First Day of School!!!

Kaleb started Pre-K this year. He has been in school about two weeks now & I still cannot believe that he is old enough for this! He is so excited & loves school! I was afraid that he would be upset on the first day, but it turns out Mom was the only one that cried! It was so strange to come home with just Kaylee. The house seemed so quiet! We had a roller coaster first week with his teacher being out sick & major issues with getting home on the bus, but everything is finally settling down. I am so proud of my little guy!

Cheyenne Trip

It has once again been way too long since I have updated this blog! I am always disappointed when my friend's don't have an update about what is going on in their lives, but I am so bad at keeping my own updated! In July, we were able to take a trip to Wyoming to visit Kurt's family. I took a continuing education class in Denver, so we decided to stay a while and make a vacation out of the trip. Here are a few of the things we were able to see and do-

We spent a day at the Denver Zoo.

We got to feed the birds!

Kaleb's favorite part of the zoo was the gorillas. He is always disappointed that the zoo in Tulsa does not have a gorilla.

We visited Casa Bonita in downtown Denver. It is much bigger and way more exciting than the one in Tulsa. They have a huge waterfall & pool in the center and a guy comes out and performs trick dives about every 15 minutes. Here is Kaylee and Dad behind the waterfall.

We did a little miniature golfing- one of Kaleb's favorite things to do.

We soaked in a little sunshine (thankfully not as warm as it was back home)

Our summer so far....

It has been quite a while since I have posted an update! This post took me several days because I get impatient waiting for pictures to load! We have been busy so far this summer. Here is a glimpse of what we have been up to-

Kaleb's T-ball- Kaleb played for the first time this year. He loved it! I got my first taste of organized sports & it wasn't the most pleasant experience :) It was all worth it because he enjoyed it so much.

This is one of the few moments when he was actually aware there was a game going on when he was in the field. What is it about the dirt on a baseball field that is so interesting??

Branson Trip- We took a trip to Branson with Kurt's parents at the end of May. This picture is from the miniature golf course that we played at. Kaleb got two hole in ones!! One of them was on the mystery hole for the day so he won a free game!

Kurt & Lin went golfing one morning so Pinkey & I took the kids to the zoo in Springfield.

The zoo was small, but fun. They had an awesome giraffe exhibit & Kaleb got to feed the giraffes!!



And then the giraffe stuck his tongue out at us- how rude! Ha- I don't know why, but I love this picture:)

It wouldn't be summer around here without a trip to the kiddie park! This was Kaylee's first trip & she loved it just as much as Kaleb! She cried when the rides were over :)

Kaylee's First Birthday!!

We recently celebrated Kaylee's first birthday. It is hard for me to believe how fast the past year has gone by! Here are a few pics from her party:

Sesame Street Live

Last Thursday, my sister & I took the boys to see Sesame Street Live! It was always a tradition in our family & we have continued it with our kids. We went to eat at Casa Bonita before heading to the show. As you can see the boys were really excited!

Pam & I fell for the parent trap & bought the boys really overpriced souvenirs! It was worth it to see how much fun they had!

11 Months Old!!

Kaylee is 11 months old! I can't believe how fast the time is flying by! I just love my sweet little girl! She is definitely her own person & knows what she wants! I call her our little diva. She has decided that walking is her preferred mode of transportation & rarely crawls anymore. She adores her big brother & often follows him around the house. Just this month, she has started sleeping through the night a little more, but not every night. She is so different than her brother in this area who slept through the night by 4 months. I think I flunked round 2 of babywise :) I am so blessed to have my two beautiful children & I love watching them change & grow- I just wish I could slow time down just a little! Here are some recent pictures of our little princess-

Uncle Tyler, Aunt Kari, and cousins Logan & Brody got Kaylee a purse for Christmas. She was carrying it all aroung the house the other night. She was ready to go shopping!

Playhouse Disney Live!!

On Valentines Day, we took the kids to see Playhouse Disney Live. We did not tell Kaleb where we were going, so he was very surprised when we arrived to see Mickey! It was a great afternoon- here are some pics from the show.

We bought the "cheap seats" which happened to be the box section. Kaleb was able to see just fine & there was a great area just behind our seats that Kurt was able to take Kaylee to during the show. It worked out perfectly.

This is how Kaylee spent most of the show. She was tired from playing at church that morning. Kurt is just pretending to sleep

Kaylee is Walking!!!!

Kaylee has been trying to walk for quite a while, but this past week, she has really started taking off. Walking is now her preferred mode of transportation. I took the video below with my digital camera & I cannot figure out how to flip it the right direction. Until I become more technologically advanced, kindly turn your head sideways & be proud of my little girl along with me :)

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Kaleb & I made Valentine cookies today & then delivered them to several neighbors. Kaleb was
in charge of the sprinkles- can you tell??

Here is a picture of the Valentines that we made this year. I saw the idea in a magazine. We took a picture of Kaleb & glued googly eyes on his eyes. We also glued a piece of paper on the picture that said "I only have EYES for you." Kaleb though it was so much fun. Every time, I see this picture, it makes me laugh. It is a little freaky too, especially when you have several lined up together.

Hope that everyone enjoys Valentine's Day with the ones you love. We are planning to spend the day together as a family. We are heading to church in the morning, then off to Playhouse Disney Live! Kaleb has no idea yet, he is going to be so excited!!
