6 more weeks!!!

(Don't mind the dirty mirror)

I am so excited to report that I only have 6 more weeks!! Yahoo!

Things to remember....
  • She is moving quite a bit now and is most active when I am laying in bed.
  • She always goes crazy when I eat ice cream
  • I am always HOT! I always have to have a fan on or the air in the car on pretty much full blast!
  • I still throw up whenever I cook hamburger. The smell just is horrible!
  • Non-stop heartburn
  • She gets the hiccups almost every morning
Cravings....food I probably eat way too much of:
  • Root Beer
  • Oreo cookies dipped in milk
  • Turkey Sandwiches
  • In n' out cheeseburgers
  • Homemade bean burritos
  • Apples
  • Nectarines
  • Watermelon
  • Cheese Quesadillas
  • Mint Oreo Ice Cream
  • Milk Shakes
  • Cupcakes
  • LOTS & LOTS of Ice Water
My toe has been swollen for quite a while and the other night (8-26-09) I was getting ready to get in the bath and noticed my toe was bright red and it was starting to throb. It would hurt every time I pushed on my toenail so I took my toenail polish off and was in disgust. My toe starting oozing puss out the side of the toenail and it was all nasty underneath the nail. I soaked my toe and most of the puss came out. I called the next morning to get into the doctor to check it out and he said it was pretty infected so he shaved down my toenail and gave me so topical bacterial medicine to clear it up. Today (Fri) it is already feeling much better. Still swollen but, the redness is gone.

Speaking of yucky infection... a couple weekends ago (8/15/09) we went swimming at the Washington City Pool. We came home, showered, and I was cleaning out Coop's ears. I noticed something white in his ear that was pretty much taking up his whole ear canal. I tried to carefully see if I could break through it. I couldn't even get through it and so I decided Monday morning to call his doc to see what was up. We went in and got his ear checked out. The result.......Swimmer's ear! Poor guy had to do antibiotic drops for a week and NO SWIMMING that week. (That was rough for him, but we survived!)

Big Brother Class

Wednesday was the Sibling Prep Class at the hospital. It was a lot of fun! Each child got to hold the life like baby and tell how we can take care of the baby. They each got a stuffed baby and drew a face on it. Cooper said his baby was a girl because he is having a sister.
To my surprise he did really well at putting the diaper on. Good Job Coop!
I love his cheeser face
Holding baby GiGi (he named her) Baby GiGi with her lovely PINK hair I think we are all very excited for baby girl to arrive!

Photo shoot

Cooper has really loved taking pictures lately. Here are some of his lovely pictures. I love how he takes pictures of everything....especially his self portraits.

For the Love of Tractors

Since construction has started up again across the street Cooper has been over there about everyday! He LOVES tractors. Lately when Cooper is no where in site I just open the front door and find Mr. Coop driving the tractor across the road. Silly Boy!

Kolob

We went up to Kolob Wednesday night with Jen, Jer, & Kids. We made dutch oven and just enjoyed the cool weather. The kids had a blast and were filthy by the time we left! While we were walking back from the lake we saw this big black creature which we totally thought was a bear. Luckily, that bear turned out to be a really LARGE cow!

Salt Lake

This past week we were up in Salt Lake. Nick had some classes and tests to take so Cooper and I thought it would fun to go with him even though he was gone most the day. We made it to Salt Lake Tuesday and got all checked into our hotel and went and grabbed a bite to eat. After dinner we decided to go and drive to where Nick's class was to time it from where we were staying. Well, we heard a weird noise like we had ran something over so we pulled over to check it out. There ended up being a huge screw in our front passenger tire. Instead of going to the tire place which we should have....Nick pulled out the screw....bad idea! We had a totally flat tire. He got out the stuff to change the tire and guess what??? we were missing the extensions for the jack. Oh great!!!! We finally flagged down a car and was able to get the spare on. We drove over to the tire place and they closed 15 minutes before we had gotten there! So, we decided we would just go first thing in the morning and get it fixed. We proceeded to go find the building where the classes were and the GPS was not functioning properly.. Haha it led us close to it though and we were able to find it after lots of driving in circles. After that we had a pretty smooth ride and no drama!
Cooper and me had a lot of fun going to the Bountiful temple, watching trains, swimming, playing at the park, and finding fun things to do. It was nice to be in such beautiful weather! It was PERFECT. I don't think it got above 95 degrees.

Thursday after one of Nick's tests we went to the Hogle Zoo. Cooper LOVED seeing the monkeys and watching them play around with each other. He really wanted to see the tigers, but they were all hiding! While we were there we got to see a baby giraffe. He was only 1 week old! So cute!
Playing around on some toys
Climbing up the slide
Sliding down

My helper

This is cooper's favorite thing as of lately. He LOVES to vacuum! I am enjoying it quite as well!

First "official" Paul Brooks Reunion

The last week in July we went up to Panguitch Lake for our Brooks Family Reunion. This is technically the first one we have had as a Paul Brooks Family. It was so much fun!! Some of us went up on Thursday and set up camp and enjoyed the cool weather. We ate some yummy tin foil dinners and s'mores. Friday we went down to the lake and went fishing. No one caught a thing! We even went a couple more times and still....no luck! It was a lot of fun watching all the kids and untangling lots of fishing line. :) That night most everyone showed up in time for dinner. We missed Karlinda, Jason M., Jen, their babies, and Austin. We enjoyed delicious shredded beef, dutch oven potatoes, baked beans, rolls, green salad, and scrumptious desserts! After dinner we sat and visited and the kids made some crafts. Later we played an awesome game of family feud and guess who. Kay did a great job at putting those together....we all had a blast and lots of laughs! Dad ended the night with a devotional and it was time for bed. It was so fun to watch the little kids listening to Grandpa so intently as he explained about being a eternal family!Saturday Morning we enjoyed a delicious pancake breakfast....the blueberry ones were oh so good!!! We also had yummy dutch oven eggs, bacon, watermelon and OJ. We got all packed up and headed back home to the HOT weather!! We had some awesome hair up there while we were camping. Justin definitely won the award. His hair was the best!!! On Saturday morning we had a lot of fun with this potty chair! Thanks to G-ma Irene for passing it down to Warren. :)
