What I've learned
Well, the experiment was largely successful. I didn't miss too many days -- maybe about a month's worth, but that's not bad considering I managed to keep going for the whole year!
I've learned that I prefer to photograph friends and family. I enjoyed some of the more artsy stuff, but I admit that a lot of days I just took photos of stuff around the house or some other random thing near me just to say I'd done it, and not because I truly enjoyed it. It isn't as fun to take pictures when it's something I have to do, and not necessarily something I care about.
So, I won't be continuing the project this coming year. I just plan to take photos of the people I love and times I want to remember. If I see something artsy, I'll give it a try, but I'm more of a "memory-keeper" than an artist. I'm okay with that.
