Life Update

My Pregnancy

Michael and I found out that we were having a little addition to our family on April 17th, 2012.  We had been trying for a little while and I took dinner to Michael and my water tasted really funny so I thought why not take a test and sure enough it was positive.  I was trying to decide how I would tell Michael and just couldn't wait so I told him that night.  We were living in Wellsville and would take walks when he got home from work around 10:30pm, but of course he was late that night so it was really more like after 11:00.  So he gets home and i'm all ready for our walk and he gives me this look like are you serious i'm tired.  I had gotten a pink and blue balloon and tied the pregnancy stick to them(gross I know) and placed it on our path that we walk.  Michael gets to them and was going to pop them!  I kinda had to make him look closer, he finally figured it out and asked me if I was serious, not his exact words, but that is what we will go with.  Needless to say he was excited and shocked.

I was not a fan of the first 15 weeks of my pregnancy.  I was quite sick and miserable and we waited to tell our families till about 11 weeks.  I suffered in silence and hid it quite well, or so we thought.  My mom thought I had a brain tumor, and his family thought we didn't like them anymore.  We stayed alone a lot and I complained of headaches a lot.  

First time seeing our little.  Most amazing sound in the world-heathly heartbeat!

On August 8th Michael learned that he was going to be outnumbered, so excited for a little girl!!

Our Crazy Insane, Sometimes Normal Life

Am I the worst blogger or what? Let's not answer that ok. I won't give you my excuses, but lets just say that life has been extremely busy for Michael and I. So what have we been up to lately? School, school, work, work. It seems like that is all that we do lately. I would like to post about all the amazing adventures that we go on and do, but that is not in our cards lately. Maybe after we get done with school.
Michael:
Michael has been super busy with school this semester. He is taking his history classes and has been studying his head off. I'm so proud of him for working so hard to do so good in school. He has also been putting lots of hours in at work. Now is there busy time and I expect to not see him very much. That is not saying much because I already don't see him often. I feel so blessed to have Michael as my husband. He takes such good care of me and is a strength in my life. I honestly don't know what I did to have him in my life, but it must have been something amazing because that is what he is, AMAZING!! He never complains about anything, he just mentions that it was a rough day or something. Couldn't ask for a better person to be by my side for eternity!!
Michael has the itch to race. The season is about to start again and I don't know that he could wait much longer. He went and pick his kart up and brought it over for my family to check it out and he took it up and down the road a couple of times. I wish I could have captured the look on his face, grin from ear to ear. He enjoys racing so much, hopefully this year we will be able to go to more races.
MacKenzie:
I will be graduating on May 5th, and couldn't be happier!! Six years is way too long to get a bachelors degree. It has been a long up and down roller coaster of a journey. I'm proud of myself for sticking it with it when times got hard and I probably would have given up. Now I just need to get through this last month and I will be FINISHED! I have been working a couple days a week at Hycomp, going to school everyday, and working at my internship at LDS Family Services. I have big plans for after I graduate, CLEAN MY HOUSE. It has been very neglected, when I get home I have homework and the last thing I want to do is clean. Big goals I know, but such is life. I had surgery about a month ago, which went great. I have a small bladder and have what is called Interstitial cystitis or IC. It is just cracks in your bladder that act like a bladder infection. The surgery was to stretch my bladder and see if I really had IC and I do, but I also have three ureter's when most people have two. So I'm lucky enough to have more urine getting pumped into my small bladder. Yipee for me! I just have to watch my diet and don't eat certain acidic or spicy foods.
We are in the beginning stages of house hunting.  We started a couple months ago, but got caught up in school and haven't done much since.  Once we are out of school hopefully we will be able to find something or maybe build.  We just really want a house of our own, and Michael wants a garage, I do too, but maybe just a little bit.  I never thought it would be difficult to find a house.  I guess when your limited on budget and area to buy it makes it harder.
Michael and I are coming up on our 3rd anniversary and plan to go to Yellowstone.  I've never been and can't wait to see old faithful.  Hopefully there will be lots of camping and road trips and weekends at the lake this summer!!!
In other wonderful news we have a beautiful new niece, Bailey Hope Guymon!!  Love her to pieces!!! And also my sister Jeanine and her family from Alabama that I never get to see are coming this August for a trip.  Miss that family so much!

Trick or Treat

This year for Halloween Mike and I were Robin Hood and Maid Marian. My mom made our awesome costumes. We are so grateful for her amazing sewing skills. I'm glad it turned out as good as it did. Completely last minute. We partied it up at momma Debbie's for our annual party on Saturday. The family all looked great!!!

The Loss of a Great Man

Dec 4, 1954 - July 28, 2011

Loving father, husband, brother, son, and friend passed from this mortal life to return to his father in heaven. Scott passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. After a long battle with multiple health issues, Scott is now racing with ease. We love and will always miss you.

A Little Laugh

Where has the time gone????

