Happy Friday,

Today finds me travelling down to London for the Crafting at Ally Pally show which is one of my favourite venues and shows of the year.  This is the only show where Sue Wilson, Julia Watts, Phill Martin, Lisa Horton and I demo all ate the same time so a great one for all Creative Expressions and Sue Wilson fans!

I thought I would share a card I made especially for todays vintage with the New Zealand background die I also used a good cross section of the finishing touches.

I stared by cutting the larger detail background die from a piece of my Spring collection paper pad ( from last spring) I then added the centre detail die cut in coconut white foam mounted in the centre and studded in stick on pearls.

Next I made up the card as shown with a frame of Brunswick green and coconut white foundation card with layers of the two colours added.  I then cut the foliage form the starflower die in the green worth faux quilled blooms cut in white and shaded with frosted jade colour cloud blending ink.  I added these with a spray of pearls and finished with tag shaded and stamped with a sentiment form my new Michaelmas daisy clear stamp set ( more details pin that tomorrow)

Review of the year 3...

Today I share the third part of my review of the year where I pick some of my favourite creations of 2016!  WE reach summer today with July, August and September First off with July.  I had to choose the section of project I made using my newly launched festive range featuring my Christmas Shades paper pad and stamps.

Now over to August and how a bout a little drama!  I simply love this card and have kept it on my wall in the craft cave!  Click here for details on how this was made.

Finally over to September when thought turned to winter and christmas however thought id choose a non christmas as we have this all around us at the minute.  This card inspired by Julia Watts just sings to me!  Click HERE to see how this card was made.

Christmas in Green ...

I hd a fab day yesterday at Crafty Company in Fleetwood we even had cake!  take a look on Facebook if you want to see the pics!

Back to today and as it's sunday I thought i would share a quick Christmas card from my christmas stamp range in a colour I rarely use.

I used basil leaf colour cloud to stamp the rose scroll background stamp.  I cut a panel in the middle of the card using the greek collection border and placed acetate behind this to ad stability.

Next I simply cut a wreath form my christmas shades paper pad and added a spray of ivy and some of the christmas rose stamps and matching dies.

Springs Child...

A simple die cut and stamped card for today featuring the Springs Child poem.

I created a set of frames using the Creative Expressions double pierced squares and set B. I used these to frame a piece of the Ivy Lace paper in soft Holly form my Christmas Shades paper pack ( I created this paper pad so that t could be used for Christmas or any time of the year)

Next I stamped the poem, from the Birthday Seasons clear stamp set, onto the backing from the pad which is shaded to look like you have used colour cloud in watering can Archival ink.

I cut 2 flags by hand using other pieces form the paper pad to match and shaded these with decadent bamboo colour cloud around the edges.

Next I cut the its and the herbs from the spellbinders herbs dies and shaded these with a smoothie and more of the colour cloud .

I made up the card as shown

Spring & Summer...

I hope you managed to catch Last nights L:lunch show I really enjoyed the launch especially as its the Birthday week and I returned a year later ( being on Hochanda on day 1) with my own designs!

I thought today I would show you the last 2 seasons child cards I made to showcase the new Seasons child set Spring and Summer.  If you want to see these samples shown and some (hopefully informative) demos then tune in today at 9am, 12pm, 4pm and last chance at 7pm.

Once again I teamed these with my Christmas Shades premium pair pack Spring is with the Amethyst shade pop pares.  I used the Sue Wilson Cornflower die along with the Maidenhair fern to frame this one on white and icicle pearl card.




















Next Comes summer teamed with the Soft Gold papers and the camellia dies.

A child for all seasons...Shows

Firstly don't forget to join me tonight on Hochanda ( Freeview 39, Sky 669 or online at www.Hochanda.com) at 8pm for the Launch of my Autumns Child stamp range which is the final part of the series I have been running form December last year.  Every set will be available on the shows so if you missed any you will have a chance to get these as well!  I have also designed a new and final set to finish off the range a Seasons child set featured today.  This set is designed with a new hand written poem for each season, Spring, Summer, Autumn and finally winter.  Today I am showing e twofer with acrd for Autumn and winter.

Firstly Autumns child which I have teamed with the Soft Berry colour way of my Christmas Shades premium paper pack.  As I may have mentioned I designed this paper pad to be used all year like a puppy it's not just for Christmas lol

Each card I have made features a different flower die from the Creative Expressions craft dies range designed by Sue Wison.  Autumn is made using the Exquisite Poppies along with the Olive Branch foliage cut in Gold.

Next is Winters child, I designed these to make cards for us all or to be perfect sentiments to go inside cards on inserts, use the appropriate month stamp for the Birthday and follow this with the Season poem in the insert.

The other Idea was I thought these would be perfect for people who sell their cards allowing a semi personalised card that has a shelf life of at least 3 months ( I was thinking of you steph!lol)

This time I teamed the stamps with the Saphire colour way of the paper pack and the Holly Spray cut in silver and the Festive Snowflakes dies which Phill Martin has been making Fabulous cards with lately!

Christmas Launch Shows...

Well todays the day for the official launch of my charitsmas range on Hochanda and I have tried to include everything I used for the sample on the shows event the stick pins!

