TO BLOG OR NOT TO BLOG?!?!???

This has been my thought going through my head the past few months. I mean don't get me wrong I love sitting down and losing myself in the "Blog World." But... Not so sure how I am feeling about sharing the last crazy year with the world... There are just some people I don't want reading this... but since I am sure no one looks at my blog anymore I can't just set it to private. I gotta let all my blogging friends know I am back first. SO yes going private may be a change here soon. SO now as I have just caught up on reading everyone's blogs for the last hour or has it been 2?? ;) I think I have decided to post... Not sure what pictures I will be able to find for the past 10 months but we will see! Well I have so much to say and don't know where to begin. IF you will notice the last date I posted was OCT 3rd, 2010. Well that was 2 days before our world as we knew it changed very quickly. There was a huge hail storm here in the Valley and it ruined thousands of Roofs... So since we own a roofing company we were thrown into a whirl wind. A a good whirl wind but for a few months of it we had a lot of growing pains. We were a small family owned company and we had to grow really fast. We had already made some good changes to the company last summer and I feel like Heavenly Father had prepared us for this. WE now have 7 office girls and at one time had about 15 salesmen/estimators now we only have about 8 & then lot of actual roofers. WOW I know... It sounds unreal to me too. ;)

We started out with an Office Manager but since that did not work out guess who got that position. YUP you guessed it... ME!!!! The whole thing has been a learning experience in a lot of ways. We have really learned who are true friends are and who never were are friends and then we have also made GREAT new friends and really appreciate their friendship through it all. I've grown a lot and things that use to matter to me really don't matter anymore. I guess that just means I've grown up.

Well things we have done since our lives became so crazy include....

Brett went to Wyoming hunting last October. He was actually gone when the storm hit so he didn't get to see the craziest storm of the century... But he was lucky enough to get an antelope tag and a deer tag and went up to Wyoming with his good friend/cousin Aaron who also had a deer tag... AND Luckily enough all 3 tags were filled... YAY I was so excited and proud of them. They were gone for a LONG 2 weeks but Jodi and I survived and were glad that had something to bring home.

Brett & His antelope & Deer ... Which are both at the taxidermist right now... Um yea we need a bigger house because there is no more room for any animals at the Overson Inn!


The end of October I had a deer hunt but the weather was bad and we didn't have any luck on it. Then Oct 30th one of Brett's Best Friends Cody got married and Brett was the Best Man. It was a traditional wedding so Brett had to give a speech and he did such a good job. I got to meet a lot of Brett's high school friends that I had heard a lot about but never met and now I've gotten to know them quite well as we have hung around them quite a bit.

Then the Holidays came and went... Don't even really remember them... I know so bad but we were so busy at work. I got a really nice camera from Brett and that's about all I remember. & I don't remember anything from January either... Wow huh... It's completely a blur...

Once our office manager quit I was working about 60-70 hours a week to clean up messes and stay on top of life. So yea all I did was work... In February I got released from Young Women's which was a bitter sweet. I was so busy that it was hard on me but I miss the girls.

This is the cake one of my Young Women made me when I got released to tell me thanks... So cute huh.... They are such talented young women!!!

We also got to rent a cabin in the mountains in Greer with my cousin Chris and his Wife Janelle... It was awesome... Brett loves the mountains in the winter cuz of the snow... but we didn't even really leave the cabin... all we did was hang out and chill and play games... It was awesome...

This fireplace was in our bedroom... SO cool huh... We have done this two years in a row so I think it has become a tradition... Which we both love!!

My brother and his family got to be at our house on Brett's bday which is my niece Kimberlee's bday as well so Brett got a princess cake for his 30th bday... Later that night I had a surprise dinner planned at Rustler's Roost in Phoenix with all our close friends. It was awesome!!!

Carter and Kimberlee loved walking Trixie while they were here... Even tho Trixie was a little afraid of little kids after Carter got done with her...



and then We worked and worked and worked March, April and May.... I mean worked and worked and worked.......... We went camping/shed hunting a couple of times in the spring

and Then the end of May we went to California with our Friends Kristin and Conrad. We went to Carlsbad and Catalina Island.... I had never been to Catalina Island and I loved it... I want a vacation house there... I loved it because it was so layed back and there weren't any cars... So relaxing... Yes I took my camera but forgot my charger and died after once picture... UGH!!! So frustrating....... So Kristin... Still need some picts from you!!! :)
These are the only two I have...

