My Little Lover of Music

A Lot To Be Thankful For

We went to Tucson, AZ this Thanksgiving to be with the Brannon clan and it was a lot of fun! We hadn't been back to Arizona in quite a few years, and Mark's sister, Kathy, was kind enough to invite 15 people to come stay at her new house - so we went! With Kathy's family, that made 20 of us under one roof - phew! Then on Thanksgiving Day, more family came over for the big meal, making the count around 30 people - gasp! Kathy is a brave soul. All kidding aside, it was wonderful to have everyone there! Other than a fever the kiddos passed around on, it could not have been smoother. We are blessed beyond measure by our family.

So, I was a little anxious about a plane ride with an almost-2 yr old, but he did great! Nash and Mark got a good nap on the way over.

We had some family pictures done by a photographer since the whole gang was together. However, these next few were taken by Brandon, while we were between shots. I think these turned out pretty darn good!

You wouldn't know by this pic that he HAD to have a sucker in his hand at all times in order to cooperate in the least. He kept us on our toes that day! He's SO acting his age lately! But, how blessed are we to have a "normal", active, and smart little boy?!!! I thank the Lord every single day for my little turkey munchkin.

And, by the way, yes, I did get my hair cut. I was feeling adventurous and asked Jenny for rock-star hair. This is what became of it - I like the change!

A Fabulous Fall!

This past weekend Mark, Eric, Jill, and me went to his concert in Shreveport. It was a small, barely advertised concert - and it was AWESOME! We were sitting about 20 ft from the stage. I was so mad I left my camera at the house, so this was the only picture I got. But, since it was such a small venue, we got to chat with afterwards and he is such a nice guy! I was kinda swooning - he is my voice crush!

These next few are Nash on Halloween night. I made his costume last year and felt I just HAD to do it again this year. I'm kinda over that now! But, nevertheless - here's my little corn-on-the-cob. We went to the church festival and the costume lasted about an hour (thanks to a Tootsie pop) which is longer than I expected.

FOOD! He's still a good eater, all things considered. However, gone are the days when he would readily eat whatever you plop in front of him. He has a definite opinion! Thankfully, there are a few foods I often bribe him with so that he'll eat his veggies - and it works, for now!!!

We got to use Uncle Steve's jeep for about a week. Nash thought it was pretty awesome. Here he's clapping and saying, "Jeep! Jeep!"

He loves being outside so much that he drags his blankies out on the back porch and tries to sleep outside.

He had gone and dragged Mark to this corner and said, "Sit, Daddy. Play." How can anyone refuse that?

First Camping Trip

We took Nash on his first camping trip last weekend and it was quite the adventure! Ya know - pack-n-play in the tent, keeping Nash out of the fire, keeping Nash from eating rocks, playing with baby frogs, dodging rocks thrown by his friends, dumping a dirt-filled wagon on his head, showering in a bath house, etc... I know Nash loved every minute of it and you have never seen such a dirty boy! I'm sure there are plenty more camping trips in this boy's future.

Grayson came and played with us a few days last month while his babysitter was recovering from surgery. He and Nash play really well together!
