Oh my gosh! It's been a year!

What a year! I made fitness and health a part of my life; lost 33#s and got my 'Halle Barry' haircut; Jordan went on his first prom date; Taylor and I took a little vacation for his birthday, and even though we had good and bad moments in 2010, we are so grateful for the chance to have lived it!

Hawaii

I was able to visit Hawaii for the first time. Now if I die, I will die happy :) Everything is so beautiful! My friend Heather and I went. We layed on beaches, went 4-wheeling in the mountains, hiked, found a natural watering/swimming hole, saw whales, went in a shark cage, and had a blast! I could eat cold coconut and macadamia nuts forever! I want to take Troy someday.

Thanksgiving 'Nelson' style

Thanksgiving synopsis (Nelson style)..sleep in; go to the mountains to ride ATVs in snow (woohoo!); chop down 2 Christmas trees; oops nothing is open on Thanksgiving..lunch at Taco Bell at a truck stop; almost ran out of gas, but (thank goodness) drifted in on fumes; went to movie (Christmas Carol); "mom, we can't have... Thanksgiving without turkey"... official Thanksgiving dinner at midnight! Gotta love our family! Good times!

Jon Schmidt

Our family had the opportunity to watch Jon Schmidt play a concert. It was wonderful! (As it always is) Jordan was in heaven! He was able to go to an extra little private lesson, and he enjoyed it so much! If you haven't had the opportunity to do so, go to one of his concerts. The link to his site is http://www.jonschmidt.com

Little suprises

I love those times when you go somewhere expecting one thing and something else ends up being what made you have the most fun. We went to the Dixie Roundup Rodeo on Saturday (like we always do), and the weather started going crazy. There were huge gusts of wind, and then it started to rain. The kind of rain that you run inside from. Well, we couldn't miss the rodeo, because it only comes once a year, and we just happened to have a wool blanket, so Carter and I got under it. Carter started pretending we were in a tent and he and I got the giggles so hard. It was so cozy under our 'tent', and Carter was so excited he was about to explode. I will bet that that rodeo experience will never leave our memories. What a fun night!
