MPEC Drums in the Summer!

A cool wet day turned into a gorgeous solstice evening at Pueblo Mountain Park. The fair skies brought many folks, youngsters through not-so-youngsters to our summer solstice drum circle. Rhythms, dancing, singing, and hoola-hooping were some of the ways 50 or so folks welcomed summer.

A busy May @ MPEC!

May has been humming for MPEC in Pueblo Mountain Park. Along with lots of school programs (photo of stream ecology session of Earth Studies), we had another great Nature Toddlers session (playing drums before the hike), and a special treat when Diana Miller of Pueblo Nature and Raptor Center released a couple of flammulated owls among the ponderosa pines in front of the Horseshoe Lodge (a "flam" pictured with MPEC member and supporter Tyson Bennett).

A great way to usher in the summer - bring your friends, children, grandparents, outdoor lawn chairs and enjoy a summer evening in the pines. You can bring a drum or use one of ours.
