okay fine, the last 2 were probably created by the tour guides. Lol! We climbed 680 stairs. The view from the top was fantastic. Then we began the boring journey downwards... 680 steps. Then came the exciting part.. we started entering the real cave, away from man-made lights and stairs and platforms.

To start it off, we had to slide down a 'stone wall/slide'. The guide showed us how to do it, using our hands to break at appropriate places. Then he asked for 2 guys to come down to assist the rest. These guys had to catch our feet before we landed.

Somehow I was the 1st person to go down after those 2 guys went. Some of my friends were like, "Go Joanne!" Well I wanted to do it anyway.. so I went down. I nearly didn't stop halfway down(supposed to), went down a bit too fast I think. My leg braked for me though, banged against one rougher stone and stop. I heard people behind me exclaiming, "Whoa!" Let me assure you I was slightly glad I was still alive ;-). Then I went down.. this was the steep part. Apparently my legs weren't straight, and they had no idea how to catch anyone, I was the guinea pig, remember? Well I fell down on to my hands when I landed, they caught my knees instead of my feet. Lol! People were even more, "WAH!" Okay, at this point I was glad to really be alive and well. Hahaha!

Then after waiting for 40 people to come down.. some were terrified, had to coax them down. I'm pretty sure this experience will improve many people's self-confidence. We worked as a team, coax those people afraid and generally felt we achieved something each time we past each obstacle.

We went down a 'hole' in the cave next.. the man assured us that even the fattest of us could get through it, no worry. It was narrow though. This part we had to trust people to carry us as our feet left the cave, dangling with our hands. Two guys took our feet and set us down. Not that low down though, about 4 feet down. or 3?

Then we had to go down some marble(yes, it was marble, I love it hehe) natural steps and step straight into.. water! =D

After waiting for 40 people to get down, again some were afraid of getting through the hole, we finally went on. The water was ankle high, sometimes deeper sometimes shallower. But generally about 1 feet to 1 1/2 feet. Dry season mah. The guy told us that during the wet season the cave would be filled up to the top.. *shudders*

Beginning was just walking.. then some parts we had to stoop, and later on some we had to crawl. Fortunately I'm short so I duck walked all the way. Hahaha. Badminton training is good for that! I wanted my hands free to hold my torchlight so I preferred duck walking.. hehe. One point had to lay flat to get through though. That happened only twice I think.

Well, I really enjoyed the crawling parts. Truthfully, I think I'm a nature lover. Lol. I remember enjoying the beautiful scenery at Kuantan beach.. I found myself marveling and enjoying myself in this cave.. hehe.

Then one point our guide called us all to sit down.. and turn off all our flashlights. Wow. That was really darkness. DARK. Even when we sleep at night it isn't dark.. there are lights here and there. In that cave we really couldn't see anything! Our eyes can't even 'adjust' to the darkness. I liked that experience though. Lets be honest, how many of us(apart from the blind) actually know what real darkness is? I was kinda disappointed when the flash lights were turned on again. Some people couldn't stand it, kept switching on their flashlights.

Then we went through somemore crawling places. Quite a number. Hehe. While waiting for others to crawl through a particularly long 'tunnel', I looked around the cave. I was one of the 1st mah, I followed the guide very closely to hear what he had to say. If the group had not been so big I daresay I would have asked him a number of questions. There were holes and and there, perfect round holes, some even in 1 straight line that puzzled me. There was marble mixed with granite all over. I wondered how beautiful the cave would be should the marble be polished. I think that was the original form when God created it. Wow. Shiny. Beautiful.

Anyway, after a few more crawling and stooping tunnels, the guide told me just to continue walking straight on. Somehow I was the first there. I took this opportunity to start leading the 'pack', musing to myself what would happen should I lead them wrongly. Lol. The way out was sooo far I thought I missed it at first. Lol. I just kept trudging on and on, went in semi circles just following the river. Or rather walking IN the river. This was fun.. I mean, finding my way around without the guide. He walked like he knew what it was all about.. but as for me it was a totally new experience, and I had to use my flashlight to ensure I was going correctly and not a dead end.

Well, finally we reached the platform and steps area, with lights. But I walked and walked and walked, and wondered if we were supposed to climb up the platform as the river seemed to be leading us nowhere! It even went 1 semi circle and I thought we'd be going in circles. Lol. Anyway, finally we literally saw the literal meaning of the proverb "there's a light at the end of every tunnel". There in the open air we sat down and washed our shoes and soaked ourselves etc while waiting for the rest to come.

And that was the end of my caving experience.. I'm determine to go on the hardest course the next time, supposedly takes 3 1/2 hours. Labelled 'Extremely exciting and strenous". Yep yep yep. Today's one was.. well, very exciting, but I feel could have been way more exciting. Hehe. I mean, it's not like I'm tired now after it all, and my body isn't aching, if anything my adrenaline went up up up due to the excitement!

After we changed we went to some Hot Spring in Ipoh.. that was also a new experience for me, I dipped my hands in the higher temperature water.. the normal pool for people to enjoy was kinda boring.. my room heater's temperature only mah. Infact, I nearly burned my left hand when I put it in one hot water springs. Lol. One pool even had a sulphur rock in it, coming out boiling water at 101 degrees celsius. I dipped my hand in the 40-50 degrees celsius pool.. and noticed some interesting 'texture' at the bottom of the pool. So I decided to dip further and touch it.. how was I supposed to know that it was some kind of special algae? It looked so beautiful and it looked like rock! I got a shock and jerked my hand out of the water immediately. Lol!

