Road Trippin' for the BEST Reason!

Back on the 28th of June, we took a quick weekend trip to Idaho with Mom, the Bahrs, and the Stewarts. We went to celebrate and be a part of a special occasion; our nephew was sealed to his parents since the adoption has now been finalized!

Nick was quite the avid reader.  He actually read the majority of the 4th Harry Potter book on our trip there and back.  I knew I'd convince him it was good!

What a special day for the Blake family!  We are so happy for the miracle of adoption and so pleased that both Mason and now Kellen are a part of the family forever!  It was great to be a part of it since I was still on my mission when Mason was sealed to Spencer and Whitney.  We love you guys-ie-pies!

A Last First

This summer I reached my last first day of school as a student! Of course we took a picture to document the momentous occasion.

I guess I'll still be a student in the Fall, but I'll be a teacher too. 

(That's just a weeeeeeee bit scary, ya know.)

Game Night

One Sunday night we had a few people over for games. My sister's family came, and so did their brother/brother-in-law. 'Twas a blast, and we were glad to officially have a party at our house. Next time, you're all invited.

Laura was diggin' that pasta salad we fed her.  Also, it's adorable that she had her own little personal highchair picnic right there on our bath towel and carpet. :)

Handyman, Hikes, and HOther HAdventures

We've been trying to get our adventures in while we have time and great weather during the summer.  Here are some pictures to show what we've been up to!  (And boy, can we say that we really enjoy being able to do all these things and then go home to the same house when we're done!  Being married really is the greatest.)

We hiked (almost) to Maple Flats with a friend and took a picture here at the meadow.

Nick and I (mainly Nick) put together our bookshelves so we could store oodles of stuff!

We went with the Bahrs to hike Bridal Veil Falls.

We're Married!

Well we got married!  May 2nd was a really fun and special day for us.  We were so glad to be sealed for time and eternity in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple.  Grandpa Blake performed the sealing for us, and lots of friends and family were there to celebrate with us.  What a special day!  We were also so grateful to Whitney over at Whitney Beth Photography who took our pictures!  It's fun having such a talented cousin.

We spent the weekend and first part of the next week up at Bear Lake for our honeymoon.  We loved the open space and quiet atmosphere of the little large cabin that we rented.
