The Christmas Visit!

Noah and Emily came to visit and spend the night. They played peek-a-boo in and out of the play house windows and doors, and laughed and laughed at each other. You can see Noah's subtly amused view of his silly sister in this picture.

We made and decorated cookies, read Christmas stories, went for a walk looking at decorations, made a Christmas card for mom and dad, colored, saw Christmas lights, and had all kinds of fun.

They are both sound asleep now- maybe visions of sugarplum are dancing?! Whatever, it is peace for all right now :)

The grandkids came to stay for a few days!

Emily and Noah came to stay and play for a few days. They had fun in the playhouse, took walks with us, went to the Fall Festival, played at the park, etc. etc. Uncle Brian generously came and babysat for a couple hours Saturday so Papa Frank could help a friend and I could attend a monthly meeting. We all had lots of fun. Emily wanted to know if my pedometer told her when it was time to go to bed! Needless to say, we got lots of exercise!




Papa Frank bought a huge ball for them at the Fall Festival. We had to explain it is one fourth Emily's, one fourth Noah's, one fourth mom's and one fourth dad's.

Happy Easter Everyone!

What a fun beautiful spring day. We gathered for Easter. Here are Pete and Noah- like father, like son- squinty faces- it was sunny after all!

Emily was ready to hunt, and she did a good job as you can see by her basket!


Now she needs to brush her teeth with her new toothbrush after all that candy.

Easter Break

Yeah! It's spring break, I am so excited! Emily came to play and she loves the garden. It is such a pretty time of year, she is as pretty as the flowers! She loves the swing.

I see you!

She just wanders around spinning things, petting the metal dog, digging in the dirt, picking flowers, having all kinds of fun. She ate a bunch- a whole apple, 2 sticks of string cheese, half a grilled cheese sandwich, crackers, etc. We went for a walk and bought Grandpa some seeds for the garden.

Then we dyed Easter eggs and discovered the magic of a white crayon. She is so intent!

The munchkins visit

Pete and Erica celebrated their anniversary, so Emily and Noah came to visit for a couple of days. Looking at the sweet girl below, it would be hard to imagine she wanted to go to the dump with Grandpa and Grandma, but she did. We went on walks, played in the yard, sang songs, read stories, got Mexican bowls for supper, ate fun foods, went to church etc. etc. The dress was for church, but we went out in the yard to enjoy the flowers- she loves flowers, and they both love music. Noah is getting around quite well these days, and has a great appetite! I got some quiet one on one time with him at 6am Sunday and we cuddled and sang songs and read books. We made a special bed for Emily and she got to take a glow in the dark wand to bed with her. They were great kids and we had a very fun visit!


Emily wanted to put the rose in her dress band, but it was sewed shut so she carried it instead.

We made soup, helped dig in the garden, danced, sang songs, went for a walk, had all kinds of fun!

Hal comes to visit so of course we went to Yosemite!

Frank's the only one who would go sledding of course! Very cold, very pretty, lots of fun with Hal, daughter Sara, Frank and Lesley