Before we left we went to the natural sauna that they built on top of a steaming hot water spring 'river'. There was plenty of steam but it wasn't that hot. Probably the normal air temperature cooled it down.

And finally.. we left. Arrived in school at 8.20pm.

Many friends complained of aching legs after the caving.. guess I don't train 3 times a week for nothing. My legs are rearing to go for to the Palm Oil Estate tomorrow. Hehehe.

Yes, I had a wonderful time. Who's willing to bring me to Gua Tempurung again for the best course this time? =D

Of course, when I reached home I had some bad news.. well, it wasn't exactly bad. I failed my music practical grade 6. Lol! I expected that already.. how can you NOT expect that when the examiner says, "Let's not waste time!"? HAHAHA! According to her those who got the lady examiner fared miserable, quite a number failed. Those who got the man passed with flying colours! Not that I wouldn't have failed under the man examiner.. but hey, men are so much nicer. Men examiners, that is.

Worse thing is, my teacher wants me to RESIT for grade 6!!! No WAY! Uh Uh! NEVER! Just want to get done with it and throw it faaaar away out of my window!

Oh well. Don't know what to do next. Gotta seek advice.

THANKS GOD FOR MAKING SUCH MAGNIFICENT CAVES! MORE IMPORTANTLY, THANKS FOR GIVING ME THIS ADVENTUROUS SPIRIT SO THAT I ENJOYED TODAY SOOO MUCH! =)

Those people who are afraid to try new things, afraid of roller coasters, jungle tracking, cave exploring etc. don't know what they miss out...

God bless

PMR's over..

Okay, let me give a subject-by-subject opinion of the papers.

BM- Done in the previous post.

Science- Way too easy. Label solid, liquid and gas? I could have done that in KINDERGARTEN! Match the uses of plant cells? Please... Have mercy on us.. the future PMR takers are going to look at it and laugh at us!

Math- Paper 1 was easy, Paper 2 was tough. Paper 2 even came out a trigonometry question that was out of syllabus. Seemingly we will only learn that next year. And.. they seemed to attack my weakest point in Math.. Algebra! Factorization, Algebra, Simplify.. what's the difference? All are greek to me.. the parts I could do easily didn't come out! Measure volume of this and that... arrgh. Can memorise that mah.. Algebra cannot memorise.. have to understand.. which is precisely what I can't do and won't do. Didn't come out everything we learn the past 3 years, just emphasised on certain topics.

English- Paper 1 was peanuts, all correct. Paper 2 was easy too, not too much of a challenge, if any.

History- Easier than I expected. As a matter of fact, I enjoyed answering the questions. Lol. I mean, here was a paper that I kinda enjoy learning.. choosing between the multiple answers was really enjoyable. If I was sure of the answer, that is. Lol.

Living Skills- 2nd last paper. I was a bit angry because they only asked us on sewing and food. Just because we learn ERT! What happened to the teras part?? Pipes, Woodwork, Electric, Electronic stuff?? Arrgh. My sewing ain't that fantastic either... jahitan sembat, sembat susup, kelepet, lapik etc etc.. Never understood. Perhaps if it was in English.. but in Malay nope, I just don't understand it. Sheesh. I'm frustrated. They only asked about 1/2(1/3?) of what we learn, concentrated so much on sewing and food! May I mention, my 2 least favourite topics cause I don't know what it's all about. Oh well.

Geography- the last paper. Hehehe. Glad they ended it with one of my better-liked subjects. Lol. Quite easy lah, but I daresay it won't be as easy for those who don't know the minor details. I mean, how many people remember that for every 165m higher the temperature drops by 1 degree? I didn't even study that, just remember learning it for one of my previous exams. Phew. Hutan taiga? Kabut? Conifer forest.. smog.. I found out AFTER my exam. Lol. I got about 3-4 wrong for it, my greatest achievement in any important exam. I think. Hehe.

After that CP and I walked to MCD's in SS2 to eat and lepak. Wow. Spent about 2 hours in SS2. Lol. Including the time to walk there and home of course. Went to a few shops.. CP showed me the Lo Hong Ka shop.. the one with the "fat & rude" man. =P

Lol. Had to leave for home at about 1.40pm.. walking back took about 30 minutes. Played badminton at 3pm. Till 5.30pm in Megah. After 2 weeks my strokes felt awkward, and my footwork was kinda gone. Sigh. Oh well.

Overall, I don't exactly feel stress-free after PMR.. was I even stressed? I don't know. I just feel free to do more things. =D No need to worry about hitting the books for a while! Though I may just start on next year's subjects.. it'll be a change from my current subjects. Hehe. =P No, I'm not mad.

2 days down, 2 more to go

Hope I didn't mess my BM paper 2 up. Specifically, the C part worth 40 marks(In other words, my A!)

Well, the important thing is I did my best, and left the rest to Him. =) His will, not mine. If He wishes for me to miss the A for any subject(maybe even English), so be it. Whatever happens, there are lessons to be learnt. All the time.

Number 1. Start studying everyday next year. Yes, I'm serious. Maybe not. Lol.

Yesterday was BM 1 and BM 2. Kinda stressful, was hard. But nonetheless I tried my best.

