Shawn, Hannah, me and Grandpa went to Taiwan and Hong Kong to pick up her sister from her mission. It was a beautiful adventure that I'm so grateful for. The best part was having only Hannah to get to bond more with. She goes for Daddy much more now.

After reading my friend Becky's post (who is newly pregnant and having a girl - congratulations! ) I am realizing that I have the energy to blog again. Your energy will come back someday Becky, you're doing great. So....the ocean is our wilderness so we play on it a bit. Shawn took the Mae and Cam to Anacapa Island. They saw many baby seagulls and nests with eggs. And lots of bird poop and squawking into the night. Hannah is easy going. Shiloh is my social girl. She doesn't love TV and books as much as following me around and going places. She loves boys and will stand by them and smile up at them until they give her attention. Cameron and Shawn are awesome lego builders. They are two peas in a pod. Maeli is getting independent and I love being around her. We are learning Spanish with their Spanish immersion school. Our 1940 house has had some plumbing and roof work done. Bunk beds plus a single bed fit great in one room. Maeli, Cameron and Shiloh enjoy sleeping together.

Our new Spring chick

We feel blessed to have Hannah arrive safely on March 15, 2013. I survived mastitis and am grateful for the return of good health! There were baby sea lions on our latest hike. They are at the bottom of the cliff. I hope their mothers come back for them. Maeli has given me lots of homemade cards thanking me for the baby. 7 year old girls are so sweet. In California they give paternity leave for 2 weeks (possibly one of many reasons why CA has money problems), so he and Cameron have been busy with Legos. Shiloh (now 2) is happy as long as there are enough binky's for her and the baby.

I finally figured out how to post since Google changed the format. It takes me a while. The pictures are of Shiloh holding a bird at Santa Monica Pier. She had no fear. An old picture of our Halloween. Maeli was Scooby Doo which was the hit of the school. She didn't know what to do with all of the attention. I would have never guessed a 6 year old girl would want to be a dog if my sister didn't have the costume already. The last is of our Christmas in Idaho. It made me grateful for my sunshine. It was crisp and clear and wonderful to look at. I'm grateful for our relatives for hosting us. Updates: We're expecting a girl in March, still deciding on names. Maeli has had 5 cavities REPLACED. They fall out and one cracked her tooth and will be a root canal if it falls out again. It makes me not want to take Cameron to the dentist, who is past due. But overall life's been great.

It's 2 in the morning and I can't sleep (not even yawning). Shawn and I are going to Hawaii tomorrow (actually today) and leaving our children. His ticket is free since he has work there. So, Shiloh broke 7 eggs today because our fridge is easy to open. She's lucky she's adorable.

Shawn has built a barn and a modified tree house this month - with no nails into the tree (we're renting) which was impressive.

Winter 2012

Shiloh is almost 1. Maeli is a big 6 year old. Shawn still likes his job so we're still here in LA and will be here even longer. Maeli's learning lots of Spanish in her Spanish school. We did a play for my Dad's 60th birthday, camping, and went to Salt Lake for a funeral. Fun adventures.

Monterey Vacation

The last week in August we did the Monterey aquarium and camped along Highway 1. Of course it was beautiful and great fun.

May 2011

We had family come for Shiloh's blessing. We did sailing and ate yummies. Went camping and saw the great Sequoia's. Cameron and Maeli are in the picture, just small.

All is well at the McKay house. Shiloh appears to have blue eyes so far. I challenge you to find her eyebrows. It's good we have Robin and Batman in the house to save us girls.

Our winter

So this is what's been going on: playing at ocean, pottery class, birthday, pregnant belly, and Shiloh's arrival! We are blessed. We have more girls than boys at our house now.
