Hi...

Hi Y'all....

Uhm...its me, Lexie. Any body remember me? Anybody?

I am so sorry to have abandoned this blog for some time. I really did miss blogging all about my little Peanut Roo Roo.

Since coming home from Africa I have been so busy...
So I have only been updating this blog

I have to admit...its been kinda nice taking a break from here.

So until I decide to come back to blogging here....keep reading about my time in Africa at www.hereiam-lordsendme.blogspot.com. And you can read allllll about the Peanut Roo Roo at my moms blog www.karleighmei.blogspot.com.

Hope y'all are having a great summer!!
Until Next Time.

Home :)

I am home! Very bitter sweet to be home. Sweet because I missed my family SO MUCH, and it is great to be back in my own room (which by the way, my mom completely cleaned out and organized. yea, she rocks). And I can't get enough of Karleigh Mei. But bitter at the same time because I miss Africa and my team so much. Nobody ever warned me when I signed up for going with a team from out of state how hard it would be to say good bye! I cried and cried the whole way out of the airport. And then cried some more. I am already trying to figure out ways of how to see them again this summer :) I have so many stories to share...but for now...pictures. These pictures are NOT my pictures. These were taking by Taylor (whom i miss terribly). I have not been able to upload my own pictures yet, because the airport lost the bag that it is in (ugh). So for now...some pictures of my time there.

This is the amazing girl behind all of these pictures. She is beautiful and so much fun!

Emma is just as sweet and fun as her mom talks about on the blog...we had fun together :)
The kitchen we were building.

Much more to follow....

ToMoRrOw!!ToMoRrOw!!

Tomorrow is the DAY! Afffrrrrriiiiicaaaaaa.

I don't even really have any words for this day.... Other than, I can't believe I finally made it to this day!!

only about 13 more hours till me and my daddy drive to dallas...where he will then drop me off at the airport and i will meet my group! yipppeee! can't wait to meet each of them!! then we will fly to england...and have a 12 hour layover, which means...we'll get to tour england some!! And then on the plane again for another 8 hours...and then...LAND IN UGANDA!! And it will be 7 a.m. when we land! A whole day ahead of us!! I did the math...and from the time I wake up tomorrow till the time I lay my head down on a pillow in Uganda....52 hours!!!!! I hope I can sleep on the plane!

Only 1 problem...I haven't exactly packet yet.
BYE!

p.s. i had some people ask...will you be blogging in africa?? i don't believe so. but i will have LOTS of picture and stories to share when i return! :D

Thankful Thursday!

First off...is she beautiful or whhhaattt??
I have so much going on this week. So much stress. And as a teacher of mine mentioned today...the best cure for being stressed is to be thankful!! So here goes...

1) Thankful for the fact that I only have 2 more days of school!
2) Only 6 more days till Africa! I can not tell you how much joy Africa has already brought me...and I am not even there yet!! Just the thought of it puts a smile on my face.
3) For my amazing teachers this year. I have very special teachers and I love them dearly (though they do drive me crazy sometimes...but I am sure I drive them crazy too!).
4) For my mommy and daddy...Pretty and Citos ;)...for letting me take this crazy leap of faith and allowing me to fulfill my dream to go to Africa!!
5) For my sister, Katie, who will soon be moving out and getting married...sniff! I love it so much when she is home! We have so much fun.
6) For my brothers. What would one do with out little brothers?? I do believe everybody should have at least one little brother :)
7) And for lil missy...peanut...sassy pants...Karleigh Mei. I will miss her terribly when I am in Africa. Luckily I will find me lots of little munchkins to love on there so that I am not too terribly deprived of hugs and kisses from little ones.

Well, that was just a few...now I am off to study for my Anatomy and Geometry finals!!