Time flies when your having fun right? Well maybe time just flies.

Life has been good with the Losee's. We stay pretty busy all the time with school and work and spending at much time together as we can. I can't believe that it is almost April. I wish that it would look like that outside. We keep getting snow and I want sunshine. I want to plant some flowers and get my hands dirty. But it will come when it wants to, as it usually does in Utah. We are getting settled in Wellsville. We both now have callings in our ward. Mike is the 2nd counselor in the Sunday School and I am now teaching the CTR 4 in Primary. We are both excited. We must be still be new because it has finally come up that we get to talk in church on the 17th. Not too excited about that though. I am NOT a fan of public speaking. Pray for me.

School is as busy as ever. Papers, papers, papers. I think that is all I do each week, write papers. I want to craft and decorate my house, but it will have to wait till school is done. I have done a little bit. My mom and I got together and made some flowers and an egg out of wood for spring. I sewed some curtains for our bedroom, but that is about it. I'm getting the bug to create, but I have to hide it away for a little while longer. I can't seem to find my camera since the move or I would post some pictures of what we have been up to. Mike and I got to go down to Vegas for Nascar again this year. We got to stay with Nicki and spend some time with them. It was great weather and wish that I could be there right now. It is always great when you get a suntan the first of March.

Two wonderful people had a birthday this month and I just would like to share how amazing they are.

First off is my amazing mother-in-law. I couldn't ask for a better one. She does so much for Mike and I. Debbie is one of the most giving and sharing person I know. And talented to boot. She can sew just about anything that you could imagine. Lately she has been sewing vests for people who have had a heart pump put in. It has pockets that fit the batteries perfectly. She has had lots of practice with making them for Scott.

Rieker Ethan Glenn


He came to our family through the miracle of adoption.



His birth mom loved him so much that she gave him to Mark and Natalie to have both parents that could love him more than anything. Rieker turned 4 and told his mommy that 4 year olds don't throw fits. He is too old for that. He has the most loving spirit and when you look at him he lights up your life through his eyes. We always thought we could see his perfect soul through those big brown eyes. Happy Birthday little man. We love you so much.

Bad Blogger. . .

I'm really bad at blogging, apparently. Oh well, such is my life. How about a little update? Well, Christmas and New Year's were great. We spent a lot of time with family, which is what the holidays are about right? At least I think so. We both got spoiled from our parents and each other. Our biggest presents were an Xbox for Michael and a Cricut for me. We both are having way too much fun with them. I wish more but we have to do homework sometime.

Michael and I moved back to Wellsville, don't think I mentioned that yet? We are renting a small, older house. Older means cold and yes we are usually cold. But having the heat on constantly hurts out checkbook way too much, so we bundle up in sweaters and cuddle to stay warm. I am loving being back in Wellsville. I'm closer to my family so I don't get too lonely while Michael is at work at night. Not that I am home all that much anyways. But it is nice to know that they are just across town. Michael has been working every saturday this month and probably all of next month as well. I know that I complain about not being able to spend much time with him, but seeing your husband for maybe an hour or two a day before you say goodnight is not all that much fun. It does make the time we do spend together that much more special and meaningful. And hey, we don't ever fight. Not that we ever did before, but we are not together enough to get on each others nerves. Just teasing. That is one thing that I am very grateful for in our marriage, Michael and I do not fight. We disagree ever now and then, but that is rare. We have a very good understanding of each other. I love him so much!! He is such a good husband and truly my best friend. I didn't think it was possible that I could love him anymore than the day we were married, but I do more and more each day.

Ok, so new year usually means goals and yes I do have some, probably the same as most people, but I'm hoping that by putting it out there will help me to get my butt in gear and actually do them. So here they are in no particular order:

1. Get Healthy. I have gained about 50 extra pounds since we got married almost two years ago. (weird it's almost been two years, time flies when your having fun) This will entail eating healthy and exercising. No more fast food junky for me. (but I love my fries and burgers, no, be strong) The girls in my family have decided to have a little weight loss challenge. See who looses the most percentage of weight by Thanksgiving. Whoever does wins 100 buckeros!!!!



2. Stay organized. I have become lazy in my old age. In order to make my life easier and run more smoothly and have time to spend with Michael, I will keep my house clean and organized. Ha, easier said than done when Michael is your husband, I love the man but boy is he messy. So maybe this will be a goal for both of us. Put away our stuff!!!!


3. Become a better member of the church. That means going to all my meetings, attending the temple often, and reading my scriptures.


4. Go on a trip. I hope anyways. When I say trip I mean a big vacation. We have been wanting to go on a cruise but maybe we could just go to California and play. This is a little difficult when you are on a budget, but I think we could make it work.


5. Is just for me to know and you to find out.

I need to do all of my goals in order to be ready for my last one though. So I need to get going.

I can't wait for 2011, each year with Michael will keeping getting better.