Today English 1 and English 2, Science 1 and Science 2. English 1 was easy.. think I can get full marks for it. Paper 2 was easy too, except I wasn't sure of the format. The question put REPORT to the English Language NEWSLETTER. I wrote it as a news report. For all I know it may be asking me to write as the secretary of the English Language Newsletter, but I highly doubt that.

Besides, the format is worth only a few (if any) marks. I figure I wrote normal, although the topic wasn't particularly interesting. About your school's national day celebration. Bleh. I did fool around a bit, adding things that should not be seen in a news report, and added a few weird words with ' ' Lol! 'Sumazau' dance and 'Mangalai' dance. Kekekeke.

Oh well. Can afford to fool around a bit I guess, finished with 25 minutes to spare. Meaning I took 1 hour and 5 minutes to write a 1 1/2 page essay, a short summary and some literature component stuff.

Science was much much much easier than expected. We as the pioneer batch of Science and Math in English have it easy I guess. My Science Paper 1 was easy.. I think at the most 1 wrong. Paper 2 was also quite easy, just didn't know how to answer 1 particular question, probably lost about 5 marks there already. Still, I think I've got a very good chance to get an A.

Tomorrow Puasa, so my Math and History papers are on Thursday. Eeks. Hope Math is just as easy as Science. I can't take it much harder.

And finally, Living Skills and Geography. One of my 2 favourite subjects I guess, apart from English.

Anyway, just want to thank each and every one of you who wished me all the best, and thanks for keeping me in your prayers too. I was surprised to see the number of short messages I received on Sunday, the day before PMR started. I really appreciate it, and thanks too to those who called me up to wish me all the best. Also, those who wished me personally in school too. =D I went in to the hall yesterday and today keeping your blessings in my mind. =)

Lol. I better start studying. Woke up at 6.30am. Ate rice + curry chicken at 6.35am. Lol! Record man never eaten such a big breakfast at that hour before.

Not happy with my prefect necktie knot.. so I searched how to tie one.. all you Seaparkians you always use me to tie your neckties on Monday, visit this site: http://www.mckinnonsc.vic.edu.au/school/ties/ties.htm

Perhaps it'll teach you people to tie your own school ties, or at least make a decent attempt before turning to us prefects. =P

Tried to find an online machine that can count days between 2 dates, but didn't manage to. Will try again later. I got this crazy impulse to count down the days to SPM 2007. Lol! Ah well, that's next year.

Next year no more fooling around already.. SPM is the real thing. But then again, that's Joanne talking. Knowing myself I'll fool around until just before exams.

Will be worse still in Form 6 though. Some form sixers told me that they have to study all year round, or else cannot make it. Studying last minute for STPM is really asking for the impossible if you want to finish the syllabus I think.

*Braces herself to face the dreary life of studying everyday*

Then again, I guess life is easier when you do that. Study just a while everyday, when exam comes no need to go crazy, sleeping at 2am and waking up at 5am.

Okay.. so I posted a bit of nonsense... Hehehe.

PMR 3 days away

So who's worried? I've been quite relaxed. Lol. A bit too late to panic anyway.

It's a funny world isn't it? When you attempt to do good people see you as weird, odd, goody 2 shoes, afraid, coward etc.

Makes me wonder. Is good really that extinct from this evil world that 'right' things are weird, cowardly, and stupid???

I don't know. You tell me. But one thing I do know, if that's the life I have to lead to meet my saviour and to be more like Him, I'll go through it. None of the followers of Christ in the Bible lead easy lives, right?

Wisdom of this world is foolishness to God..

Conflict. Major one.

Arrgh. Posted such a super long long long post and it's all GONE!

No mood.

Just gonna say that I got my straight As, and am facing conflict now. No idea which stream is best for me. Will blog later. Need to regain my brain power.

Hmm..

I messed up my BM paper, big time. Arrgh. Just when I NEEDED the 7th A to make it straight A's too!

I keep telling myself it's only trials.. better learn now then during PMR.. still.. sigh. Arrgh.

Feeling.. slightly down. Just ONE more A, BM is supposedly one of my strongest subject too. This is what happens when the FORMAT changes, and seemingly takes over the importance of the LANGUAGE itself. Sigh. Get the format right in the question, and you've got an A. Mess up the format and.. sigh. Wish the language was emphasised on. Then again, I suppose those who are more hardworking benefit from the emphasise on the format rather than the language.

Yeah.. I thought I'm hardworking. Lol. Until I found so many others really really working. But then again, these top students only concentrate on studies, and nothing else.

Eeks. Got to work harder than ever next year. I really can't quit badminton..

Oh well. Honestly, I entered form 3 this year with only 1 goal(academically of course): Straight A's. I don't care about the percentage. My friends have their logic, that is to work harder for subjects that are easier to score to pull up their average. For me, I just aim for straight A's. My logic is, in PMR I would rather get an average A in all then high in some and others risking a B.

Harder still in form 5 though, have to aim for straight A1s.

Well, my decision to enter Arts is nearly confirmed... 95% already. I suppose it'll be 100% when I ask to enter the Arts stream.

Looking forward to studying subjects I enjoy though. =D In Pure Science I'll be facing Math and Science EVERY SINGLE DAY. NO WAY!!! Hahaha. Let's be honest, I prefer to be ignorant of many facts, particularly in Science. Once I can explain this phenomena and that.. I've a feeling I just might start to question how God came to be. But.. *wham!* you'll never find out..

And Math? Blah. I don't need half of what I'm learning now.

People tell me I'm narrowing my choices down by entering Arts.. but I would rather get straight A1s in Arts then risk getting B3s etc. in Pure Science stream.

