Welcome Max!!!

My brother Toby and his wife April had their baby on Thursday, December 4th. His name is Max. He was born 7 weeks early but is doing well. He was 4 lbs 9 ozs and 19 inches long. He is still in the NICU but should be coming home soon. All is well with mom and baby, and they are very happy to have him here and doing so well. He is such a strong baby.

Welcome McKennley Kolene Moore

Kurt's sister Kathy had her baby 4 weeks ago. (My internet has not been working for a while so I haven't been able to post much lately, but we are back) Her name is McKennley Kolene Moore. She was born on Thanksgiving, Nov 27th in the morning. She weighed 7 lbs 10 oz and was 20 inches long. Paisley will enjoy having a little friend and being so close. Mom and dad are both doing well. McKennley had a great hair due. Her hair was 2 toned. It is beautiful. Check out McKennley's hair!!! Congrats Kathy and Chaz!

Denver Trip

A few weeks ago we flew down to visit Kraig and Jacqui in Denver. It was a blast. We even got ot go to the BYU vs. Air Force game. We had such great food from them because they are both such great cooks. Kraig is preparing to be a chef and they taught us some great tricks to cooking. Our sunday meal was so fun of food I can't even remember what everything was called. But, we tried artichokes for the first time and there is definetly a first time for every food that's for sure. We had a great time and wish it didn't have to come to an end. We are sure grateful for such great family!

Paisley's growing

I feel like it has been a while since I posted some Paisley Pictures. We are sure enjoying every new thing she does...even the extra hour or two of sleep at nights. She is so adorable. There are just some moments that you can't pass up taking a picture. This is her at Aunt Kristi's house sleeping in her arms.

Pumpkin Carving

Saturday night we went to Kurt's annual family party at his aunt's house. We all dress up, eat dinner and carve pumpkins. It was a lot of fun. I wanted to make a slideshow of the other pictures from the party but I wanted to just post this picture. We were very proud of the pumpkin we carved. It is a little family pumpkin. It was a really big pumpkin so we were able to fit all three of us on it. Might as well start off our first halloween with Paisley. It sure has been fun. We had a great time.

HikINg uP ADam'S caNyON

Tree Huggers!!! This was a really big tree that we couldn't even get are arms around. It was really fun to see all of the fun things nature has to offer. We had a great time up Adam's canyon.









This is what we finally got to see when we got to the top of Adam's Canyon. It was worth the hike. It was a 4 mile hike round trip and a pretty tough one. Kurt even carried Paisley in her carrier all the way up. She was so good. She loves to be outside in nature. This is us with Jared and Ashley. It was fun to spend time with them.

On Saturday we went hiking up Adam's Canyon with Jared and is girlfriend Ashley. We had a great time. It was so pretty up there and it was great to get out with Paisley also. We had some days off because of UEA and fall break so we spent some time with Jared and Ashley. Ashley lives in Kansas and had come out to visit for the weekend, so we thought we would enjoy a hike together so we could get to know her better. It was great and worth the hike. This is the three of us as we are starting off the hike.


Ohhhhh...are we still newlyweds?!?!? We sure enjoyed our picture taking, especially with Ashley's cool camera that takes pictures with this cool setting. It was beautiful up there, we had to pull off a kissing picture sometime.

The little family at the top. Paisley is now 2 months old and is getting very big. She is still very tall for her age and still looks just like Kurt. We loving haveing another Kurt around (a girl version that is).





It sure was pretty up here. Look at this view on the way up. The leaves were beautiful and so was the day. It was a perfect day to go hiking. Paisley looks pretty sweet with those shades on, she had no idea. But, it made a funny picture.

Paisley's Blessing Day

We had a great day for Paisley's blessing. She did very well and everyone enjoyed seeing her and holding her. We are very proud parents and it has been a great blessing to have her in our lives. I have always wanted to make my daughter's blessing dress, so I did. My mom helped me but I am proud to say I did it. It turned out really good and now she has her own white dress that will be very special to her later on.

Paisley is 1 month old!

Paisley was one month old on September 16th. She's had a great first month and we have enjoyed taking her many places. She has been so much fun to have around and we are happy to have her. Happy one month Paisley!

