Painted Nails for Christmas

For those of you who know my mom, you will appreciate this. For those of you who don't you will still find this silly. I was so grateful that I got to go home for Christmas this year. It has been a really long time. On Christmas Eve we went to my Grandmas house to open gifts. My mom sent me home with a wonderful gift. She secretly painted my little 11 months old finger-nails red, right before I left. Hello, he is a BOY. The best part about the whole thing that will make my mom laugh really hard is that I am out of nail polish remover at my house. Mom you are so silly. I think she is paying me back for visiting her for a whole 6 hours. If I were her I'd be mad too. -I love you mom- Maybe I will leave it there to make everyday start with a smile as I think of my mom.

Temple lights

We went to the Mesa Temple Monday night to see the lights. The boys loved it. We have been every year since we've lived here. This makes Christmas # 4.

Time flys when you are having fun ( 7 years of fun)

Today is our seventh wedding anniversary. I can't believe it. We enjoy the fact that it only gets better. We watched our wedding video today and realized how little we knew each other after only seven months of dating but we were so sure that we were meant for each other. We are grateful for those promptings of the spirit, and those awe-inspiring experiences' of the everlasting joy of our eternal family.

We had a gingerbread house making contest. We all worked very hard to make it the best home possible for Mr. Gingerbread man. The little houses turned out great but my house.....not so great. What a mess! I guess that is what memories are made of. Candy sprinkles, pieces of smashed up candy cane, and sticky finger prints everywhere. I will still be cleaning little memories off the walls, floors, and cabinets for weeks to come.

Jaxon's First........

Yesterday was a day of first for Jaxon. He had his first gingerbread, his first candy (thank you Dave) and took his first steps!!!! I can't believe he is old enough. Dean didn't attempt walking until he was 13 months. Jaxon is only 10 months.

Our Family has a new addition-It's a girl!!!

A girl puppy. Her name is Dixie. She loves Dean and smothers Jaxon with kisses. Dean is now twice as busy with double the tormenting.

We do have good days

update on my royally stubborn child:
Dean had preschool today. I just wanted to admit that we do have good days! He is not always King of Naughtiness. Today he told me after I picked him up "I was only a little bit bad." I'll take a little bit bad any day over full blown
bad.
