Tis the Season for Chritmas Card Receiving...

Well, our family has our photo, now it's time to pick our fun Christmas card design. December is here and I want to get these in the mail ASAP!

My boys and I love going to the mailbox during the month of December. We look forward to opening up the mail in anticipation of receiving some beautiful Christmas cards. It’s great to hear from family and friends both near and far. As it's always exciting to see how individuals have changed over the past year.

In the south, Christmas cards are a BIG deal! They really are a gift in themselves! Each card our family receives is proudly displayed on our kitchen cabinet doors. This way we can enjoy them each and every day during the Christmas season!

This year I personally am planning to use Shutterfly for our families Christmas card. I'm really excited about all the designs they have to choose from.

Happy Halloween Y'all...

What a great afternoon of Halloween Festivities we had! We headed to the Thomson's around 4 to begin carving our pumpkins and getting ready to go Trick or Treating with . While the dad's helped carve pumpkins, the mom's were busy making Chili and Chicken-n-Dumplings. It was a fun time had by all! With a total of 8 kids(Malboeuf's, Thomson's and Giglielmo's), everyone was in the Halloween spirit. From a Dr, Cat, Good and Bad Witches to even Football Player's, the kids were dressed to impress. After Trick or Treating and eating till our tummies were full, we all settled in for a great Yankee's Game. We let the kids stay up till the game was over and believe it or not they all managed too! It was probably in part by the sugar high from all the candy consumed during the night. Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable evening...

Happy 2nd Birthday!

Yes, Summer has come and gone and I have not posted a thing... I promise to update many post and photo's in the near future.

But before we had kids our dog Addison was our baby. On her first Birthday I went all out with a party to celebrate. Things have changed now that I have boys to plan parties for. However, I can't let the day go by without wishing Maddie a Happy 2nd Birthday! Let's hope 2's for dogs our nothing like Terrible 2's for the boys!

Beach and Lobster Fest...

Brian and I had the pleasure of going to Kure Beach this past weekend to visit a co-worker of Brian's, Brinley and her husband Jeff. We left Friday night once the boys were situated as my parents did the honors of watching them as well as Maddie. We arrived just in time to watch most of the Hockey game and boy was Jeff excited to see the Penguins win! Saturday Brian and I got up early and took a nice long bike ride on there beach cruisers, and boy will they cruise! Before we realized it we had gone over five miles. Then we headed to the beach for a day full of sun. The weather was so nice. Both Brian and I relaxed reading magazines and soaking up the sun. Later in the afternoon, Brian attempted to learn how to surf. Jeff is a great surfer and was very willing to show Brian the ins and outs of surfing. As you can tell from the below photo's, the waves were not that great, thus Brian was never able to get up. Later that evening we enjoyed Lobsters flown in from Maine. This was Brian and Brinley's Christmas present from their boss Mike. And we definitely all enjoyed it! Sunday we rode bikes again and headed to the beach prior to packing up and heading home. We had a great trip, but were excited to return home and see the boys! Enjoy a few photo's from the weekend below;

Carter's Award Ceremony for 1st Grade...

I can't believe today Carter has officially completed first grade! It seems like just yesterday we were walking him to his Kindergarten class. Wow, the time sure does fly! I was able to attend his awards celebration, and boy was I proud, Carter received the Math Wiz award. For anyone close to Carter, "Are you surprised?" Carter has come a long way this past year and Brian and I are so proud of all he has accomplished. Thanks also be to his tutor, Oma. Not only is today Carter's last day of first grade, but also his last day at Union Cross. Next year he will attend Caleb's Creek, a brand new school in our district. We are so excited for this change and look forward to all he will encounter in second grade. Below are a few photo's taken from his class today;

Take me out to the Ball Game...

Sadly, our baseball season has come to an end... Carter played his last season game Tuesday night followed by a tournament today. We have had so much fun cheering for all the players and watching them develop over the season. Carter, if I must say is quite a little ball player. As both his coaches have stated he is very competitive in the sport and very versatile as to which position he plays. Most of his time was spent either on 1st, short, or 3rd base. He has asked to attend baseball camp this summer which is the first week of his summer break. It will be interesting to see him play again next season in Machine Pitch.
