Evolution of a Black Eye
This is what it looks like when your eye collides with the back of an 8-year-old's head.
Here's the whole process:
Day 1
About 10 minutes after the big collision -- the swelling begins.
Day 2 -- The color spreads
Day 3 -- Full blown black eye -- just in time for the family photos
Day 4 -- Didn't think it could get darker, but it did!
Day 6 -- Starting to improve!
Day8 -- Still hanging on
Day 9 -- Getting better (also sorry for the awful hair!)
Day 12 -- Finally, just a shadow left:
It was definitely an adventure, and still hurts a little, even 3 months later.
And I'll admit....it made me feel kinda cool. :)
