Late Cards.....

So there is a reason no one will be receiving Christmas cards this year....obviously the company that I ordered them from either lost the order, never sent what they claimed was printed (that I received a confirmation number for I might add), lied to me, the post office lost the order, it was delivered to the wrong address and some one else is looking at 70 cards of the three of us......who knows but whatever the reason is I AM M-A-D!!! I ordered 70 cards two Saturdays ago and was promised 3-5 day shipping. Plenty of time I thought. My envelopes are addressed sitting on my dining room table waiting to have cards in them and sent on their merry way! But...I did get my money back and will be attempting to order New Year's cards when we return from vacation.

Jack is now to the age that he is in constant conversation with everyone. He talks constantly about anything and everything.
Last night we went to dinner and as the waitress comes to the table the following conversation takes place:

Waitress: "Do you want some more sweet tea?"

Jack: "No, I am pooping!" as he grunts and takes care of his business......

she walks off and I hide my head because I am sooooo embarrassed! I am sure this is one of many more crazy comments to follow........

Jack's second birthday is today! I can't believe that he is two! Time needs to stand still because I know he won't be little much longer. Neil and I tell each other all the time how lucky we are to have him as our son. We both just love him so much and thank God for him each day. He is smart, creative, funny, messy, so very boy, loving, huggable, and down-right a toot sometimes but I would have it no other way. I can't believe that two years ago this morning at 6:15 am our lives changed so much! I never knew that it was possible to love someone so much. I have only a glimpse of what Jesus' love for each of us is just by being Jack's mommy. Happy Birthday Sunshine- I love you so much!

Jack's 2nd Birthday Party!

Yesterday, we had Jack's birthday party at the firestation. It was so much fun. The firemen did a great job and were super nice. He had several little friends show up and got super great presents! He can't stop playing with the construction sticker book, soccer ball and goal, and the Mr. Potato Head! Instead of cake, I had a lady make cookies. They were so perfect and tasted good with a little Blue Bell ice cream. He absolutely loved when everyone sang Happy Birthday to him! I can't believe that he is turning two on MONDAY!!!!!!!!
* Neil's parents were on their way to see us for the party on Thursday night but had to turn around because Neil's grandmother passed away. Please keep them in your prayers. We missed having Pops and Gumbea visit us and come to the party!!!!

Christmas Card Attempt #2....

well it went about as well as the first...(see previous post)....thanks for trying to help me Amy! You are a super fab friend. We did try again after naptime but it also didn't go so well. Whose idea was it anyway to make Christmas cards?

I am SOOO Thankful!

I am so thankful for this little man! I love him so much and can't get enough of this sweet little face. God is so good and has blessed me with so much.

Zoo Trip and other posts

Jack, Nan, Fatz, me, my sister Anna and her roommate from Clemson (Katie) went to the Birmingham zoo last Sunday. It was a very nice zoo and we had a great time. I think that Jack really enjoyed running around the place and seeing all the animals. I highly recommend this zoo! Enjoy ALL of the pictures......

Funny comment from Jack

So tonight I walk into the bathroom to find my baby throwing cups of water onto the bathroom floor during bathtime. The walls were wet, the floor had standing puddles and the the towel I had in the floor was drenched. This conversation took place:

Mommy: "Jack, what are you doing?

Jack: (looking down at the floor) "oh gosh"

I couldn't help but laugh. I think I have a long road ahead of me with this boy! He has also become very, very bossy in his short almost two years of life....I guess I reap what I have sown?