I don't remember too much of June either... Guess that means we worked too much again... I did finally give up working at the salon in June... I tried and tried to keep up with that because I really had a good clientele and wanted to keep doing it but I was killing myself off. I would go into the office at 6am and work til 4 and then go the salon til 9pm... OH wow I was getting so burnt out so I finally gave it up. I did go to ward Girl's camp which was so much fun to be around the girls again since I was already released. Then we met all of our immediate family in Kanab for a little get together which was fun...

and Then I went on to St. George and spent some good quality time with my friend Jen and her new baby Taylin...

For the 4th of July we got to go to California again with our Friends Bill and Rachel and their little boy Nash and our friend Brandon and his little boy Brayden... It was lots of fun... This time we went to Newport Beach which I really loved....

The middle of July we were gone for 11 days... AHHHH So what I needed... We went to Washington to a family reunion and hung out with family, farmed, ate, boated, swam and took lots of naps and relaxed... It was so amazing and the weather was perfect. I think anyone that lives in the Valley should leave for 11 days in July... It made the Summer actually bearable... But I completely forgot my camera somehow... WOW!!! I know...
Then we flew from Washington to Columbus Ohio for a Business Seminar... Which was really good and I loved seein a new part of the country I hadn't seen before.

So that finally gets me caught up I think... Somewhat... Any questions??? Ha ha its a lot... We've done a lot and grown a lot... & are very excited for our future... I did gain probably 10 pounds through all this because we ate out like 3 times a day when we were so so busy and now that it has slowed down some I have been working out with a trainer (it is awesome she has her own private studio... if anyone is looking for the best trainer let me know) and I workout 6 days a week and have lost it and I am in probably the best shape of my life. I am even thinking of doing a fitness contest... Wow that probably shocked a lot of you... :)

I know that we have been very blessed in the last year and I am very grateful for trials to help us grow. I am also so grateful for the tender mercies that are in our lives every day. I know Heavenly Father watches over us and I am so thankful for him.

Any ways hopefully I stay in the blogging world and If I forgot anything guess I'll say it later...

Hunting Season is HERE!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!!

Ok so hunting season for us started the middle of August with archery deer. Brett had plans to go Archery hunting to the same spot that I got a tag for rifle so we planned on me going with him so I could get to know the area better... well as it got closer I really just wanted to stay home... So I used the excuse that our home had been neglected because we had been so busy and it really needed lots of love and cleaning, So I said I  better stay home. SO I went to a baby shower for 2 hours the night before we were suppose to leave and I came home and the entire house was cleaned spick and span... My mouth dropped... I couldn't believe it!!! So I thought to myself I guess he really wants me to go!!! So I packed my bags and instead of getting a pedicure and going shopping my life turned into this.......................................

Yes not even a tent... Brett says there is no time for setting up a tent while hunting!!!! :)

And this as my bathroom.... ha ha yes Brett brings this just for me... ha ha he likes to make sure I am comfortable... He's awesome most guys don't even want to take their wife....

And this is what we did most of the day.... Looked for deer... If you can't tell Brett was looking through his bino's... And if you can't tell we're on top of this really tall mountain that we had to hike to the top of... Well even tho it was a lot of work it was lots of fun... I love getting away with just Brett & I!!!!

And I just had to prove that I Was all in camo really hunting!!! It was fun....

2 Year Anniversary

Sept 5th was our 2 year Anniversary.... WOW I can't believe Brett & I have been married for 2 great years.... And I am so excited that there are many more to come!!! I have the BEST HUSBAND for me! He always makes me feel beautiful and so so loved!!! I couldn't be happier!!!

Our anniversary was on Sunday this year so Sat. morn I woke up and brett gave me a gift card for a massage so I called and made an appointment for a massage. Oh it was so relaxing and fun. Then that night we went out to eat at one of my favorites, Olive Garden.... Oh ya I gave Brett this Hunting Garmin Rhino GPS thing he wanted.... It's to use it while you are out in the middle of no where hiking around.... ha ha he wanted it not me.... :) then Sunday we went to Stay at a Resort in Scottsdale. It was so nice and fun... Since it was Sunday we just ordered in Pizza and watched movies in our room..... OH my it was the best ever.... I love staying in motels and it was so nice to only have to drive about an hour and then be on a vacation.... or as people call it a STAYCATION!!! Well monday we hung out poolside most the day and then headed home... Oh it was just what the DR ordered.... Wish it could have been a week!!!! I didn't get too many picts but there are a few...