Besides, what I want to become(whatever it is) will never have anything to do with Science. And 100% nothing to do with Math. Eew.

I will have to face one obstacle when I enter Arts stream though: Friends. Practically all my friends are aiming to enter Pure Science, or at least Sub Science. Arts are for the supposedly 'not-so-smart' students. I don't mind being considered 'not-so-smart', but it'll be like starting afresh.. have to make new friends. Sigh. Still, I refuse to let friends be the factor of my decision.

Don't ask me why I'm working considerably hard if I'm 'just going to enter Arts stream'. Hahaha. I WANT to do well, to prove to everyone that 'not-so-stupid' people can enter Arts stream too. Hehe.

Blog more later.

Yesterday..

Was my bro's speech day..

Found out I had to go upstage with him to help him carry his 8 subject prizes! Was.. I don't know, embarrassing I guess. Lol. I mean, it's not even MY prize(s)! ack.

Anyway it was over pretty quickly..

Of course, a certain gay there kept reminding me about having to go upstage..

Anyway it all turned out well. Went online later on about 10pm. Chatted.. one friend acted super funny(or should I say typed). Bleh. Turns out he thought I was some 'arrogant young boy' until 2 hours later when he realised it was me. Lol.

Anyway, that's about it lor. I'm bored. That's why I blogged. Normally I don't blog about such small matters. Oh well. Hehehehe.

Trials Over!

Trials are over. Now we have PPD papers and a 'post-trial' exam. Lol. Next thing we'll be having 'post-PMR' exam! Hehehe.

How have I been doing? Badminton withrdawal. The last time I played badminton was last Friday!

Okay okay, so even once in two months of playing badminton is good for some people. But I can't stand it. Lol. Can't wait for PMR to be over. Will try to train everyday. Hehe. 3 weeks more!

Yay!

Training tomorrow. :)

Blog later. Coming online very rarely now. Really is a waste of time, dries and tires my eyes out, and tires me. Lol. Weird eh. Sitting in front of a computer tires me out whereas playing badminton for 3 hours gives me all the more energy. Hehe.

Haze is gone..

Okay okay, I'm sad. Haze is gone, school is on. *Sigh*

Someone gave me a rather silly site today. Lol! Must have been created by a sadist.

Tomorrow can't go for training.. tuition. Another sigh.

Can't finish Science and Math in time for gerak gempur.. another sigh.

Sad sad day.

Posting short stuff.. need to study now.

Haiz...

Haze

The haze is bad. Very very bad. API(Air Pollutant Index) for PJ was 349. And that was at 11am this morning! It's even worse now. Who knows, it may even have reached the Hazardous level(API-400 above)!

So far it hasn't affected me much. Other than the smell, I am still alive and well. We'll see how long more I'll stay well. Hehe.

School has been cancelled tomorrow.

Funny eh. Some countries get school cancelled because of snow. Kids can go out and enjoy the snow then. And school is cancelled due to haze here! And we're not allowed to go out for fear of endangering out lungs(not that it's nice to go out, we come back smelling like smokers).

Life is weird.

Stuck at home.

CHAMPION!

Well, we breezed through semi finals 15-5, 15-10, and finals we won 15-1, 15-6.

This tournament was MSSS level too... we represented Petaling, our district.

Had a great partner. Hehe.

We got a gold medal, a Dunlop Racquet bag, a Milo hamper, and a Dunlop racquet.

I didn't play to win those things though. I played to prove something to myself. I really don't know how, what, or why we did it. We thrashed supposedly 'strong' opponents. This is by far my biggest achievement, a gold medal at a MSSS level tournament.

God is great! I didn't ask to win the game.. I asked to play the game to the best of my capabilities. And my coach told me I played a great game. I really don't know how.

I'm seriously considering training everyday after PMR. *shrugs* Just want to see how far I can get.

I've been training under a new coach for 6 months now(not including March, I dislocated my shoulder then) with a new programme. Twice a week. Supposed to be 3 times, but my Wednesday is taken up by tuition. Haiz. At one point when I doubted and questioned I stopped improving. Then I decided just to follow without questioning. Yep. Been improving since then.

Well, I'll leave it to You-Know-Who =)

Really a fantastic weekend. My brother and I did it all with His guidance. =) As the saying goes, do your best and leave the rest to God.

Wow

My bro did it.

BK Quiz 2005-Champion

At NATIONAL level.

Hehehe. Wow. I told him he could do it!!!

Of ALL days to have a badminton tournament too! I would have given it up to watch it if not for letting my partner down. Arrgh.

He and his partner won by a mere mark in the tie-breaker.

Wow.

I TOLD HIM!

Lol.

Anyway I'm in semifinals tomorrow. The Mix Doubles tournament. Don't ask me how I won the quarter finals today, I'm still stunned. But we won.

Another one..

Had some surprises today. Real shockers. Won't tell you what they are though.

Life is so tiring at times.

Sometimes I just love being young.. sometimes I wish I will just grow up and forget about teenhood(childhood?)!

As you can guess, I'm feeling the latter now.

Sigh. Hate being left out. Hate being thought(or told) that I'm not mature enough. Hate being different at times. Hate being abnormal.

Hate using the word Hate.

14 years old is a really weird age I think. I mean, at 12 or 13, fine, I can still be called a kid. But at 14 you're stuck between childhood and being an 'older teen'. The younger ones look at you as the 'older' one.. the older ones look at you as the 'younger' one. Arrgh!

