Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing

this is based on my very own experience.

For those who know me in person, I'm sure most of you know that I've been suffering from acne vulgaris when I was 16. The acne went away as I was prescribed by my skin doctor a medicine called Isotretinoin (ISO). It helps to control the growth and outburst of acne and pimples. I stopped after 6 months of prescription as I saw improvement.

My skin was acne-free, but then I suffered from post-acne; SCARS.
I tried so many things ever since the acne went away - may it be creams, facials or even good skin care products that could cost up to thousands per set. Nothing worked. It only work to diminish minor scaring (e.g - blackened scars) Then it hit me, I was suffering from a serious type of scaring; it was boxcar scars and rolling scars (click here for photos, hold down the ctrl key as you click)

Okay. maybe you think photos lie sometimes, but let me tell you, this procedure works like wonders. Fractional CO2 Laser resurfacing achieving reduction of acne scarring, wrinkles, pore sizes after one treatment. I, myself is amazed at what it did to my skin. I tried IPL, which is a lighter type of laser procedure but it did not help much as I had 'holes' on my skin. I was literally having a moon-surfaced skin on my cheeks.

Anyhow, this was how my skin looked like before, about a year ago when I started getting IPL done. IPL has less down time and clears off the brown and unwanted scarring dots on your face. It helps to tighten up pores and lighten up the skin as well. :)

Last week, I had CO2 done.
It was painful, I have to honestly tell you.
Thank goodness my doctor has this new numbing cream for the procedure which helped to bring down the pain when the laser was done. The higher the laser beam, the better the outcome. So if you could just bear through the pain, it'll surprise you! For the past 3 days, my face was swollen and was very red. I couldn't step out from the house as I will freak everybody out lol.
Then my bf bought me a flu mask from Guardian and I could go out normally now (with the mask, looking like I'm having a flu).

My skin is still peeling, but it's almost gone. There are still a little red spots on the sides of my face but my scars ARE 85% GONE! the moon-surfaced scars,yes, GONE!

i still have 2 more sessions to go for CO2. My skin has even out so much, thanks to my skin doctor. I wish you girls out there the same. Acne and pimple scars are the hardest to cure. So please, stop buying products that cost a bunch before you get a consult from your own skin doctor.

I just got home from Petronas Cubprix Event (AAM) down at Padang Kota/Fort Conwallis Penang.
Got off work at 11ish last night and slept at 2am.. Woke up at 530 this morning to get ready.
6am STANDBY time @.@ Just imagine, 2 hours plus of sleep and 8 hours of work. omgwtfbbq.

Nevertheless, it was fun being a GT girl/Grid Girl/Umbrella Girl.

fly to Kuala Lumpur at 11am, back by 5pm.
I don't know, I want something better.
Qatar Airways is having their open day 2 weeks from now.
Maybe I should try going for that one, who knows?

firefly cabin crew interview

It was a beautiful saturday morning on which i had to literally pull myself out from bed for this interview session with Flyfirefly. Ever since I was young, seeing the world has always been one of the things which I want to do. I wasn't 100% prepared for the interview. I didn't have any recent passport photograph of myself, and the one that I submitted was oh-em-gee.

Anyway, I reached Vistana Hotel near Bukit Jambul at 9am, clutching my resumes and photocopies of my certificates (together with, not to mention my oh-em-gee passport photograph). To be honest, I never thought I could even make it through the first round. My height and weight was measured, I was told to fill in a form and to wait in a room. Many candidates were waiting as well, and if you were there, you could tell that they were just as nervous as I was.

And so, we were called into another small meeting room. We were asked to introduce ourselves and tell them a little bit of our background, and what not, panic kicked in. They then asked us to walk around the room in line and then line up in front of them, and performed a simple skin check on our arms, face and our backs. (*yikes*)

My heart shrunk (in a good way) when my name was called for the next round! =D We were asked to introduce ourselves again, and a series of questions were thrown at our faces.

Interviewer 1 : Why did you choose to work for firefly?
Girl 1 : Because firefly is a great airline blablablabla..blablabla and Because I love the color orange!

SHIT. wrong answer.

Interviewer 1 : Does that mean when you go for Airasia, you change your favorite color to red?

I pity the girl. She had it going. Beautiful, well groomed and fluent in English.

They then asked us a few more questions and wanted us to answer in Bahasa. I was happy that I didn't have any second thoughts of speaking in Bahasa. Then, we were asked to read a short cabin crew announcement.. It was fun, felt like we were already hired. heh.

Ah, I dont know. The interviewers seemed to like me and the other girl. But we don't know what's going to happen. We're all asked to wait for a week or two for a call back. We'll see, till then, come back for updates!

let's just be boys for one moment. these 3 cameras are such beauties.. want to get one but i'm torn in between decisions. fickle mindedlah me. these 3 beauties pretty much possess the same functions; smile detection, anti-blur, etc etc etc.

this is such a beauty! it's sooooo thin and light. what more, they have it in limegreen - so HOT! it's definitely a plus! it's a little bit too small/thin for the hand though :( but it's economical. jeez.

pink stands out like mad but black's more subtle, and cool. a normal pocket camera.., with a not too bad price. but it's a little bit too thick compared to the two previous models above. it also has that hook-like thingy on the left which i'm not a fan of.