Can you tell which present is who's... ha ha I love getting flowers... Brett also got me a pedi gift certificate, then the stay at the resort!!!

This is the resort we stayed at... It was fun... I tried to imagine it was on the beach somewhere like the Carribean or Hawaii....

AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! My margarita poolside!!!  I love love Margarita's (virgin of course)!!! I'm sure I love them because they are so so sweet... But they are usually so expensive at resorts like these but they had a Happy Hour and so it was only $6 instead $13 ha ha so Brett got me one and I really enjoyed it especially knowing it was cheaper.... All in all it was a great weekend even though Brett was kinda sick!!!

I was going to list the reasons why I love Brett but There over 1thousand reasons!!! SO here are just a couple... He loves me for me even on my crazy days.... He is a worthy priesthood holder.... He's such a tough guy.... He always hugs me..... and gives me lots of kisses and makes me so so happy!!!! I will stop there before I get too mushy!!!

Summer 2010 BUSY BUSY BUSY

Ok we were so busy this summer and all the sudden it is "technically" over. Even though it is still 105 here. But Hunting season has started and that means our summer is over... So here is some of what we did this summer!!!!

The end of April we went to the Kaibab to go "Shed Hunting" with my cousin Chris and his new wife Janell.

This is my first ever shed I found and its really small and old... So I am not too proud but Brett was proud of me that I remembered what I was looking for. HA HA


Then in May my brother and his wife and kids came to our house to visit... We had so much fun, and really learned our house is not childproof AT ALL!!!

My Niece Kimberlee and I hanging out... and then I taught her to have a girl's day our so we layed out and then I took her to get her first Pedicure... She may be ruined for life now!!!

Oh my heck this is the cutest boy in the world... He is total boy and will probably be a huge football player... ha ha... but he is a character.... love him... and I miss both Carter and Kimberlee!

Ok so then the end of May Brett and I went on our own little camping get away.... and Shed Hunting Trip!!! Well lucky me I found a lot of sheds.... and Brett was jealous. Trust me it was on accident I would start walking the direction Brett told me to go and I would start wandering and then all of the sudden i would stumble upon some sheds and I was like oh crap that is what I am suppose to be looking for.... YES!!!!

Remember I was camping... Thats why I look like crap... Ha Ha these are two of the ones I found... Well its a full set... Which I guess is rare to find or harder but I actually found 2 sets...

This is everything we found and it was a fun weekend.... and at least we ate good!!!

In June My mom's family reunion was in southern Utah so we left a few days early and stayed in Kanab one night then went up to Manti to the pagaent they have at the temple there... I went when I was little but Brett had never Been it was so much fun... a road trip just the two of us.

This is my cute Grandpa... He was wearing the cowboy hat and I was wearing the other hat and he said it looked like a sheep herder's hat... and he use to be one so he stole my hat and put his cowboy hat on me... Oh I love my Grandpa so much he is such a "CHARACTER"...

This is Brett at Bryce Canyon... Oh my heck this place is AMAZING!!! I lived in southern Utah for a total of about 5 years and never actually went to the park... I even drove by it quite a few times going to Escalante but I am so glad we got to go all as a family... and Brett loved it of course because he was outside!!!

So Beautiful....

Then we got Trixie.... She is go much fun and this is her first bath... I laugh every time we give her one because she is so little.... She's trying to get out, she hates bath time!

And then her long and crazy hair... Don't worry we just got her groomed... Poor thing!

Then in July we went to the Big 24th Celebration in SJ... It was so fun as usual and good to see everyone... This is my family at the campfire... and this is pretty much the only pict I took... UGH!!! The little girl is my Mom's substitute grandchild since her's live so far away and luck enough this little girl's Grandma lives far away too so she needs a substitute grandma... They make a good pair!!!   oh ya and as you can see my Dad can text now!!! ha ha

The middle of August we made a casual trip to SJ and worked on my Gram's roof and then hung out with the BESTEST FRIENDS!!!!!! Aaron and Jodi... We went out and had a fire and tin foil dinners... AHHHH!!!! this is what I love about being in ST JOHNS!!!! (yes Jod it makes me wanna move there!!!)

OHHHH my cute Husband.... I love him and he is such a OUTDOORS GUY!!!! he is the best ever though!!! and yes I am playing in the fire!!! ha ha

Well that pretty much sums up our summer because then HUNTIN SEASON STARTS!!!! And that is a "Whole" new  and seperate post!!! So more to come...........
