Baby Jane's Blessing

Our first family photo... aww... Jane is only 9 days old in this picture, but we wanted to have her blessed when my family was in town. It was really fun to have everyone here and be apart of this special day.
Here is Jane, lookin' pretty :) Her blessing dress is very special to me and will one day be very special to her. A couple weeks before my mom made the trip out here I asked her if she would make Jane a blessing dress. Well, not only did my mom make this dress, but she made it out of her wedding dress!!! Isn't that amazing. I was looking at the dress when she first handed it to me and was like "hmm... mom, is this new fabric?" and she was like, kinda. Anyways, I guessed right away. I can't believe she cut up her wedding dress (which she also made) to make Jane a dress. I just think that is way cool and very special. THANKS MOM!
Here is a group shot of everyone that came to visit. (except my mother who so kindly stayed home with me and Jane) Zach took them on a hike up in Boulder. They all said the hike was beautiful and I can't wait until I can make the trip. In the photo: Phillip, Zach, Summer, Dad, Valerie, Chad, Jaedyn, and Angela. Unfortunately Valerie's husband couldn't make the trip. (He is taking 19 credits this semester... woah) And my oldest brother and his family weren't able to make it either. Regardless, I am SO happy that the family that did make it was able to come. I wasn't that much fun because I was still recovering, but I had a lot of fun having everyone here. Thanks guys for making the trip!

Little Miss Jane

My family has been in town, and my brother Phillip and his wife Summer were the last to leave, and they left today... :( Anyways, before they had to go to the airport we drove down to Garden of the Gods. And I just couldn't resist taking pictures of my little Jane, she was SO cute. Thanks Liesl for the cutest hat ever!

Swollen feet...

Real quick, just wanted to say that NOBODY told me that the swelling only gets worse AFTER having a baby! I was so suprised to look down at my feet and see how huge they were. It only took a couple days for the swelling to go away, and when it did... I couldn't believe how skinny my normal ankles could make me feel. It had been so long since I had seen my own feet.

Introducing... JANE MARIE OLSEN!!!

YAY! She is FINALLY here! I really suck at blogging and these pictures are actually in the opposite order that I wanted them, so you should start from the bottom of the post and read up.
This was Jane today, she takes a pacifier so well, and she always holds it in with her little hands. It's SOOO CUTE!
This is my mom... She is amazing. We thought I would have the baby by the time she got here, obviously that didn't happen, so she was there for the delivery. It was so nice to have her there, as well as here at home. She has been helping/doing everything around here which has made my recovery very nice. I am SO grateful that she made it and is able to stay for a bit to help!
Here is a PRECIOUS picture of Zach and Jane. I love the way he is looking at her, and how truly happy he is.
And this is a picture taken after her first bath. I can't say I'm a huge fan of the mohawk that the nurse gave her, but can't go back now!

We LOVE having Jane here. She is such a beautiful and loving little girl. It is so fun to snuggle with her and see her make a lot of really funny faces when she is waking up. I will definitely be posting more. I have more pictures that didn't fit in this post, that I will post later.

Oh yeah... she weighed 7lbs 4 oz and was 19.5 inches long. She was born March 13th at 4:20 in the morning. (good signs right... Friday the 13th at 4:20...)

5 things...

Here is a list of 5 things I wouldn't be surprised if I accomplished before my baby is born.

1. Finish the Book of Mormon (I'm currently on the 10th chapter of 1 Nephi)

2. Making a wood rocking horse by hand 

3. Celebrate my 2 year wedding anniversary (May 25th)

4. Attend my sister in laws wedding (Aug 7th)

5. And lastly, learn to play the violin like a pro.

Nope...

Okay, so I haven't really been calling anybody, just cause I don't want to hear: "OOO Have you had your baby?!" Not that it's that bad that I haven't, but I just don't want to have to depressingly say... Nope... 

So anyways, I haven't had the baby yet. I'm due tomorrow, but to be honest... I think it will be a while before she comes. I hope that I'm wrong... but I think she wants to stay inside me a little bit longer.  Which, I guess is fine. I was just so DONE with working that I think that was my main reason for wanting to go into labor so bad... just cause working was so uncomfortable. But now that I'm done working, it doesn't seem all that bad to have to wait a few more days. 

Anyways, I'll let you all know when it does finally happen. Cheers...