Sometimes I wish.....

Nah it's no use saying. Plus, I'm not too sure who reads this blog so I had better watch my mouth(or fingers?).

Life is sad when you don't fit in anywhere specific. One day I'm here, one day I'm there. In some places, I'm totally alone.

Gosh. Sad sad sad! It's 11.15pm now.

Can't even decide my future.

You know, sometimes I wish I didn't have the choice to do anything. Life is so much simpler that way, isn't it? Like the book 'The Giver'. They got rid of choices.

Yes.. can you imagine life without choice?

Life would be even worst.

~Lord, forgive me for thinking like this~

Okay, it's time to move on. Sleep this night away, get back to being happy.

Still.. I'm disappointed. Sigh. Why must I be so YOUNG/OLD?! Why can't I be 12 or 17? Why FOURTEEN??!

Oh well. I'll be 15 soon. Not that it's better than 14, but hey, it's a step closer to SOMEWHERE and not IN BETWEEN.

Off to bed.
Joanne

Sad.

Life has been getting worse lately.

Saw a flasher again last Monday. I was all alone too. Was so afraid he was a rapist.. thanks God he didn't follow me. I didn't react at all, just pretended I didn't see what he wanted me to see. I didn't know how else to react!

Just back from my piano practical exam. Was really horrible. I couldn't play the harmonic scale even though she gave me THREE!

Pieces were not too good, but would have to do. Oral went.. really really terrible. I think I answered everything wrong but the perfect/imperfect+minor/major key. My singing went.. :'(.

I don't know how strict she is. Sigh. Got another lady examiner. Sigh. Wish they had local examiners you know? I already feel so nervous before an exam, with a caucasian lady breathing down my neck + a funny accent.. I just blew it. I blew everything. Bye bye cash. Bye bye cert.

Sad..

Man, when you ask God to humble you.. it's really really tough man.

All the things seem to tumble at once.. catching me right in the middle of it.

Still, Your will be done, Lord. Change me to be like You.

I'm quite upset over some things now.. it ain't easy being moulded to become the perfect clay, the smooth pebble.

Little did I know how much impact this song would cause when I really meant it.

Make Me A Servant
Make me a servant, humble and meek

Lord, let me lift up, those who are weak.

And may the pray'r of my heart always be;

Make me a servant, make me a servant,

Make me a servant, today.

Nonetheless, my treasure lies in heaven above, and not below. On earth I've tasks to fulfill. Who cares about earthly treasures where backstabbers and jealousy can steal it all?

How athletic are you?

I'm actually utterly shocked at how accurate this test was!

The Second Stringer

You scored 73%

You are The Second Stringer. You train pretty hard sometimes. You're a
pretty good performer. You just lack the intensity and drive that would
take you to that final step. And maybe you're okay with that. Perhaps
you're cursing this test as you read this, but deep down, you know you
could be doing more, don't you? It's okay. You're welcome on my team...
Just don't be surprised to sit out every now and then.

Today in class my Science teacher brought a Van De Graaf electrostatic operator.

Hahaha! Amazing, 1 girl's long hair stood up! LOL! I could do nothing but laugh and laugh!

Anyway, I managed to get all an A for all my PMR subjects. I was hoping that I'd get 10 A's.. but I missed for Art. Arrgh. By a LARGE margin. Oh well. I got a 65%. Lol! Haven't gotten back my English paper though.

But I got an A for PJK! 78%!!! Kekekekekkeke. Really just tembak correctly. Wow!

I'm currently placed 3rd in class.. I need to beat the 2nd girl by ONE miserable mark to get 2nd in English. Lol. Hopefully I do.

Whatever I get, I just thank God. He really helped me.. Especially with some subjects. I mean, considering how last minute I was, my results are good. And when you leave things to Him, you're never disappointed. It's true! Try it =)

Funny how different people can have different opinions of a same person. If you asked my piano teacher, she's probably say I'm stupid. Lol! Sad, but true. Better to act stupid when you're not willing to work, right?

And as for people who know my brother and I.. they obviously think I'm stupid. Lol. Another sad, but true fact. Shucks, what can I do? Compare mah.. I don't have medals and certs to prove anything. Of course I've badminton trophies.. but hey, who looks at 'em?! The academic medals are practically treasured, in a nice display shelf for all to see. My badminton trophies? Hahahaha. I found a couple deep in a drawer. Who looks at those?

Studies more important.. don't play badminton so much...

Sorry, I'm sick and tired of those words already. The one thing I like I can't do!

Oh well. I'm not here to whine and complain. Okay, maybe I am. But I can't help it. No one else will understand. Lol. At least my bloggy understands.

Life ain't too happifying right? It ought to be.. God's with me. Nevertheless, perhaps these things will toughen me up. Perhaps I ain't as tough as I think myself to be. Time to lower myself to the idiotic fool I am.

Went out with a couple friends with my brother today to mamak stall at 10pm. I.. don't know. I supposed I wasn't exactly a total 'stranger'.. but I didn't totally fit in either.

The rest of them knew about this and that happening.. but usual case lah.. I didn't know much, if anything at all.

It's kinda hard.. when you've members your own age, yet they aren't your friends.. and the older ones well, look at you as the 'younger one'... so basically you hardly fit in anywhere. I try to lah.. but tak jadi. Still feel out of place. I CANNOT pretend to get interested in talking about things that youth nowadays are gila over. I CANNOT adapt to their way of talking, their way of thinking and so on.

