Date night :)

I didn't take a picture but for date night tonight Jonathon and I went and ate dinner at Tepanyaki! It was soooo good! I've been on a Sushi kick ever since Kelly introduced me to it in Elko :) Anyways we had a really fun time! Thanks Babe :) On another note... we did a walk through yesterday at the house in Saratoga Springs that we made an offer on. Jonathon has been working on buying this house for a month now. Everything was looking great and then today we got a little bit of bad news. It may affect us getting the loan, all because Jonathon doesn't have two years work history in Mining. He didn't Mine at all in 2009. So that might be the one reason we don't get this house :( We will have to see though. We still need to do the inspection tomorrow and make sure everything is good in the house anyways. But I'm crossing my fingers.. so I guess we'll see. Buying a house is very stressful.. and I haven't had to do anything. It seems like Jonathon has lived on the phone ever since we made an offer.. Hopefully we'll just know either way soon.

We went to the park today because the weather was so great! Jonathon and Alexis had a great time swinging.

They climbed this huge tree :) Alexis was a little afraid at first but Jonathon made her feel very confident! They got all the way to the top!

It seriously seems like Kinleigh changes every single day. She is starting to smile more often :) She is a baby that definitely does better with a routine/schedule already. She will get very fussy if she isn't put to bed by 7:30, 8 ish. She gets very upset when she is tired. She also likes the room to be calm and dark. She doesn't do well with a lot of noise and a lot going on. She still loves her soothie binky, but spits it out when she is almost asleep. Kinleigh absolutely LOVES taking a bath/shower. She really enjoys taking showers with her Daddy! She fell asleep in the shower this morning :) She really liked walking to the park today in her "Snuggle." Jonathon liked it too! That way he could hold her and talk on the phone at the same time.. lol.

I feel like I'm going to blink and Kinleigh is going to be 6 months old. I'm glad that she is getting her own personality and she is awake more often.. but I don't want it to go too fast.

So Jonathon called me on Saturday and told me that they were going to get a week off starting that day. He told me to leave my moms and meet him up at his moms later that night. So Kelly, Nicole, Alexis, Kinleigh, and I packed up the car and made the 4 hour drive up here to American Fork. I dropped off Kelly and Nicole after a VERY long 4 hour drive. Alexis was naughty the first 2 hours.. and then Nicole was a little naughty the last 2 hours. Kinleigh cried way more than she usually does while we are traveling, so basically Kelly was out of her seat belt trying to take care of all the kids every other minute. I was happy when we finally got to Jonathon's moms house. It was really great to be back with Jonathon after not seeing him for almost a week. I was however sad to leave my nice comfy bed at my moms house :( lol. The boys all rode with my dad from Elko and my dad dropped them off before heading down to Monticello. So Sam and my dad both drove the whole 8 hour drive that day. We've just been hanging out since getting to Celenas. She has already made yummy dinners for us as usual :) Yesterday Keri and Adam came over to Celenas to visit and eat dinner with us! We all went over to the Elementary school and while the boys played basketball Keri and I watched the kids play on the playground. It was nice to sit and catch up with Keri :) Kinleigh is still doing amazing at night.. but during the day can get fussy. It's so weird and sometimes nothing you do makes her happy. During the day she has a really hard time getting into a deep sleep it seems like. I'll think she is fast asleep and then go to lay her down and she is wide awake again. So I don't know if it's just that she isn't getting really good sleep in the day that is making her fussy or what. Because at night she doesn't make a peep. She sure is a cutie pie though! I think she is getting a little spoiled already when it comes to always needing to be held. I blame that on our crazy life. I couldn't bring her swing with us because there just isn't enough room. So I don't really have anywhere to just put her and not worry about someone sitting on her or Alexis bugging her. I CAN'T wait until I have my own place. There is always so much going on during the day also no matter where we are at.. So Kinleigh always gets woken up. Kinleigh has started smiling just in the last couple of days! She doesn't do it way often, mostly in the morning when she first wakes up. She is so dang cute and I just love her sooo much! Alexis is going through some pretty weird stages right now. She has to change her clothes about 10 times a day.. and she has to change her "girl panties" that's what she calls them.. just as much. I asked her why she thinks she needs to change her "girl panties" so often and she couldn't really give me an answer. It is pretty annoying though. I'll walk into the room and she'll have clothes and girl panties scattered everywhere. Alexis has also been very (I hate to say it) naughty lately. It seems like no matter what I say to her she wants to always be sassy or ornery. I think that she is acting out to try and get my attention. I've been really trying to constantly give Alexis as much attention as possible to make sure she knows that she is just as important to me as she has always been. I would never want Alexis to feel like Kinleigh gets more attention or anything like that. But I've also explained to Alexis that right now Kinleigh does need lots of my attention. She doesn't resent her sister at all though.. and absolutely loves her little sister. I think she just might be a little frustrated with me because I can't just drop everything for her like before. Alexis is so smart and so much fun! I love her sooo much :) Anyways tomorrow we are supposed to do a walk through with an inspector in the house out in Sarartoga Springs that we could be closing on here very soon. So I guess we'll see how the next week goes. I just wanted to hurry and say how nice it is to have Jonathon around and not working. This morning he took Kinleigh for me so that I could sleep in. A couple of hours later the baby was fed, changed, and fast asleep. Alexis had also been bathed and dressed. It was so weird to not have to get anyone else ready but myself. He is such a big help to me :)