Paisley's first 3 weekends

Paisley had a crazy first 3 weekends. The first weekend of her life when she was one week old we went up to our friends cabin. They are friends of hte family and the whole family clan got to go. We had a great time and she did very well. All the kids kept their distance and were just glad to have her there. Kurt even took her out on a canoe. It was a little stream and was not deep at all. He only took her in there for the picture so nothing dangerous.

The second weekend we took her to the Heber Camp with my family. My parents took all of their kids and their in-law's families to the Heber Camp. We had a big cabin for each family and we had a great time. Paisley again did great and is already liking the outdoors from the beginning...whether she likes it or not.

The third weekend we took her to the state fair. We had a great time and she even went to the rodeo. She got to see the cows, sheep, and even tigers. What 3 week old baby had done all that by the time they were 3 weeks?!?!? She survived and is still healthy. She even goes and plays volleyball with mom and dad weekly and goes out walking and jogging as well. She is one tuff newborn. We are thankful she is so healthy so that we were able to do all of these things.

May is a special family name

Many of you know Paisley's middle name is May. May is the middle name of Paisley's great grandma Norma. This picture was a special day with Grandma Norma May. We took Paisley to see grandma at the rest home where she lives. Grandma Norma had a very bad case of dementia (forget the spelling) and does not talk or understand much anymore. She doesn't leave her bad and doesn't respond much to anyone anymore. My dad is ver good at getting her to respond some with her eyes adn maybe a word or two here and there but it doesn't happen very often. My aunts don't hear her say anything anymore. Anyway, when we put Paisley in front of my grandma's face, her eyes lite up. Paisley seem to stare back as well. Not only was the eye contact special but grandma talked. Grandma said she was beautiful and when we asked her where the name May came from she smiled and said, "me". Paisley started to make noises and again grandma spoke...she said, "she's trying to say something". At the end when we were about to leave we told grandma to give her a kiss, and again, she responded. This a picture with the two of them. It was so cute, a moment that we will never forget and we will have to remember to share with Paisley always.

CONVERTED!!!!

I AM OFFICIALLY CONVERTED!! There are two schools I never thought I would be apart of or cheer for but I am proud to say they both have a lot influence in my life right now.
BYU FOOTBALL is part of our weekly saturday schedule. Our lives on saturday revolve around the games and Kurt of course started that in our family because, believe it our not, years ago I would have been cheering for the Utes but now it is all BYU. It has been fun to get so into the games and I am very proud of their great football team. It is always fun to watch someone that is good. Kurt gets so into the games with his family and loves checking out their standing on espn.com with his brother.

As for the other school...I never thought I would call myself a dart with brown and yellow for their colors but I do now. I am trying to finish up my student teaching to be able to get my teaching liciense and I have been assigned to teach PE and spanish at Davis High...Go darts. It was wierd to get my first Davis shirt and wear it. I felt like a very big trader but I will forever be a Viking I just have to make an exepting for a little while. I spent a lot of my high school sport days bringing down the darts and wanting to do anything to beat them. Now, when I go to a sports game I don't know which team to cheer for. It has still been a great experience and I am surprised to hear myself say it is a great school after all. :)

Produce the size of Paisley

Kurt and I have enjoyed living in his parents house while they are on their mission and one thing we especially enjoy is the garden we get to take care of. It is a lot of work but we are blessed with a lot of food. Sometimes the produce grows larger than we can handle and something like this happens. We couldn't resist comparing this zucinni to Paisley. I think the zucinni wins!

Welcome to the world Paisley May

Paisley was born on Saturday morning, August 16th at 6:31 am. She was 8 pounds 9 ounces and 21 inches long. She is a bueatiful new addition to our family. Here is a picture of her right after she was born.
This is a picture of our new little family at the hospital. Everything went well and we are happy to have our little Paisley.

Mini Mission Reunion

I went to one of my mission friends wedding this week with a few other of my companions. I had a really neat experience at the temple with my companions. While we were waiting our mission president and his wife walked in who had just returned from Guatemala the day before. It was a very emotional time for all of us and a moment I will not forget. They are very special people and it was fun to see them again. this a picture of us missionaries at the reception. All 5 of us and a few others were very close on the mission and it was fun to be together again and chat with the president. It made it a extra special day.

This is a little bit of our slip n slide experience at the Johnsons. We always have a little time for just the adults to play on it. This year we made the jump really big, you can tell by some of these pictures. We had a good time. I even had to try going down 8 months pregnant. But don't worry, I just went down on my knees, it was fun!
