Marlee

• thinks tummy time is punishment
• is a snooze hound, she has been sleeping anywhere from 9 to 11 1/2 hours lately at night and snoozing through the day. 
• loves to people watch 
• has the daintiest fingers, and is always holding them like she's drinking a cup of tea

• officially has a bald racing stripe around her head from throwing her head back and forth
• hates, no loathes the booger bulb
• has the sweetest little coos, they melt my heart. She's started talking back and forth with us with her coos. She's been doing a funny fake laugh thing that sounds like a cat hissing.

• loves my screechy off-tune singing voice. She loves to be sung to, and loves to be bounced with your face next to hers.
• loves to slime her daddy with spit up every time he holds her
• and loves his silly adventure stories he tells her every day 
• always has one bare foot- whether it's one sock or one shoe, she always only has one. 
• has the sweetest smile I've ever seen

I absolutely love dressing Marlee up and taking pictures of her! I probably already have a million pictures of her...

Marlee was doing really well until round 2 of the picture taking started. Marlee views tummy time as some sort of cruel punishment so I got about 2 good pics before all heck broke loose.

 I wore Marlee right out from taking all those pictures. hahaha here is her all tuckered out. It's a hard life being a baby. :)

Marlee had her 2 month shots today... so so sad!!! They had me hold her little hands as the nurse poked 3 monster needles into both of her thighs. I couldn't watch her sad little face. She only cried for a few seconds then let out the saddest little coos; it completely broke my heart!

I laughed when I heard Marlee's measurements. She's in the 35 percentile for weight, 50 percentile for height, and 75 percentile for head circumference!! Ha I always thought her head looked big compared to her body! When the doctor saw her head measurements he said, "well she's got a big noggin... she's going to be really smart. :)"

Marlee has the most adorable little smile! Every time I see it it makes my heart melt. It makes me want to attack her with kisses (which I always do). I can't get enough of her. I just want to kiss and squeeze her all day. 

She is the most smiley baby; I absolutely love it!! Almost every time we talk to her she smiles at least 3 times. Her lips are a carbon copy of her daddys', but just miniature size. Whenever she smiles she looks like a mini Drew, it's soooo dang cute!

hALloWeEN 2013

October was a busy one this year! It was filled with fun activities like Halloween decoration making, going to the pumpkin farm, and the annual Egbert Halloween party. Oh yeah and our 3 year anniversary... pretty uneventful. We had all these great plans, but just didn't get around to them.. Next year we'll do somethin' crazy!

Drew and I had all these fun and crazy plans for Halloween night like watching Hocus Pocus, having our own dance party, carving pumpkins and making pumpkin seeds, but only ended up doing the carving pumpkins part.. that's our life story lately.

Marlee's blessing

Drew blessed Marlee yesterday morning at 9 a.m. at our house. He did such an amazing job! I could tell Drew was guided by the spirit in the things that he said, it was really heart felt and so sweet. Drew's family was in town for their Fall break, so we stayed the whole week up in Provo at the Drew's cousins house, the Runia's. It was so fun for Drew's parents, Mimi and Papa, to meet Marlee for the first time! It was such a fun weekend, and ended with a beautiful blessing day. Thanks mom for all the hard work you went to! It was perfect!!!

Having little Marlee is the most amazing thing in the world. I feel so blessed for every day I have to spend with her and for the opportunity to raise such a sweet little girl. It is truly amazing the amount of love you can feel towards someone. I know that this is what I am supposed to be doing, and that Motherhood is such a vital part of Heavenly Father's plan. Motherhood is what Heavenly Father gave us time for. "For God's ^awork and ^bglory is to bring to pass the ^cimmortality and ^deternal ^elife of man."  -Moses 1:39