Some people say I've got an 'old soul'. Some people say I missed the train to teen years, some say I took the express train to adulthood.

Whatever it is, it's obvious that I'm different from your standard teenager. Friends say, "WHAT?! Not interested in boys yet??!"and stuff like that. Oh, by the way, I AM straight.

That's all. I'm tired. 1.03am here. Good day to you all.

I feel SICK.

Oh my goodness gracious me. EEEEWWW!!!

Why?

I drank Higher Colloids. Few of you will know what that is, even fewer would have tasted it before. It was HORRIBLE. My family has been taking it for the past 2 weeks, but I didn't want to.. so this afternoon I was bored.. guess what I did? I tasted a drop of it, and wondered why people didn't like it. It was slightly sourish.

Well, then I drank 20ml of it, as I'm supposed to. BELCH! When it reached the back of my tongue where my taste buds are more sensitive to bitter tastes.. I nearly.. VOMITED.

Trust me, it took great self-discipline to finish that 20ml.

I drank Pepsi Twist after that, ate Honey Stars, Chicken biscuit, sour stuff, and whatever else I could lay my hands on. EEEEEEWWWW!

I've a headache now, feel like vomiting.. and goodness knows what else.

EEW!

I blew it. BIG time.

Why? Because people always ask me, "Why are you so happy all the time??? Why don't you ever get angry??"

I never really thought about the answer, and usually just give the answer, "Cause that's that way I am!"

I realised the reason. God is in me, and with me all the time. With Him, I've nothing to be happy about. Shout at me, abuse me, beat me, scream at me, nothing will get me down. Call me stupid, fat, ugly, idiot, fool, I don't care.

So I realisedthat I lost many many many chances to share my reason for happiness! Souls could have been saved...

In the end, I'm just another babbling fool who knows not what she says. Why didn't I THINK before I answered those questions??

Most of the people who asked me have stopped asking already... sigh.

~I'm sorry, Lord. A 2nd chance please??~

Just had to post...

School's starting tomorrow. Sigh. Don't know why I'm not looking forward to school.. maybe because I didn't get to enjoy my holidays properly. Tournament 1st week, camp 2nd week. I enjoyed my holidays, but it was too busy to really feel like a holiday. If you get what I mean.

Just wanted to post something funny. During training my coach was telling us, "Look at where you hit the shuttle! Is it good, or bad? You have to judge for yourself!" He said the same to another girl, and followed by, "Was that good? No, it went underneathe the net, therefore it was very bad!"

LOL! Few, if any will laugh.. but I found it hilarious. LOL! In my coach's seriousness there was humour in it, perhaps he didn't realise it though.

Youth camp

Youth camp in Kuantan last Monday to Wednesday. My family stayed on till today.

How did it go?

Was great fun. Hehehe. Did a lot of travelling though. Even went to Terengganu just to eat!!! I was like, "WHAT?!" when I realised we were travelling to another state just to EAT!

Lol. Went to the waterfall, enjoyed myself. The chalet by the beach was nice too, perhaps I do enjoy nature after all. I could have just sat and watched the waves...

Played Pictionary the 2nd night, till 3am. Wow. Fun. Lol. When the guys were going back to their chalet we looked at the main road outside and saw an ambulance + many cars though. We realised that there was an accident.. and probably some people died. Why?

The ambulance was in no rush, sirens were not on, only the lights. If there was still hope of saving a life, the ambulance would have sped off. Actually we all heard loud sound a few hours earlier, but since it was raining and there was lightning, we thought it was thunder. It did sound like a crash to me, but still I pushed that thought aside and told myself, thunder.

Sad though. Don't speed in the rain!

Overall, I enjoyed myself.

I enjoyed myself the past few days during the badminton tournament.

The kids were sooooo cute!!!! =D Some of them are barely taller than the racquets they hold! LOL. I'm talking about the U-10 players, of course. Wow. I never had the chance to join a tournament when I was their age.. hehehe.

But I pity them.. at such a young age they have to find out about losing.. there can only be 1 winner after all. Hehehe.

It's Over...

Last day of tournament. So sad. Had great fun.

Anyway, singles I lost to her.. quite badly too. 2-11, 5-11. The first few points of the game were given away freely, no rallies at all. But by the 2nd game I did manage to have several long rallies. I got the service over quite a number of times, but didn't manage to score much.

Anyway, whether my standards are low or not, I'm actually quite satisfied with my match today, especially the 2nd set. The score may not show it, but it's what I know that counts, right? =P By the end of the game I was mentally exhausted. Lol. I cracked my brains to think and see how I could get points. Who ever said you don't think in badminton? Physically I was hardly tired.

I did discover my weak points, and plan to work on it as soon as I resume training.

Anyway, she turned out to be the champion of the U-15 girl singles.

I received a RSL badminton bag and trophy for runners up in U-15 girl doubles, and a semi finalist trophy + RSL shoe bag for U-15 girl singles in the winners pool. Received 2 30% off vouchers for RSL products too..except shuttlecock. Doubt I'll use it though.

There was a losers pool and a winners pool. Don't know why they had to put the word losers pool on the medals for the champs of the losers pool. Quite mean of them if you ask me.

Anyway, I've 1 1/2 years left in U-15 girls. As I walked off the stage, my coach told me, "Next time it'll be this," and he pointed at the champs trophy. Lol. Can't say anything.

