Just Some Stuff
1. I got to go to a lunch tasting with my friend Jen the other day. We went to a dining room at the Qwest Center. We got to taste 3 different salads and 3 different desserts. What's the big deal, you say? Well, the salad and the dessert we chose are what will be served at a fundraising luncheon for Girls, Inc. And, my friends, Warren Buffet will be introducing the speaker that day, who is none other than...Hillary Clinton! I hope she likes the Pesto Chicken with Olive Tapenade over fresh salad greens and the chocolate/espresso tart.
2. My neighbor came over last night and chatted with me about my Obama yard sign. It is obvious he thinks I am going to hell for voting for him. He even gave me a DVD and a pamphlet to prove it. This will probably turn into its very own post, after I eventually return the items to him. It is going to take a while, though, since I could only read the first page of the pamphlet before becoming anxious and, yes, even a little enraged.
3. My 2nd daughter is either an extremely dumb criminal or a very funny one. We are trying to decide. Yesterday my husband noticed a pair of scissors and a little piece of orange paper on the t.v. shelf. The paper just happens to match the gift wrap on J's birthday gift. It has been sitting on the shelf above the t.v. since Auntie Carolyn and Uncle Pete sent it a few days ago. Upon examination, the package reveals a corner cut off which matches the piece of paper perfectly. You can see I am very good at figuring these things out from all the crime shows I watch. I haven't told her yet that we saw what she did. I am waiting to see if she acts surprised when she opens it.
