Summer comes to an end

This summer has flown by. We have had the perfect summer. Lots of trips to the lake/beach, pool, sno cone lady and just hanging out! I remember summers as a kid being the same way. Just layed back, relaxing and fun. I am not one to over-schedule my girls. So there were no summer camps or scheduled activities. Don't get me wrong there were times here and there I wanted to send them away... but when all is said and done I know our summers like this are limited so I try to take full advantage.

The girls start school in 2 weeks. Honestly I am feeling a bit of anxiety about this! I am excited for them to both be in school. I will have a minute to myself every now and again. I am excited to watch them learn and grow. I am thankful for the school they will go to! BUT for the past almost 8 years I have had a little person by my side. Someone who needed me. I know they are not moving away to college but I feel a bit of a hole in my heart! All I show on the outside is excitement for them though! I know they will do good things... they truly are good girls. I am thankful Olivia has such an amazing big sister to look up to! She is excited to start school and be just like Hailey!

As for me and my health... all is well! I have been exercising like crazy to get my body back into shape so I can start teaching again. My knee is doing better than ever and I couldn't be happier about that. This winter was truly the hardest of my life. Watching things go on without me was so hard. Not knowing if I would ever make it back to the strength I wanted was scary. But all is well now and I have some great opportunities coming my way. I am starting to teach spin and I will be running a volleyball class for home schooled kids as well. I will stay busy for sure!

We are looking forward to the last 2 weeks of summer and looking forward to a great year in school for the girls.

Oh... and Kenney... he's awesome. As always!

Livy got glasses

She is too cute in them! She wanted glasses just like her daddy!

4th of July

This 4th of July was not the same as last years. Nothing will ever top what we experienced in DC I imagine BUT we love Texas and truly feel at home here. To make it better we had visitors! Ray and Dorothy came to see us! They too fell in love with Texas! We're working on getting all our families to move here!! They were here for about a week and we had a great time. On the 4th it rained all day... that didn't stop us from getting out and enjoying the day!
(Last year my grandma got moved into an assisted living home. She is doing great there. When she moved out of her home I got some great fabric that she had in her basement. I made the girls some dresses with some of the fabric.)

Here they are all soaked and happy as can be!
There was a little rock climbing wall... Olivia lasted 2 seconds...
Hailey made it to the top...
My sweetie and I...
Beautiful mother-in-law Dorothy...
Are they 2 peas in a pod or what??!! Love that Ray!!

Girls being silly...

I love these guys!!

We can't wait to see you guys in December as well!!

Last day of 1st grade

Hailey on the last day of school. I can't believe how fast time is flying!! She had an amazing year at school this year and she looks forward to many more at this school!! End of year 1st grade carnival!
Learning to play tennis...
Water games...
On her way back to class. Hailey loved her teacher... we loved her too!!
Can't wait to see what 2nd grade brings!

Field Day

At the end of the year Hailey had her Field day at school! She had so much fun! Kenney took the morning off and we all went to watch! This was at the end of the day... all tuckered out! After the water balloon toss!

Toothless Grin

In June Olivia lost her first tooth. In fact her bottom two teeth came out one right after another! She was quite pleased! And I must say, she looks adorable!!

All good things must come to an end

Back in April my parents came to visit! It's always so great to see family... and always so hard to say goodbye. The girls had a blast while they were here. Papa plays a mean game of tag and grandma is always right there in the mix! We went to the Dallas Aquarium while they were here. Very cool place! My beautiful parents... My beautiful family...
My beautiful smile! Kenney thinks so too!!
Looking at the fish...
Having fun!
We can't wait to see you in December!

Easter Best

Grandma and Grandpa Abbott started a tradition a few years ago suiting the girls from head to toe in the fanciest attire! I must say they are beautiful girls and we really like this tradition!! Thanks Granny and Papa!!
