Family Fun!

We have been having a lot of family fun the past couple of days. It started on Saturday night. We went to the Bradley game. Before the game, we tried to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings- to redeem coupons for 18 free wings. It was so crowded, we called our order in, picked up some drinks at the local gas station, and ate in the parking lot- I know, pathetic! The game was so crowded and the girls loved it. On Sunday afternoon we went to see Beauty and the Beast Jr at Eastlight theatre. It was put on by something called the Penguin Project, a cast made up of teenagers with disabilities. I had three students in the production. It was so good! The girls loved it and sat through the whole thing, even though it was nap time. After the play, we went to visit Uncle Brad who had a hip replaced on Thursday. The cousins had a great time playing together. On Monday night, we had game night- Sequence. Matt and I are now addicted to it and have played a game each night.


Update on the resolutions:

When I pick up the girls, they have been asking which workout tape we are going to do before supper. They are my cheerleaders and do the workouts with me. Today, my back started hurting, so I took the day off from workouts, hopefully it is a one time thing. As far as the reading, I am only one day behind, so I should be able to catch up soon.

New Year Resolutions Anyone?

I thought I would post my new year resolutions so you can all keep me accountable.

1. Read through the bible in a year- pray that I will not just go through the motions of reading it, but that I will keep having the desire to do it.

2. Get back into exercising. I have not done any physical activity for at least two years. So far I have done the "Power 90" two times this week. My goal is be a pre-baby weight by summer- so we will see.

Well, Christmas has come and gone and I have not updated in while. We loved Christmas break. It was filled with staying up late, watching movies, going to Bradley games, playing Settler's and Ticket to Ride, Spending time with family, and having pink-eye/ ear infection. Yes, me, not the kids, had an ear infection and pink-eye the first week of break. The kids were so excited Christmas day with their presents. After they opened up some small presents, they thought Christmas was over, but Matt hid a note on the tree from "Santa" that told them to go to the playroom to find two more gifts. Britt got a "two wheel" bike and Courtney's "big" gift was a doll stroller. They were so excited. All of Christmas break, Courtney would play with a new toy or put on a new outfit and ask who gave her the present, then she would say "I love it" or she would thank me for it again. It was precious! Here are some photos from Christmas. Courtney was not too sure of Santa- she asked him for mickey mouse (She had a Mickey Mouse birthday party). Britt has never sat on Santa's lap, so she decided to whisper into Santa's ear that she wanted a "two wheel" bike. The other picture is the annual Dean/Chatwell/Gardner Christmas picture of all the kids. We had a blast playing games literally all day long.
