Gifts that is! There are so many people having babies. The trend this year for me was mostly boys. I had 4 boy gifts and 1 girl gift. I just made them initial letters.

I hate that I live so far off from everyone, so I just made them a little happy and mailed it.

Happy Birthday Lea Ann!

So, today is Lea Ann's birthday! Between Sarah and her, we just celebrate the whole month of March. So its "Whatever you want to eat, eat it, because we are celebrating Sarah and Lea Ann's birthdays!" Great Diet Plan!

Lea Ann's birthday is March 20. Although I often get confused and call her on March 22. I have no idea why, but I always struggle with her birthday!

Lea Ann is my friend that I prayed for as a freshman at Mississippi University for Women. I did not know a soul, but GOD sent her to me! We have been as thick as thieves ever since! I could tell you great and funny stories that involve lots of good eating, refurbishing furniture, lots of good eating, spying, tunneling, road trips, washboard bands, lots of good eating, painting, and many other fun things, but I will have to leave it at that. We had lots of good eating if you couldn't tell!
Lea Ann, thank you for always being my friend, even if I call you and forget to wish you a "Happy Birthday" because I think I still have two days! That just means that you can celebrate an extra two days! Thank you for always making me laugh and brightening my day. You are such a sweet, caring, thoughtful and creative person, who constantly inspires me! I wished I had half the talent that you do! Maybe I should just start caring a ruler, but I don't have patience for that! Thank you for being an answer to prayer! GOD has immensely blessed me with you friendship! I hope that you have a wonderful day! Eat lots of icing for me!

A Phone Call

So got a phone call this morning. I thought it was my alarm and when it didn't turn off, I realized it was my phone. Someone on the other line, who is never up this early, said that she would be on the Today Show. I quickly called all the family - some more appreciative than others for being woken up - and stood in front of my TV with a camera in one hand and was on the phone with my mom with the other. So who did I see - my sister Brook and her friends Bonnie, Melody, and Jen. I was so excited! I love the Today Show! I was even asked to join them last week, but stupidly thought I need to clean out my house rather than going to New York! Yes, I am kicking myself now. So, I just took lots of pictures and just pretended that I was there.

Happy Birthday Sarah!

My friend Sarah is celebrating her birthday today!

I just love Sarah! We have been besties since collage. She has a love for beautiful things. I think it is because she has pretty blue eyes that she has passed on to her pretty eyed boys. She also has pretty hands. People have often admired her beautiful fingers! There are other qualities that I have seen people almost snap their heads to see, but I won't talk about those. Lets just say our trips to Wal-Mart in the middle of the night where always interesting, and we normally walked away laughing!

Sarah is wonderful at photography. I love looking at her pictures that she has taken of her family. Such a pretty family! Sarah is also very generous! She shares her ideas, recipes, and love with others very easily. The only thing I can remember that she didn't share was pizza. If you were ordering with her, you better get your own! I love that about her! She is also very funny! I can't tell you how many nights we would stay up eating, talking, and laughing! She enjoys a good scary movie. Sarah, "Have you checked the children?" Most of all Sarah is just sweet and thoughtful. She always has a kind word to go with her smile!

Sarah, I hope you have a wonderful birthday! I love you very much, and my life is richly blessed with you as a friend! Happy Birthday!

A Georgia Peach

So this weekend, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit my good friend Laura, who is a peach of a friend! There is always laughter with her! It was a great weekend where I got to not only help her decorate her house, but got to visit with some great friends - Lea Ann, Alyssa, and Chris. We had so much fun, stayed up entirely too late (4 a.m.), and had lots of great food. A good time was had by all! I will only show you some glimpses, because she is still working on her house. It is just beautiful. We focused mainly on the downstairs. She loves the shabby chic look, so that is what we were going for.

Party on the Weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend in the wonderful town of Potts Camp as well as Holly Springs, Hernando, and a few minutes in Memphis! We were able to go to two birthday parties and catch up on some valuable family and friend time!

We came home due to a surprise party for my friend, Alyssa's husband Chris's birthday! We were able to stay at the lake house with wonderful friends - Lea Ann, her husband Steve, and Laura. It was so nice and peaceful that Ken and I stayed another night since neither of us had to work on Monday.

On Saturday, Alana, Laura, Lea Ann, Steve, Ken, and I went and ate lunch at Michael's Cajun Country in Holly Springs! I had a delicious Fried Green Tomato and Bacon sandwich! Later on the girls went in one vehicle to Memphis and the boys in the other. They were supposed to pick up Chris to take him to his birthday party, but ended up almost to Jackson, TN. This cut our quick trip to Garden Ridge short, but we were glad to pick him up. Poor thing, he probably thought no one was going to pick him up! He knew when I called, we would be a little late! I am almost always late to everything! It was nice to arrive with the birthday boy, so every one was glad to see you! We got to catch up with Sarah, Brad, and their precious boys Will and Reed. I loved holding Reed! He was so sweet! We also got to catch up with Mary Martha and Don. Mary Martha is always fun! I loved how our husbands gathered on one end, and us on the other. It was quite fun that all the girls were talking about blogs they enjoy reading! The party was at Cedar Hills Farm outside of Hernando in the community of Love! I always thought it would be fun to say that you lived in Love! I always smile going through there! Alyssa had great plans for Chris's outdoor party, but unfortunately the rain to cooperate! The food and cake was great! I practiced eating with a sleeping baby on m shoulder! It was quite interesting and will probably be great in a couple of years! Everything was wonderful! Fun was had by all!

On Sunday, we celebrated my dear sweet grandmother, Mama Betty's birthday! She is so precious, kind, thoughtful, and truly the most beautiful woman on the inside and out! I like to call her Little Sophia (like on the Golden girls) because you never know what funny thing she will say next! She is wonderful! She is one of the main reasons I started a blog, because I knew she would probably be the only one to read it and enjoy it! When I was little, any time any one asked who I looked like, I would say, "Mama Betty!" Don't you think that we look a like? Isn't she lovely?
