Ouch. I don't know if it is a boy thing or a Brody thing, but he is always bonking his head in the exact same place. As soon as one bruise goes away, he gets another!

HEROES-
Right now I have several heroes. #1 My mom. She is going through a lot right now battling breast cancer. I look up to her and her bravery. She has always been a wonderful example to me.
#2 my dad. My dad picked up and left everything at his job in California when my mom told him that she had cancer. He has been by her side and is becoming an excellent nurse! My dad has also been a great example and a good friend.
#3 My husband. Kalani is an amazing man. He has worked hard to make a life for us. He is extremely patient! He has never once raised his voice to me, and trust me, I have deserved it once or twice! He is the love of my life and I am grateful for all that he does for me.
#4 My newest hero is my niece. If you have been watching the news you have probably heard this story. On Sunday night she was walking with her sisters and some friends. The group had all crossed the street except for my niece. A man pulled over and flashed a police badge and made her get into his car! He drove a few blocks away and then attempted to rape her! She realized that his was not a cop and started fighting back and screaming. She was able to get out of the car and ran into the street screaming for help. She was able to get help, but the man got away! She is my hero because she did the right thing... she fought back! She is a great example to her younger cousins and I am grateful for her courage!

We have spent the last 2 weekends @ Lagoon! The first weekend we went with my parents and Tyler. While we were there, the power went out for 2 hours! Because of that, they let us bring back our tickets and get in again for free! So we went back and enjoyed a second visit! Everyone had a lot of fun and Brinley was finally tall enough to go on the "white" rollercoaster! Brody was happy going on th train, over and over again!

SAVE THE BOOBIES!!!! An update on my mom. She had a biopsy done on her thyroid, and that came back NEGATIVE (Yeah, cancer-free)! She goes in tomorrow to have a MASECTOMY!!!! Not fun. They want to make sure that they get all of the cancer, so they feel that the masectomy is necessary. While she is still under, the plastic surgeon will come in and start rebuilding her breast, which I didn't know they did, but it sounds great to me! After the surgery sometime, she will have to do chemptherapy. :( So, she will be doing some wig shopping for Andy's wedding. So please keep her in your prayers!

This is one of Brody's favorite toys. He loves dropping the little balls in and watching them come out the bottom... well that is when he hasn't stuffed all kinds of other things in it! Several times a day and am trying my hardest to get out blocks and other toys out of this! The makers of this toy need to make an easyopening for us moms to dig out everything! No wonder I found it in perfect condition at Kid to Kid, one mom got smart and got rid of it!!

What a day! Today I ran 4 miles in the "Draper Challenge"! It is part of Draper Trail Days. When I signed up for the race, for some reason, I thought I would be running on fairly level ground. Nope. Up the side of the mountain, and then back down it!

The day started out at 6:45 when I woke up and saw gray skies, and rain coming down. my friend Cami and I decided to go with it anyway. When we got to the race, It was chilly, but at least it wasn't raining! It was a hard course, but it was sooo beautiful and so much fun! I pushed myself harder than I have in a long time! I am a little tired now, but I am sure I will be sore in the morning!

When I ran last month in the "race for the cure", I was very moved by the spectators cheering us on at the end of the race. I kept glancing at the crowd hoping that my family might be there to cheer me on, but I didn't tell them to, so they weren't. So this race, I told Kalani that it would be nice to have them there cheering me on. Well, I got to the end of the race and I pushed really hard, I glanced around, but no family. The thing is, Kalani said he would be there. So I was a little bummed. I got out my phone and texted him to see where he was, and his reply was "almost there". well, a little too late. The funny thing is though, I guess there was another race in Draper that day another part of town, and Kalani and the kids were at that one!!! By the time he figured out that he was at the wrong race, he was too late for mine! Ha, ha, ha! He made the effort though, and I guess that will count, this time. I was impressed that he had the kids all up and dressed and out there early in the morning, so he does get points for that!! Next race though, he WILL be there!
