Ping “Pong Pong”

Still remember that I love to play ping pong a lot during my secondary schooling. I wouldn’t say I’m good on it as I’m not naturally gifted when it comes to sport. Once I played bola sepak and the ball hit directly on my face…malu for the rest of the week. Then I went to play basketball lor, I pulak the shortest among all the players. That was why I ended up playing ping pong.

I was very happy when my company announced that we’ll have so called “sport day” every Wednesday. It started last week with ping pong, which was one of my favourite la so called. Mana tau pulak they tried to be creative, came up with following idea:

For those who know me well, of course I won’t jump into that pond la…hilang all my images that I’ve built for the past 1 year nanti. So the question is..would you jump into the pond to play ping pong?

2 Hours...

15 Jan 2010: Finally I have time to check my blog again. Looked at the previous post and realized that was like 18 days ago? Wow, what have I done within this period? Did anyone realize that I’ve been missing indeed?

Work has been piled up lately since new year, been assigned to a new project that requires me to complete the thing by end of the month without any supporting documents provided. Did a lot of researches and almost daily night conference calls to discuss on open items. What made it worse was I’ll be on a week leave within the month that I need to get it done ideally before I leave.

And here I am, done my project review with US side an hour ago and packed all my stuff. Another 2 hours that I’ll leave to airport, and by 10am++ I’ll step on the land of “Shopping Heaven”…Yippie. No more Blackberry with me this time around, I need a peaceful holiday

OK guys, catch up again when I’m back to town and may you all have a good week ahead.

My Energy Booster

9 JULY 2009: I tend to get sleepy after lunch, especially at 3-4pm (Well, not today as I’m writing this). Apart from writing some stuff here to keep myself awake, I have another secret that perhaps I could share with you guys out there. All I need is a cup of drink that could boost my energy. Take a look on collection of drinks that I keep inside my drawer:

Well, use your own creativity to mix those. You can either mix “green + rose tea”, “whisky + coffee”, “green tea + coffee”, just whatever that you can come out with.

However, my favourite would be “green tea + whisky”…feel myself like a flying pig after taken it.

So, what’s the trick to keep youself awake?

Sauna in the Office

18 MAY 2009: At first I thought the “dramatic” thingy can only happen in 2 “things”, which are HK drama series and human being. But seem that the weather is also following the same trend nowadays, where it can change drastically within a short time. No wonder business is so good lately at those clinics.

In our country, the temperature can easily hit 33°C or above especially at noon time. It’s normally freaking hot out there that I don’t even feel like walking out for lunch. A trip back from lunch can make me sweat here and there especially at the armpit, which is very ugly lo…waste my perfume some more (Hermes and Dior also almost finish de). The worst thing happens is that some “human” in my office like to set the air conditioner temperature to 28°C.

Oh my dear, what’s the difference with outside if you set it to such temperature? What’s the purpose of AC? Do they ever respect the AC for misuse it?

Not to mention what race and which country they are from, why couldn’t they just wear an extra jacket/pullover if they are so scared of cold? And I think those people just don’t like me so much that every time I set it to 21°C, their hands will be so itchy after 30 minutes to set it back to 28°C.

What’s the temperature set for your AC now? Don’t tell me it’s 28°C or above ya..keke.

Dance of the Lion

19 JAN 2009: Company's CIO came all the way from US for a day visit to our Malaysia office. Our MD sent out a reminder email last Friday asked us to be in the office earlier on the day itself, but I was late unexpectedly. Put the blame on my sister that she woke me up at 7:30am to reverse my car, which blocked her car. Since 7:30am was 30 minutes earlier than my usual "wake-up" hour, I thought that I can take another 30 minutes of short nap and the clock showed 9am the next time I looked at it. Damn.

It was lucky that nothing much happened before I reached. The CIO gave us some speeches (as usual) and that's it. Had a lion dance session at 3pm, organized by our company's social committee for early celebration of Chinese New Year. Good job to the social committee.

Was wondering how many companies/household out there still practicing the lion dance tradition during CNY? Any idea?

Can a car hit a flying bird?

19 Nov 2008: You know what, I always envy of bird as they can fly around so freely around the sky without having to go through any accident unless there's an air crash with airplane that could rarely happens. Not until today that my team mate came to office with a shoe box on her hand. As she appeared out of sudden beside of me with that box and asked me to guess what was inside there, I was seriously kind of freaked out as I worried it was a lizard in there (Yeah, I just don't really like lizard). Apparently, it was a bird, which was hit by her car. Wow, how fast she drove to hit this flying bird I was thinking. Guys, never ever look down on those lady drivers. :)

Anyway, that was really kind-hearted of her to bring the bird back. The bird looked so calm that one of his leg was broken. My team mate planned to bring him for medical check-up. She is such a lovely lady I was thinking. The funny thing was that they left a note on top of the box during lunch time that reads "DO NOT OPEN!! INJURED BIRD INSIDE", which I've made a good laugh on it.

Considering that the bird might need some loves, and since I have lots to offer...please accept a kiss from this little brother.