Quick update

These past couple weeks have been really fun :) Last week my mom and Derek came over to Elko during Derek's spring break. We all had a good time going out to dinner, swimming, visiting, and hanging out. The girls all went shopping one day, while the boys went and looked at dirt bikes. Ami and her girls came over to Elko a couple days after my mom. Of course Alexis, Sorcia, and Izzy spent most of the time swimming. My mom, Derek, Kelly, and Nicole left Friday morning to drive to Provo. Derek needed to go over to get his tux for prom and Kelly caught a ride back from Elko. Alexis, Kinleigh, and I followed Ami and her girls on Saturday to Provo. So that is another 4 hours I drove myself and two kids. Luckily they did really good. Kinleigh slept almost the whole way. On Saturday night my mom, Kelly, Nicole, Alexis, Kinleigh, and I went and did some clothes shopping, then ate at the The Pizza Factory :) On Sunday Alexis, Kinleigh, Derek, and I followed my mom, Kelly, Grandma Josie, and Nicole down to Monticello. It was nice having Derek ride with me, because he drove when Kinleigh was getting a little fussy so that I could sit in the back with her. So there is another 4 hours of driving.
Anyways so we have been in Monticello since Sunday. We've just been hanging out and Alexis has enjoyed playing with the toys we weren't able to take with us to Elko. Alexis and Nicole have spent most the time fighting.. ha ha. I'm not sure why but those two do not get along at all. Alexis does however have a great time when Sorcia and Izzy come and play. Today I went and visited with my friend Jackie. Her little boy Keaton is only 2 weeks older than Kinleigh! We had a great time visiting :) Alexis, Kinleigh, and I will be following Kelly, Nicole, and Keri back up north on Sunday. Keri is coming down to go and watch Derek's promenade dance at his prom tomorrow night. Then on Monday Jonathon is going to come to American Fork from Elko so that on Tuesday we can do a walk through of the house we put an offer in on. The sellers accepted our offer, and now we are just waiting for everything to go through.. and we also want to be 100% sure we want that specific house. If we do decide we want that house, and everything goes as planned we will close on it by April 8th. So we could possibly be homeowners in a couple of weeks!

Kinleigh is getting more fun everyday. She was smiling at me this morning :) She is still such a good baby at night :) Last night she slept about 4 and 1/2 hours straight! She is just so calm at night and never cries. During the day she can get a little fussy sometimes.. but usually she'll stop fussing when I give her the binky. She is just so precious. Even her cry is just so soft and cute :)
I've been pumping every 4 hours.. and that seems to work for us. She still isn't a great eater, and pulls away about 50 times when I nurse her.. so the bottle seems to just be better. I don't really care how she's getting it, as long as she is getting my milk.
Alexis is still a big help! She makes me laugh all the time because she always has something to say about everything. Ha ha..

It's hard when we leave Jonathon over in Elko :( But it's also hard sitting in a hotel room all day with two kids.
Anyways life is good.. and a little bit crazy right now. But I'm thankful that Jonathon has a good job and that we are all healthy and happy!

25...really?