How it went today...

Today CP and I won our doubles game, gonna get silver. 21-7 I think.

Singles.. I'm frustrated.

First a BYE, now a walk over????! I didn't pay RM30 bucks for this kind of play!

So without even playing a singles game, I'm entering semi finals tomorrow. Sigh.

The girl I'm playing against was supposed to be disqualified, she's actually a Selangor circuit player. This tournament doesn't allow any state player/trainee. But after some discussion they didn't disqualify her, no idea why.

I don't mind anyway. If she had been disqualified, I'd enter into the finals WITHOUT PLAYING A SINGLE GAME! No thank you. Semi finals is bad enough, what more finals?

I'm kind of worried. I need to play my best tomorrow. I don't know, it's just a gut feeling. I've got to make her pathway into finals very very tough. It doesn't really matter whether I win or lose, if I win, good, if I lose, I wanna make her tired beyond tired.

Yes! I'm gonna do it. =D I need to be confident!

Anyway, today I watched many of the matches. Those with parents.. well.. are bound to go further. Their parents are so supportive! Dads even took leave for the whole week just to come for this tournament! Some families were practically 'camping' at the hall.

Those without parents.. well.. didn't strive so well. Honestly.

My coach once said we need several things to go far. Dedication, commitment etc. I basically can have all.. but parents support. And that was the one that he put the most emphasis on. I wonder how it feels like? Parents who are willing to fetch you for tournaments, stay there from 8am to 5pm, watch you play, encourage you when you just lost your service, proud of you when you win, correcting you without making you feel like the world's lousiest player...

I guess I'll never know. Oh well.

God, show me Your plan.

Doubles today..

Lost 10-21.

The score is disappointing. Sigh. We were actually leading 10-6 or 7, then we just lost it. 2nd half of the game they just scored and scored.

We got the service many many times, but it was snatched back just as quickly.

Well.

Tomorrow going to fight for 2nd place.

And my singles.. no idea who my opponent is, but I will do my best to win. =D

Exhausted

Woke up at 6.50am. Went to Chow Ping's house after breakfast. Left her house for the tournament at 7.45am. Reached SK Taman SEA at 8am, waited for coach.

We reached the hall at about 8.40am I think. They had opening ceremony etc etc. Wasted my time.. all the speeches were in Chinese.. so guess what?

I pretended to understand. =D

Found out my doubles match was at 3.20pm. WOW. I had to hang around that hall for 6 hours doing nothing! After that, found out that my SINGLES match was a WALK OVER!

My goodness.

Plus the t-shirts they gave.. well had Chinese words. Lol.

Shucks. I'm not complaining.. much anyway.

Won the doubles game 21-2.

Time for bed. Sorry for the brief bloggy. =D Exhausted. Reached home at 8pm. I spent 12 1/2 hours nearly standing up all the time.

Enjoyable. =)

Oh for the want of a treadmill..

Sigh. I went jogging today. Really disappointing. Jogged for 20 minutes only. Why?

The dogs were all around, one started to follow me. I'm terrified of dogs.. so many have chased me. Sigh. I wasn't even breathing hard and I had to stop jogging!!!

At this rate my stamina will never improve. I am so angry. I wasted 20 minutes. Just when I was barely warmed up I had to stop.

I wish I had a treadmill. Why can't I have one???! I'm so angry I could-nevermind what I could say or do. I'd regret it.

Forget it lah. My badminton game will never improve. I'm stuck at my level.

Wish I had to freedom to buy a treadmill.

PS. I'll blog later on when I've cooled down. My monitor is acting weird.. changed to red colour.

Who Am I?

Yes, that is my question. How much do I know about myself? Let's start..

Well, I'm not really the kind to talk a lot. More towards the quiet side. Of course, close friends think differently.. but without close friends I'm pretty much quiet. I really don't enjoy attracting attention to myself. Those people who shout a lot, and talk loudly.. are well, pretty much attention-attracters. Nothing wrong with that, just saying that's not part of me. I do talk a lot sometimes though.. mostly when I'm extra-happy over something.

I'm different. I really don't enjoy shopping, wastes time and cash. Movies? I rarely watch the TV, much less movies. Cinema movies.. once or twice a year, and that too was a change.. since I've entered secondary school I seem to wach more movies in cinemas. In primary school it was practically.. once in 3 years? I can NAME you the movies that I've watched in cinemas before, that's how few I've watched. Godzilla, Mulan, Gladiator, Lord of the Rings(Forgot, either 1 or 2), Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Million Dollar Baby(most recent) and one more movie(forgot the title) that I watched in Penang when I was bored. That's about it.

I don't own any skirts/dresses, only my prefect skirt. I detest make up and nail polish. No, I'm not a tomboy(at least, I think not). I used to climb trees when I was young though. Really fun. =) Once I fell off a tree branch though, it was really too thin to support my weight, but I wanted the pretty flower at the end of it... let's just say I learned my lesson about climbing too thin branches. ;-)

No, I'm not proud to be different. Sometimes life would be better if I just tried to fit in with others. But I can't. I tried before. I find myself disgusted by some things.

I used to be an expert in climbing monkey bars. Hehe. In kindergarten, my teacher was utterly shocked when my hands just grabbed hold of the next bar, and next and next. I reached the other end in no time. That was the past. Now, I can barely complete monkey bars.. but still better than some who can't even go through it halfway. Now I'm heavier, slower but wiser. I think. LoL!

