More Random Quotes

I've been saving up these quotes for a whole year.   I figured I needed to post this before the year was over.

January 2015:

Filling out something for school: "What's your most proud moment?"....In a sarcastic voice Ava says,"When I watched tv all day."

(I honestly can't remember the context of this one, but I thought it was funny at the time.) "I know your name because I've been watching you your whole life." -Lola

"DON'T.HUG.MY.MOM." -Kit (Her dad was hugging me.)

"Did Jesus make plastic too?" -Ava

"The only fun part about that ride was unbuckling my seatbelt." -Lola

"What's Gandolf's name?"-Kit

At chick-fila Lola and Ava run out from the kid's play room and say, "Kit needs to pee!".  Then Kit bursts through the door and says, "I NEED TO POO".  Everyone around us in the restaurant started laughing.

February 2015:

Conversation with the carpet man:
Man: "What's your name?"
Kit: "Kit... K-I-T."
Man: "How old are you?"
Kit: "May 8th."
Man: "I'll guess. Are you 3?"
Kit: "I can hop like a bunny."

Kit: "Dad, I like your ears, your disgusting ears."

While hiking and holding Kit, I said, "It's sure getting steep." Kit tries to copy and says, "It sure is getting steamy."

Me (While playing dolls): "Hi, I'm Starlight."
Kit: "Hi, I'm "Prettier Starlight."

Kit's made up words: "Extilate" and "Spongilate"

Lola: "Do you want some perfume?" (hands me a little bottle.)
Me: "EW, this stinks."
Lola: "Yeah, well,  it eventually rots."

Me: "I love you."
Kit: I love you too...and I love someone else..."
Me: "Who?"
Kit: "Jesus Christ."

Kit: (After hearing all the ice cream choices.) "I'll take the evil sadness ice cream!"  (The name was "Medieval madness.")


April 2015:

Ava was telling me about a book she was going to read and said, "These twins must be nocturnal." (meaning: Fraternal.)


May 2015:

Ava: "This is the worst day ever."
Lola: "There are going to be worse."

While walking around Berkeley,  I say, "Look! There's a free pile of stuff over there." Kit says, "I hope it's not gluten free!"

"That super old car looks like it's from the 90's." -Lola

August 2015:

"Red hair grandma....She has red hair?..That's interesting." -Kit

"I wish I was a bear.... then I wouldn't have to go to church." -Kit

 September-November 2015

"Mom, I want some Life cereal because it's sugary!" -Kit

Casually Kit says, "Someone forgot their corn juice." (In front of the library we saw a full bottle of juice with seeds of some kind floating in it.)

Lola: "Sometimes I wonder if I'm really the only person alive and if everyone around me are robots."
Ava: "Yeah, sometimes I wonder if I'm asleep or awake or dreaming."

Kit saying a prayer: "Please bless me to remember everyone's name in school.  Help me to not show my bum or do this (bum shaky dance)."   (I promise she doesn't have any weird issues....this one was out of the blue.)

"My friend can draw poop sooooo good." -Lola

Kit: "This is a picture of a camel."
Me: "What are these dots for?"
Kit: "They're just for awesome."

Kit saying a prayer: "Come bless the people in the yard and the plants won't die....Come bless the glass stuff that they won't break."

Mom Memories

Mom Memories- Just a tiny snip of silly things I remember about my mom.

I remember the sound of your foot steps that let me know you were coming down the hall or the stairs. (Seriously, your footsteps have a certain sound.)
I remember how you would sneeze 6 or more times in a row.
I remember you letting me stay up past my bedtime if I was scratching your back.
I remember going out to Chinese food when Dad was out of town....(or you would fix macaroni and cheese, or cream tuna.)
I remember the way you would answer the phone. It didn't matter if you were mad.  You always sounded happy when you answered the phone.
I remember you helping me with my homework every day after school.  One time I did all the wrong math problems and when I realized I was so upset that I wasted all that time. So you did the right ones for me.  I got a note from the teacher that said, "Is this your hand writing?"
I remember the excuses you would make for me when I didn't want to go to a sleepover or on a date.  (I must have gotten my anti-social-ness from you.)
I remember back-to-school shopping and fashion shows in the family room.
I remember when you would make carmel popcorn and spread it out on the counter to harden and we would always eat it before it was ready.
I remember one time you yelled at me (I probably did something naughty), but you said, "You know I still love you".
I remember you would want the downstairs tidy so you would stack all our stuff up on the stairs.  You were always puzzled that we would never take our stuff up on the way by.
I remember when you told us not to say the word "crap" and when we got older you would pretend to be shocked when we said it.
I remember listening to oldies in the car with you.
I remember playing restaurant during summer.  You would make us lunch and serve it to us.  I don't know how that was different than regular, but we loved it.
I remember the way you laughed when you were with your sister.
I remember your chocolate stash in your nightstand that we would sneak.
I remember how our house felt during Christmastime...decorated with holly up the stairs, and christmas sheep.
I remember you always being home for me.  I would just have to yell for you (which you hated...you'd say "just come find me"), but you'd be there.
I remember always feeling loved and how you would call me a peacemaker.  Now I call Lola and Ava peacemakers...and girl pearls....and gorillas....just like you called us.
