Fat Baby= Happy Baby

Simon turned 4 months old on Sunday and is as big and fat and happy as a baby could be. He is now a giggling machine and rolls over all of the time. He is such a sweet boy and smiles non stop, especially at Lila. He could be in the middle of crying and if he sees Lila he will stop and give her big smiles. I just can't get enough of this boy right now, I am thoroughly enjoying the stage he is in. Here are a few of his sweet little smiles for your viewing pleasure.

Playing Catch up...Part 3

Lila's last day of preschool was in the beginning of June and we have missed it so much! Her last day was a circus day and when I went to pick up her up on the second to last day of preschool she said, "Mommy, don't forget to make my lion costume for circus days tomorrow." So I did what any mom would do and convinced her that the circus has beautiful ballet dancers in it too and she could just wear a dress up she already had. I cannot believe that my Little miss Lila already finished her first year of preschool, thankfully she has another one or else I might be freaking out a little more.




She has learned so much this year, I really was shocked everyday. She would come home and tell me about all sorts of things, like the life cycle of frogs and about her long and short vowels and she would sing cute creative songs that taught her all kinds of reading tricks. It was just plain amazing.

Launi and I joined her for most of her last day and there really is nothing Lila enjoyed more than Launi coming to her preschool. She would keep Launi right by her side every single second. Launi had the time of her life too and would jump right in the middle of things.

This is a picture that Lila drew during the year and since it was hanging up in the hall of the school I wasn't sure we would get it back so I took a picture of it. Lila is still very obsessed with art, she cannot get enough of it. Her teachers were always telling me how amazing her pictures were and that they wished they could keep them all. I was always impressed but I'm her mom so that's my job.
This is Lila and Miss Emily. She was one of Lila's teachers and absolutely amazing, I feel like we won the lottery getting her as a teacher.
This is Lila and Miss Lindsay, also amazing. Lila really did have spectacular teachers and such a wonderful first year of preschool.

Playing Catch up...Part 2

My brother and his family came into town the week we blessed Simon and it was so wonderful to have them all here. Our kids adored each other and it made us wish they lived here even more than we already did.



The kiddos acted like they have played together every day of their lives, it didn't take any time at all to get reacquainted.

We like to put our company, especially the little guys, to work.
We had a few get togethers while everyone was here, the kids were in little kid Heaven.

We also made our way over to jump on it. The kids had fun but I think the dads might have enjoyed themselves more.


On the last night we tried to get a picture of all of the cousins together minus Simon, we were not too successful. One 4 year old, two 3 year olds, one 2 year old and two 1 year olds, yeah it was a struggle.

But they were pretty darn cute!
Collin and Maxine come back! We miss you!

Playing Catch up...Part 1

I am a little shocked that I haven't blogged in so long. It is catch up time and I think I'll start with Simon's Blessing day. Simon was blessed the last Sunday in May and I wish I had taken more pictures of the guests that came. We had so many loved ones there, it warmed our hearts. Jake gave Simon a very sweet blessing and we were very grateful to have so much love and support on such a wonderful day.
This is a picture of us with the Ovesons, President Oveson was Jake's mission president and he married Jake and me.
I wish we had though to get the girls in the picture but they were busy having the time of their lives with their cousins.

Simon is as sweet as a baby can possibly be. We are a little obsessed with him around here.

Happy Monday!

This precious little man slept an uninterrupted 10 hours last night! I fed him and put him to bed at 8:30 pm and he woke up and ate at 6:30 this morning-Then right back to sleep he went.



His smiles are showing up non stop these days.





He also gives us the occasional bird face, which I do happen to adore.