I walk home from school everyday. Actually, I take the LRT.. but seeing I'm on the LRT for 2 minutes, and walk the other 23 minutes.. I call it walking home. Yes, I suppose I can try to pay a transporter to send me home.. but I really don't like to be soo.. rigid. With transporters I'll have to wait for them to come at a fixed time.. or rush to ensure they do not leave without me. With my own two legs, I'm free to come and go as I wish.

Some people live by routines. Breakfast at 6.30am sharp. Lunch at 1.30pm sharp. Dinner at 6.30pm sharp. Not me. I don't even eat breakfast. My lunch.. well.. if I'm hardworking, I suppose I can have a fixed time for lunch. But.. I'm a bit lazy to find my own food at times. hehehe. I don't have a maid that will have lunch ready and cooked on the table by the time I reach home, unlike some really fortunate people out there. Or are they fortunate? Once they reach the working life.. well, I doubt they'll find things so easy.

Studies. Some people study everyday. Once a friend did a survey for the NIE project, asking everyone how much they study a week. Sad to say, I had to answer 0 hours a week. I was shocked, some people actually put 12 hours a week! Even 2 hours a week is a lot.. what more 12. I study 1 or 2 weeks before exam. Other times.. well. Actually, if you pay attention during class, you can pretty much answer the questions in exams. It's true. Teachers tend to set what they teach.

Oh yes. I managed to get 6 As so far. 77% for History, 83% for Geography, 88% for Living Skills, 81% for Math, 84% for Science, and 85% for Moral. Moral.. lol. I actually got 89% for it.. but teacher miscalculated. I HAD to tell her, otherwise I'd feel guilty about it. Honestly. Some people called me stupid for doing that. But I don't care. It's my choice, my marks, my guilty consciousness. I was afraid I might regret telling, but I find that I don't mind. Rather, I'm glad I did it.

I barely scraped through this exam term. Still, thank God for my results. Ain't that high, but considering how last minute I was, I'm really happy with my results.

Exhausted. Time for bed. God bless ya all.

Arrgh

Been having stomach problems after the Prefects' pot luck this morning. Prolly too much food =P.

Woke up at 8am this morning. Mum bought the mee for the pot luck. What happened at the pot luck?

Firstly, the attendance was very very disappointing. About half the prefectorial board were absent. I've no doubt some of them will come up with creative lies that will get them off scot free.

So.. we had too much food, too few prefects. Lol. And the Ms. Woo, the camp facilitator was hospitalised.. so the Excos had to come up with something, and quick.

They did a pretty good job though. The games were fun. And the food? I don't know about others, but I enjoyed the food. Hehehe. Think I over ate though, I had stomach aches when I reached home. Lol.

At the end of it, cleared up, cleaned the toilet, and walked home at 1.45pm. Reached home at 2.20pm. Was pretty tired. Yesterday I did more than usual walking, so naturally I'm tired today.

Left for youth at 2.50pm. I was really tired, and had stomach aches every now and then. Lol. I'm used to this life by now. So far.. I'm surviving. With my lack of sleep and activities.. I wonder how long more I can go on like this..

Shared on John 15. Can't say it went well. I really didn't know what to say. I couldn't seem to get the 'revelation'. Or perhaps I was too afraid to speak my mind out. Perhaps I felt intimidated by some of them. IMO, I don't fit in too well with my youth group. I don't know why. The ones my age are too quiet. The older ones.. well, they group together. Can't blame them though, who wants to mix with younger kids? Anyway, none of them read my bloggy so it's safe to post this. =P

Actually, I don't mix well with older people, eg. my seniors. I'm really not the kind to be friendly, "Hi hi etc" to my seniors. Firstly, I feel like I'm budging in. The seniors that I know well, although few, but I know them well.. are because THEY took the initiative to talk to me first.

Some people enjoy 'sucking up' to their seniors. Not me. I've always disliked that kind of atittude. They think it's 'cool' to have senior friends, and they can boast to their friends.

Sadly, some seniors eat this all up. They enjoy it. I never did, and never will. As I'm pretty much the quiet kind(and most of us get nowhere because we aren't friendly), I try my best to raise up the quiet ones. Basically I'm referring to the prefect board last year. Unfortunately, the others liked the ones that talked a lot, and were their friends. The quiet ones, who in my opinion did their duties better than those who had to concentrate on talking and doing duty, were put aside.

What can I say? That's life. A vicious cycle.

Slept 3 hours this afternoon/evening. Tumbled straight into bed after youth group. I was exhausted. Woke up only to accompany my mum for dinner.. otherwise I'll probably still be sleeping now.

Arrgh. Having a stomach ache.

God bless

Woke up at 12.30pm today. Very early right. =P

Went for training at 3pm. Quite okay ler, played matches for the upcoming tournament. Did some drills.

Physical was okay, not that much of a killer. Still exhausting though. Hehehehe.

Came home.. showered.. had dinner.. came online...

Then studied a while. For what you wonder?

Well, I read the form 1 literature stories. Not studying of course, reading stories can't be considered studying. =P

PE. Yucks. I like PE, but the theory part of it.. if it were all about badminton I won't mind so much. But it was pretty much about everything.. kinda boring. And in BM I can't understand all terms they use.

What to do? Hantam lah esok. What else can I do? =P So much for trying to make my PE teacher happy. Who knows, I MAY get an A after all.. last year 1st term I got a borderline A in PE.. my guessing skill not bad wan lah. =D

God bless