Did I really turn 25 yesterday? I pretty much forgot it was b-day until my mom text me at midnight the night before. Birthdays just aren't that exciting when you get older. Well I spent most of my b-day sitting in the hotel room in Elko.
Jonathon, Alexis, Kinleigh, and I spent a whole week in AF/Provo.. and drove back to Elko on Monday afternoon. The boys had to be back to work yesterday morning.
We had a great week hanging out with both Jonathon's family and my family. Kelly and Chad were nice enough to let us stay at their house for the weekend. We had a lot of fun visiting and hanging out. Alexis and Nicole pretty much fought the whole time, but I think we are all getting used to it. Nicoley really likes baby Kinleigh.. and she'd always ask to hold her! Jonathon and Chad were able to do their Feb. Pest Control services they needed to get done. I babysat Nicole on Thursday so that Kelly and Keri could attend a funeral.
We got to spend some time with Adam and Keri... if I haven't mentioned it yet.. I just want to say that I really really like this Adam guy that Keri has been dating. I think he is such a sweetheart to her. Hopefully they'll keep dating :) Anyways.. Chad and Kelly had a full house on Saturday when Chad's brothers and their wives and kids came over for a BBQ. It was fun to visit with all of them.. and the kids had a great time playing. On Friday night Jonathon, Adam, Keri, Alexis, Kinleigh, and I went over to Chris and Summer's house to watch a movie. Alexis had a lot of fun playing with Christian and Mary. Christian even talked Alexis into putting about 4 tattoos on her face. We washed them off her face right away.. because even though they were pretty, we didn't want them to stay on her face for too long.. ha ha. So then they just put them on their arms! It was nice to see everyone.
We were going to drive back to Elko on Saturday. But we ended up staying so that we could do a little house hunting! We looked at a house Monday morning that both of us just fell in love with! We ended up putting in an offer last night. I guess we'll see what they come back with. So anyways Jonathon got home last night at 6:00 pm and then was on the phone with the guy we are going with to help us get a loan.. and he ended up being on the phone forever. My dad called me and told me he wanted to take me out to dinner for my b-day. So my dad, Alexis, and I went out to eat. Jonathon says the minute I left the baby started freaking out. She was sleeping when I left so I thought he'd be able to talk on the phone and do whatever he needed to. Well I guess Kinleigh got fussy so he had to try and calm her down while talking on the phone. Jonathon told me that for my b-day he'd buy me the house that I love! That'd be awesome if everything works out the way we hope it does :) Jonathon felt really bad that he wasn't able to go to dinner with us.. so I think he said something about taking me out for my b-day tonight when he gets home.
There were so many people that called, text, and facebooked me yesterday to wish me a happy b-day. It was very sweet! I don't know how I feel about being 25 already.. but I guess it is better than being 30. Although I will be 30 before I know it. So anyways getting a house is what we are working on right now. I hope things work out and we can get that house that we really like. That'd be awesome!
I think that is all for now. I'd better go because Alexis has been bugging me to take her swimming since she woke up at 9 this morning.

1 month already??

Can my little baby girl already be 1 month old? It seems like I just had her yesterday. Kinleigh is one month old now as of yesterday. She is still such a good baby. She does get fussy still sometimes right after she eats. She loves sleeping on her belly or her side. Obviously I only let her sleep that way if she is napping. She loves to sleep on her belly on my chest or Jonathon's chest, but I don't want to get her in the habit of sleeping like that too often. She does nap really well in her bassinet. I'm sure she weighs over 8 lbs. now.. it seems like her legs are getting a little chunkier! She is pretty much the best night baby ever. I still have to set my alarm clock to wake up and feed her. She is just so calm at night, and doesn't fuss at all. It's pretty much amazing! Alexis still loves her little sissy so much, and I think she loves her more and more every day. Like I said I can't believe she is already a month old. Kinleigh likes her binky way more than Alexis ever did. Kinleigh will only take it every once and a while though. She likes to suck on it right before she gets tired enough to fall asleep. Then she will spit it out. Sometimes she loves it and other times she makes a really funny face and gags. Alexis has been such a big helper. She loves to help me bathe Kinleigh. Kinleigh loves to take baths. She looks very content in the bathtub. Kinleigh has thrown up a few times after eating, but I think it might have been that she ate too much. She usually will eat about 2-3 oz. every 3 hours. She loves to walk around and gets a little fussy if she is in the same spot for too long. She has been a lot of fun, and we just love her to pieces :) So far she has been wonderful to travel with. She sleeps the whole time. We've travled a lot lately so it's a good thing she does so well.

I left Kinleigh laying on the bed for seriously like a minute.. and this is what I found when I came back. Alexis decided she'd dress her little baby sister in her bikini.. ha ha. It was pretty dang funny :) Kinleigh just kind of looked at me like Oh, boy this is what my life is going to be like. I can't believe how fast Alexis was able to dress Kinleigh up.. she is one sneaky 4 year old.
