Malie has PARVO!

I am really worried about my sweet puppy Malie. She lost her appetite about a week ago. Her appetite got progressively worse until Monday I saw her vomiting. I thought it was just because she had drank too much at one time. Tuesday morning I went out to feed her & she seriously looked like death. She looked like she had dropped 20 pounds overnight, her eyes all sunken in & her jowels were sunk in, too. I took her to the vet on Tuesday & found out she has parvo! She was vaccinated for it 2 times, but still got it. She has improved with IV fluids & antibiotics, but she still won't eat. Anyway... we're hoping for the best!

***Update*** 5/2/09 Malie was able to come home today. She isn't eating a whole lot, but is able to keep food & water down. She has to take anti-nausea & antibiotics for 7 days, but she should be just fine. What a relief!

Spring Break 2009

Spring Break was supposed to be in Manti so the boys could go motorbiking on the white hills, but the weather didn't permit. We ended up going to St. George for 4 days. Luke and his brother Clay went motorbiking for a couple days.

I went shopping at the outlet mall. They had a gymboree outlet and I really scored there. It was quite fun. We also went miniature golfing at a family fun park. It was so entertaining to watch the kids trying to get that tiny ball in a tiny hole. The family fun park also had an indoor playground. The kids had a good time playing on that. Brittney and I also took the kids to a water park (not slides, but just some water in a park) that they had a fun time at.

The last day we went to Zion National Park. I lived in Utah my whole life growing up and NEVER had been to Zions. It was a pretty cold day unfortunately. It was not the most amazing thing that I have ever seen, but it was definitely worth seeing.