I thought today I would give you another bonus look at the paper pad and all the projects I have made using them.  I used all the elements I have on the show as well as stamps from across the range.

Todays shows are on at 10am, 1pm and 3pm so tune in to see some of these projects being made and demonstrated!

Christmas Flourishes...

some of you may have seen a draft version of this post yesterday morning however I have now amide it and changed the card lol!


Don't forget I'm on stand P07 today again with the At of Craft at Crafting Live Doncaster!  Todays sneak peak is another set of stamps andI have to admit one of my favourites because although it is not the most exciting of sets but I have used it across nearly every card sample I have made!

I have a brilliant friend to thank for this set as I designed it at the request of and especially for Mrs Duck.  She asked for a set of small flourishes and borders words etc that would add that finishing touch ( or full stop in my lexicon) to her cards and to help with Batch making and simpler cards needed for Christmas.  I have to admit I love how this set has come out.

The card I have chosen to show this off uses the word borders to make the circular wreath shown here and `I will be demonstrating how to get a straight line to go around a circle on my shows on Monday or Tuesday.

Dont forget I will be launching the whole range tomorrow at 10am as the Weekday WOW on Hochanda tune in to see the whole range and how I use it.

Also after several requests yesterday I have finally been able to add anonymous comments to the blog just add a comment and select anonymous simple x

Christmas Sentiments for all...

Before I get onto today's sneak peak I thought I should mention that I will be on stand P07 Today and tomorrow at Crafting Live at Doncaster racecourse!  I have a card on my Facebook today showing one of the demos I swill be doing with the Pixie Powders.














Back to today's sneak peak and today's set is designed to meet all the requirements we have at Christmas for our batch cards. The set is called Poinsettia Christmas Wishes and has frames ( that fit with the Greek die shape from Sue Wilson designs for Creative Expressions.

 A lovely lady at rainbow ribbons in Solihull asked if I could do a small  dad and Mum sentiment and that got me thinking there are so many relatives and combinations that just mum and dad wouldn't do. therefore I made a flexible set that covers all the relatives as well as their partners.  This means that you can make any relative and partner flexible or what and much needed these days.

I thought the best way to show this set was the set of 6 pillow boxes ( and its usual to make a box on Saturday) and the matching tags which would make, in my opinion anyway, perfect table payments and favour boxes for the Christmas table.











The boxes are, of course, made using 6 of the papers form my Christmas shades paper pack in the six colours.  I have also shaded each box using the matching colour cloud which are Crimson Kiss, Lemon Meringue, Basil Leaf, Plum Cobbler, Frosted Sky & Decadent Denim.  AS you all know I like to match my colours to existing cosmic shimmer products wherever possible as it makes it easier for all of us!

Christmas Shades...

I'm sorry this post is a couple of days late I had planned to sneak peak the my new Christmas Shades paper pad on Tuesday however I wanted to make the projects in each colour and that proved more time consuming than I thought!

To start with the first picture is a collection made with just a few of the Soft Berry shade of papers form the pad.  I have made a Large gift bag, Pillow box, Christmas Card and a small gift bow.  I have also used, of course,m a selection of the stamp release as well!

I thought It would be fun to introduce the pad by making one of my favourite things a box and to do it, as shown, in every colour.  The colours are Soft Berry, Amethyst, Soft Gold, Sapphire, Ice Blue & Soft Holly.  As usual I have matched these to as many Creative Expressions ranges as possible so that you can easily match your products to make beautiful creations of your own.

These small gift boxes were the perfect idea for me to show the different colourways as well as how I have teamed Creative Expressions  double sided satin ribbon to the colours.

Shown here are the Soft shades and below the Modern shades hopefully giving maximum crafting possibilities.  I also wanted to make the pad multiuse so some of the patterns can be used all year round in fact there is only one design that says Christmas!

A gentle shine...

I thought today I would show you another card I had prepped for demos on my last stamp show on Hochanda that I just didn't get time to do!  This uses a mixture of the papers, the stamps as well as one of my old favourites from the triplet stamps from last year.  I do like to revisit older products, as I know we all do, as it can't always be new as Im running out of space!

I started this one by stamping the rose triplet three times onto the Sea Spray colour clouded background paper from my paper pack.  I cut these out using one of the striplet outline dies and matted it with aqua foundation card.  Next I stamped the lily lattice circle onto more of the sea spray and coloured in the flower heads using the Pearl Lustre metallic gilding polish.  I stamped the sentiment from my lily of the valley everyday sentiments set and coloured around the cut image ( cut out using the circle die in the Maggie die set designed by Sue Wilson) using are of the pearl lustre polish.  I foam mounted this above and added a simple bow of blue white seam binding and a pearl in the centre.

Next I embossed a piece of bright white card using the eternal ivy embossing folder and added the shine using the Teal Ocean gilding polish.  I shone the polish using a dry wet wipe and then mounted the triplet pieces above this with from tape.

I cut the union square filigree die and after colouring this with the teal polish I added the circlet on top.  A few layers of the aqua and white and finished.  It was great to see if the polish would colour the flowers and be proved right lol.
