no food please.

The ONLY time when I shun the sight of food is after a buffet. Like today. After I was done with my last bite, I was thoroughly exhausted. Not from walking around, helping myself to everything available or chewing. All the blood just rushed to my stomach. I started yawning and tearing. Like a typical pig sadly.

I find that I get bored of things easily. Very easily. Even delicacies get boring after a while. Lobsters became tasteless, so did salmon sashimi. Mahjong gets boring after the second wind. Shopping gets boring after 3km. Is there anything in the world which can hold my attention? SIGH.

moment of thought

I was feeling bored while waiting for the Z monster to attack me. The late late supper decided to take longer than normal to digest. A short walk would do the trick. And so I walked around my room. I could not resist scrutinizing my NS photos for the umpteenth time. It was taken in another world. The world I am in now, is more complicated. The time when I was bald, nothing ran through my mind except the dread of wearing green every morning. Now that dread is replaced by other things.

Life is great, oh yeah! But all great things still have flaws. It is not by choice that I lament over how personal wants conflict with what is on offer. A marriage of interests never seem to happen. How do I put it? I do not think that what I am doing is wrong. Rather, what I am doing only acts to my detriment. Acting to my detriment is not wrong. There are other factors to consider. Now, I should throw aside all my concerns and be who I want to be. History will remain history and will only serve as a lesson, not shackles. It is time to start on a fresh piece of paper. It is time to begin writing a new story.

*burp*
To be honest, burping at 3.30am is not healthy. Neither is being wide awake at this hour. I have to pen this thought of mine to get a load off. I feel lighter already.

The long road....

Before time began, I wondered why people 'read' law in university. Now I understand. It literally means what it says. Nah... It can't be that boring. After all, we mostly read cases; interesting stories of disputes. It is not boring, except for the fact that it comes in the form of a more profound version of english. Somehow, the reporters, writers or judges like to show off their complicated yet impeccable command of english. We learn how to write in a direct and simple way in legal writing class. Apparently, it is not applied in the real world. There was one night I almost pulled my hair out trying to figure what the hell this guy wrote. Luckily, that was an isolated incident. In short, law school is heaven. Lawyers lie, lawyers-to-be do that too.

I started on my second stage of my looong road to recovery. I played netball yesterday! My foot held itself together. Not bad. Although it hurt a little, I guess it is just underworked still. My next aim is to resume tennis. Perspiring while exercising is such an ecstatic feeling. Perspiring while walking under the hot sun is unbearable.

I am so looking forward to recess week. Have to stop thinking of how to sue people for a week.

Update!

OH YES! I have a blog. I'm getting more and more reluctant to blog now. Readings are piling up. I will have to increase the degree of my spectacles soon.

Last friday was dinner at good old TJ. The moment I drove past the gates, I knew I was entering another time dimension. *ZIP*
I'm back to 2003. Good old TJ. Good old canteen where we had our daily dose of western breakfast. For me, it was my second breakfast every morning. I loved the sausages. Good old "area under LT1". That was where all the lazing around occured. Pretending to sleep while secretly peeping at people going about their daily business.
Things have changed, but the feeling hasn't. The homecoming dinner. How appropriate. To be honest, I miss JC life very much. The bonds between friends are so much closer. Every place I went to, I think of all the things that happened there before. Every student I see, I think of the people in my batch. For that split second, before everything poofs into thin air, my heart felt heavy. That is life's charm. Though reluctant, I know that the good memories will always stay in my mind. I can't remember how many times I smiled secretly to myself that night. But I know for sure that it was heart-warming.

No school tomorrow and I am overjoyed. Normally, I would have taken the chance to pamper myself. Abnormally, I would catch up with work. The latter is applicable tomorrow. Still, I am tuning to holiday mode once I wake up. It will be a beautiful day.
