Tumble Weed Hide-out

These brothers sure know how to have fun. This is how I found them. They had backpacks full of toys and snacks. They were convinced that I wouldn't find them, but the misplaced giant tumble weeds gave them away. (that and their giggles)

I love our back yard. Boys, get to be boys and boy do I LOVE these boys.

Trampoline Slumber

The kids and I slept out on our tramp for the first time. They loved how the sky filled with stars. We pointed out airplanes and shooting stars. Jett was the first one to fall asleep. (He always is) It took Josie quite a while to settle her excitement. She loved every minute of it and talked the night away. She didn't understand why Jett would be sleeping at a time like this. She would poke at him trying to wake him up and then just laugh. I love that she wanted to share her excitement with him. I have great memories of sleeping outside with my brother, sisters and mom (when we could talk her into it). It is awesome for me to see these memories developing for my own kids. We had a blast and can't wait to do it again.

Back to School

Boden and Jett started school about three weeks ago. This has change our house hold a lot. It has been very quiet around the house. To be honest, I have dreamed of peace and quiet, and then all of the sudden I have it and I'm not sure i like it. The boys love going to school, but I miss them terribly. What does one do with all this quiet time. I guess maybe I could finally work on our acre of weeds or catch up on this years blogging:)

Jett started a new preschool this year and loves his new teacher. This is his last year of preschool. He doesn't go until the afternoon, but he will ask me if it's time for school first thing in the morning. This little question gets repeated every five minutes until we are loaded up and on our way. This picture totally captures his enthusiasm.
Boden is in first grade this year. I really dislike that my little man is away at school all day long now. I better get used to it though, right? His teacher name is Mrs. Moore which is kind of neat, because that was the name of my first grade teacher. He seems to be tired when he gets home, but hopefully we will both adjust to the full day school. When I ask him what he did at school he will tell me all about finding his friends at recess and what he had for lunch.

I'm so grateful to be the mother of these boys. I'm not a fan of them growing at such a fast pace, but I love being a part of it.

P stands for Pretty in Pink, Preschool Parade, Primary Program, & Proud Parents

Josie looked so pretty in her pink dress so I decided to take some pictures. I am not very good at taking decent pictures, but Josie makes it hard to prove that point. She is very photogenic.

Jett's preschool had a float in the Swiss Days Parade. He didn't want to be in the parade at first and looked pretty sad until he saw us cheering for him. He ended up loving it and told me that he changed his mind. He was so cute and seemed so big riding down the street waving. What a proud moment for us.

Our ward had their primary program. This is Bodens last year as a sunbeam. The primary leaders in our ward do such an awesome job with the children. They sent home these lime green bow ties for the boys and matching flowers for the girl's hair. They all looked so cute. My little man nailed his part telling us who he was and who was in his family and even though he is not a fan of singing, he sang the parts of the songs that he knew. I couldn't have been prouder. I know I had a big cheesy grin on my face through the whole meeting. I flashed him a few I love you signs and he would get the big cheesy grin on his face. Again another proud moment. p.s. please mind the mess in the back ground we are trying to get ready for our big move. I will post about that some other time.

Farewell to Summer

Aw! Family. I just can't imagine where my life would be at right now, if I hadn't married Ty, and we didn't have our kids. They make life so much more enjoyable. Life would be such a drag without them. This summer has been a memorable one for us. Our love just seems to keep on growing.

We took another trip to Gunlock. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows.

Boden caught this Stink Bug, that he named Stinky. He built Stinky a little home with lots of things for him to climb on. It was pretty funny because the stink bug actually seemed content to stick around and play in his new home.

Jett started his first year of pre-school. He has been wanting to go ever since Boden started 2 years ago.

Boden started Kindergarten. They dressed in a certain color for the 1st 2 weeks. We thought it would be fun to do it with him. Here we are on black day.

I always thought it was funny that moms cried when there kids went to Kindergarten. I just didn't understand. I definitely got teary eyed. It was hard to leave him there. He suddenly seemed so much bigger.

"good bye mom" this is where the tears started.

Boden's teacher does a reward system where she gives blue sticks for being good and red sticks for being naugty. If you get 5 blue sticks the you can pick a prize out of a treasure box.

Boden was the first kid to get 5 blue sticks. We were so proud of him. We took him to Pirate Pizza to celebrate.

One afternoon Boden was helping me do the dishes. Jett kept telling us he had drew a picture for boden. We didn't think more of it and forgot about it. Little did we know he drew his picture for Boden on the side of the kitchen cabinet. That little stinker.
