Summer is officially here! So are the triple digit temperatures! We live in a very hot dry climate and keeping hydrated is so important. We love to spend our days at the park, the swimming pool and playing in the sprinklers. These amazing Nuby Thirsty Kids Cups are so perfect for all your summer adventures. Making memories-Nuby review and giveaway

When it comes to making memories with your children what do you do? What do you find creates that special moment that you and them will want to remember? While I think it's amazing to go on fun trips and extravagant vacations, the little moments are the times that I truly want to ingrain in my memory forever. 

We love to get a snack, a drink in our Nuby Thirsty Kids Canteen, and head to the park to play. We love to find a quiet spot and read our favorite books. We like to visit grandma and papa. We like to take a walk to the mailbox. As long as we have food and water, everyone is happy!

I hope that my kids will enjoy the time with each other and that the simple moments will hold a space in their heart and memory.

Two toddler spring must haves: Nuby review and giveaway

It was so fun try a few new things from Nuby!

These new Thirsty Kids Flip-It Water Canteens have super adorable colors and designs, are toddler accessible, and have a hygienic flip-it mouth piece. They are the perfect size for your cuties to tote around so they get all the water their little busy bodies need. Archie and Paige loved playing with the spout, flipping it in and pushing the button to flip it out. These are a must have for those warmer months ahead! They can be found at Target.

The next item is these awesome Nuby Easy Go Travel Booster Seats! These right from the start had me excited! Being a mom with twin toddlers we are always trying to round up two high chairs when we go out to eat. These travel booster seats fold up super easily into a lunchbox size case and can come with you anywhere! No more gross highchairs at restaurants and eating dinner at grandmas became a whole lot easier too! They have a simple buckle that goes around the back of the chair and one more underneath the chair. Then a 3 point harness to hold your cutie in! The twins loved sitting in them and felt so big! I can't wait to take these on our many adventures this summer! These are available at Walmart.

Things I want to remember: Nuby Review and Giveaway

When I had the twins just over 2 years ago, I was constantly wishing the days away so they would get to the next phase in their lives. To become a little more independent, sleep through the night, feed themselves, you get the idea...Then fast forward to their second birthday and I keep getting choked up on how big they are. Although I still call them "babies" daily, I look at these photos and see two toddlers! At the beginning of this year, you know, new years resolution time, I thought a lot about what I'd like to accomplish and the one thing that kept coming to my mind was to simplify. I think if I weed out the unnecessary parts, objects, activities in my life I'll have that time to simply enjoy my babies growing and developing. I want to always be there for them and I want to remember them being this little, because we all know that saying "babies don't keep". Here are a few little things I'd like to remember about Archie and Paige...

• They are both super into snack time right now, whether it be in the car, while they are playing or if I make them sit down. They love popcorn, crackers, cheese, raisins, veggie straws, pears, and they both just like water. I've tried juice a few times and they aren't huge fans.

• They love to feed themselves and each other! I always catch them giving the other one a bite, a taste, a lick, and they trade cups back and forth too! 

• They both love shoes, but they love to take them off! The second we get in the car Archie has his shoes and socks off, a daily struggle!

• Paige loves being dressed up, getting her hair done and wearing "bow, bows".

• Archie wishes he could wear bows, I have actually found him with some on before! LOL!

• They love being with each other. They have such a special bond that surprises me all the time. I find them laying down together, cuddling, tickling each other, and playing together more and more lately.

Part of simplifying my life has been about finding things that grow with my babies. Cups and bowls that serve a purpose now and will continue to hold up and do their job for years to come. We have loved everything from Nuby including these New Tritan Spout cups and Bamboo & Cornstarch bowls. Both have been used and washed up well. Eating is Fun: Nuby Review & Giveaway

Who has a picky eater in their family? Does it happen to be your toddler? Here are some fun ideas to help you and your child's interaction with food become more of a pleasant time.

• Prepare meal times together and offer choices. Ex: Would you like a banana or a pear?
• Combine new foods with some of their favorites
• Make it fun with plates, silverware ect. Ex: These teddy bear shape miracle mats from Nuby
• Keep it positive and encouraging, never get angry at the refusal of food
• Offer a variety. Ex: I love putting something different in each section of their Nuby mat
• Offer the food again! And Again! Your child may take up to 15 times before trying a new food

Pretty soon they'll be stealing the bananas off of your plate!

Summer! Nuby Review & Giveaway

I feel like summer is going by faster than I'd like. I'm not ready for my big boy to be back in school but I am ready for this heat to go away a little! This summer our top go to activities seem to be watching shows in the air conditioned house or swimming and playing in the water to keep cool.

All three kids love watching Daniel Tiger in the afternoon. We put on an episode and hand out snacks. We love the Nuby Snack Keepers for this very reason. They let the babies have their own portion, the cute cups have easy grip handles, and the silicone top keeps treats from spilling all over. We have also loved bringing the Snack Keepers in the car. We go swimming at least 2-3 times a week so we need toys that are baby and toddler friendly. These Nuby Bath Squirts are the best! I brought them out from the tub (where they are played with nightly) to have some fun in the pool! They are the perfect size for little hands to hold and grasp.
