Day 8 - Suzhou / Shanghai

It was finally day 8 and we were scheduled to depart Shanghai via SQ flight at 7plus in the evening.. We woke up early today and hurriedly packed our luggage. I went around our gals' room for final checking before bringing the room cards for checkin out at the hotel lobby. I had my usual dosage of bee hoon and fried egg for breakfast at the hotel lobby, reminded the gals to go toilet.. And off we went... The bus uncle drove us to our final destination in Suzhou... A beautiful water town, Luzhi.. I was totally captivated by the beauty and peacefulness of this old ancient town...

After a hearty lunch, we departed Suzhou and headed back to Shanghai.. We were supposed to catch the Shanghai Maglev Train from Long Yang Station to Shanghai Pudong Airport. I was kinda excited as i heard that the train can travel up to 431km/hr.. And true enough....

The ride took a mere 6-7 minutes before reaching Pudong Airport =) We had some time to do some last min shoppin at the airport so i went around getting some goodies and souvenirs for my family... On the flight back home, i was feeling much more relaxed and was able to enjoy some of the in-flight entertainment=) Though it was really tiring, i had done my best in taking care of the gals and they would be back safe and sound in sg in 5 hrs time... I hoped that they had fun and brought back unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime =)

Day 7 - Suzhou

Its the last day of school for the gals and also our second last day in China=) I was feeling kinda excited as i was missing my family, my room, my bed... Can't wait to fly back to sg and jump straight into bed and have my beauty sleep=) The bed in Suzhou hotel was so hard that i can't have proper rest every nite..

Anyway, our gals exchanged farewell gifts with their friends from China.. There were some performances put up by our gals as well as the China students.. I marvelled at some of the performances by the China students... They are really a talented lot with a bright future=)

On day 6 in Suzhou, our gals reported to school at ard 7plus and went for their lessons.. After which, i was exploring their library and managed to do some reading for a little while.. It was quality time spent as i could do my own reading and had my own personal time for that short period.. Then, we attended a teacher sharing conference with China teachers. Most were very experienced teachers and a couple of HODS were present too.. We exchanged ideas on the school life, school environment, students etc... After school ended at ard 1pm, we had our lunch in school and headed for our destination, Hanshan Temple. It is also known as "Cold Mountain Temple" .

Day 5 - Suzhou

On day 5, girls have to attend class at a local primary school in Suzhou. We reported at 7am in the morning so as to witness their flag raising ceremony!

After school ended at 1.30pm, we visited Panmen City Gate. This place really lived up to its name as National AAAA Tourist Area. It has so many scenic spots and i was just clicking non-stop on my cam=)

After dinner, we proceeded to the last stop of the day, Garden of the Master of the Nets. It is quite an impressive place with many, many walkways, many many gardens and many, many rooms.. There are different type of performances being put up in each different room as well.

Day 4 - Our very first day in Suzhou

If i had remembered correctly, the ride from Shanghai to Suzhou took abt 3hours. Weather is slightly warmer than Shanghai but still cooling.. =) First day in Suzhou was rather boring to me.. hahah... Girls went for tea plucking and some pottery classes and i had absolute zero interest in all these activities.. Nearly died of boredom and lack of sleep...

Day 3 Shanghai / Suzhou

Girls were especially excited as we visited Shanghai Wild Animal Park. The zoo is divided into a walking area and a bus riding area. We took the bus route and had the chance to be real close to all the different wild animals. We can see bears roaming right next to our bus and tigers taking their leisure nap among the grasses.
