Martin Luther King Jr

This week we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr Day.  He was such an important man!  To begin this unit I would like you to watch this video of a book that we will be reading and studying this week.

Penguin Penguin Penguin!

We having been learning about penguins all week!  It has been so much fun discussing the different types of penguins and where they live.  Here is a fun assignment to learn more about penguins.

Discovery Gateway Field Trip

Field Trip Coming Up.....

We will be taking the kids to Discovery Gateway as we begin our unit on Maps, Communities and Community Helpers.  Please contact me if you will be able to volunteer for this field trip.  The field trip will be April 12th.

Math Graphing

We having been graphing all week.  How many girl/boys in class?  How many blue eyes, green eyes, brown eyes in our class and so much more.  We would like to do a graph with a larger sample and practice graphing larger amounts.  Please collect the following data.

Ask 10 people (anyone in your family, neighborhood, etc.) which candy is their favorite out of m&ms, skittles, snickers bar, laffy taffy.

Please put your data in the comments.  We will graph the results tomorrow in class.
