When Hailee turned one week old this week, I kinda went crazy with the camera taking pictures. I just realize how fast they grow up and I want to be sure to capture a lot of these moments with pictures. Dallin is such a wonderful loving older brother. He loves his baby sister.

It looks like she posed for this one...I just had to include this one. I promise she was happy when I started to take the picture, but as soon as I had snapped the picture, her face looked like this-from one second to the next. Here are some pictures of Hailee in her swing. These first two she looks like she's almost smiling. She really does smile a lot in her sleep though :)

These pictures were taken the day before we went to the hospital to have Hailee. Dallin wanted to sit in the little car seat we were getting ready for her. He's so funny.

She's Here!

Hailee Sophia Wright was born on November 18th at 8:22 am. She was 7 lbs 10 oz and 20 inches long. They had scheduled me to have a cesarean section at 9 am that morning, but the hospital ended up not having the earlier c-section that they had planned, so as soon as I got there that morning, they rushed to get me in for their 8 o'clock time slot. It was nice to not wait around, but at the same time, they didn't get all of the fluids in me through the IV that they had wanted to, so when it came time to get the epidural, it made me pretty sick. I thought I was going to die for a few minutes. After a little while, the sickness passed, and then our little girl was born! She definitely was not as big as they had predicted, (I had an ultrasound two weeks ago where they estimated she was at least 8 and a half pounds.) But she is the perfect size and she is a very healthy girl! It's sad that they have new rules at the hospital for flu season; they won't let any little children in at all, so Dallin couldn't be there to see his new sister.Proud papaWith the grandparentsWe got to come home on Friday and Dallin got to finally meet his new baby sister! He was pretty excited.
Dallin is such a good big brother, he loves sharing his toys with Hailee. Its so funny. I looked over and saw him piling up all his cars in her swing with her. When I gave her a bath today, Dallin went and got one of his bath toys so she had something to play with while I gave her a bath. So sweet!

I need to be more consistent at checking our phones to see what pictures we have on there. I found several pictures on Kyle's phone and some on mine that I thought were really cute to share.
Here are a couple more Halloween pics from Kyle's phone. I had tried to have Dallin ride in his little car while I pushed him around, but he preferred running once he realized what we were doing. These pictures are funny because by the look on his face, you can tell that these pictures were taken before we started getting the candy and before he knew what was really going on.Even before Halloween, Dallin really loved to wear his monkey costume around the house. He still does. Our precious little monkey taking a nap.Toward the end of August, we went swimming at Heise with Grandpa and Grandma Wright and some of Dallin's cousins. Dallin loved it! He even rode the waterslide a couple of times. Here is a picture of Dallin and his cousin Lilly afterwards at Heise pizza. They like to give each other hugs :)This Summer I went through a lot of old things to get rid of junk. Well, Dallin happened to find some of my old socks crazy socks and he thought it would be funny to wear them on his feet And hands. Way back in June, I took Dallin to the splash park in Rexburg. He didn't really know what to think at first. He enjoyed it, but it really wasn't as hot of a day as it could have been. He was kind of hestitant to get wet.After splashing in the water a bit, Dallin really wanted to ride the carousel. He LOVED it! (You probably can't tell by the looks on his face though- I couldn't get him to smile when I was taking a picture)

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a lot of fun this year, especially since Dallin was old enough to go trick-or-treating and understand that if he went and knocked on doors they would give him candy. This year he dressed up as a monkey. His little costume was so cute!We visited some of Grandma's and Grandpa's houses...At Grandpa and Grandma Wright's house, we had a great time eating chili and snacks, and playing the donut eating game!
The donut eating game is a game where donuts are tied to strings and hung from the ceiling. Then, you stand underneath a donut, and have a contest to see who can eat it the fastest without using their hands. Its a lot of fun.
Here are some of the kids playing and Dallin wanted to join in on the fun!Dallin kind of used his hands, but we won't tell! I guess I better mention that I played too, and won out of our group! Mostly because I was eating for two! :)
Afterward, I took Dallin trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. I could hardly keep up with him- he was running so fast from house to house!


He only got distracted once when he decided chasing a kitty around would be even more funAfter trick-or-treating, we went to Nana's house to wish her a Happy Birthday. It was a pretty full day for all of us- but Dallin was able to keep his energy up with all of the candy he was eating!
