I am legit-ly ticked about this, and I am voicing my concern about this upcoming season..I saw a preview and it did NOT excite me like it usually does. But don't worry my blog will be up to date with all of my thoughts and opinions throughout the season. Just as long as you leave yours as well. AH January 4th, please just come already because I want this season to be overwith so we can all just move on to bigger, better, hotter, less annoying things.

I have the greatest friends in the whole entire world! Halloween was a blast-but frankly everytime we get together is a blast as well! For halloween..Hayley was a flapper, I was batgirl, Gabrielle-Mrs Incredible, and Molly Jane was Audrey Hepburn (which i thought was amazing)!! I love you guys so much!!! Thanks for putting up with me--i mean hanging out with me :)

TWO posts in one day?? Why not!

Yesterday I watched the movie "FOREVER STRONG." It was the best movie I have yet to experience!!!!! After I felt like I was ready to go conquer or do something outstanding in the world. That is my goal. I hope I can do something simply amazing for something or someone in my world.

Another movie that is coming out soon that I think will be AMAZING is The Blind Slide. It's with Sandra Bullock who I love more than anythinggg. It looks like such a wonderful, life moving film! So definitely excited for that one!!

On a spiritual note..

A couple weeks ago somebody in church gave a talk on temples and temple attendance. She shared the scripture D&C 109:22 which is now one of my favorite scriptures. It tells us the rewards that we get through attending the temple...

It reads:

And we ask thee, Holy Father,
that they servants may go forth from this house

armed with thy power,

and that thy name may be upon them,

and thy glory be round about them,

and thine angels have charge over them;

How great it would be to always be armed with his power, have our father's name be upon us, his glory surrounding us and angels there to comfort us? We can have all of these things through temple attendance!!!!!!! I am making it a goal to go to these beautiful temples around Utah and doing baptisms hopefully each week.. Singles ward.

I used to watch the movie singles ward and just get a good laugh. Never in my right mind did I think that it was actually real or that our church singles ward actually was anywhere like that!
Having attended my stake singles ward..I now beg to differ.

My stake has a serious problem by not letting anybody go to the student wards. They said it empties the stake singles ward. YOU GOT THAT RIGHT, who in their right mind would ever want to go to the singles ward where 30+ year old men feast on new young prey like myself!?

Right before Sacrament meeting is supposed to conclude, the Bishop makes an announcement saying all new members come to the foyer to meet the bishopric. He then excuses everybody and you then see the old men make a run for the foyer ready to meet the new members, or their new wife as they see it. It is insane. I am all about meeting people but in due time and in the right place! This ward feasts on news of engagements and marriages. If a young women announces she's engaged, she is then treated like she won the freakin lottery!!

It seems like every other day they are having dessert nights, meet n' greets, munch n' mingle...however many ways you put it. They think up any way and every way to get all the singles together. We have our own lives with school and work, but yet it seems as though these charachters live for these "gatherings."

Some people think my opinion is rude and wrong. It has nothing to do against the church. I love it with all my heart! but I think the singles ward is getting a bit out of hand. From moving out in the summer and experiencing a student ward, the difference is incredible. I am ready to move out of my house and stake so I can be allowed to go to my assigned student ward! Any takers?!

the past couple months have been kind of tough with life being..life. i like to thank a few of my many special people that help me through each day!

when i think of molly moon i think of smiling. her sense of humor is hilarious. we both get along sarcastically and it's always so fun when molly's around. she's so smart! i feel like i could ask her anything and she'd pretty much know.

i was new my senior year so in all reality i knew no one. andrew was one of my very first best friends here. he got me to actually like living here. he has no idea how much he has helped me. with my testimony, friends, boyfriends, and just life and he still continues to help me by his example on his mission.

one of my best friends. he is serving in mexico city and comes home in februrary! he is one of the funniest people i know. he is the kind of person that doesn't care what anybody thinks of him. fantastic artist. very good listener. i know he'd do anything for any one of his family or friends at a drop of a hat. he is my one of my favorite people. love you and miss you brando i know your reading this!!

i am a soph-o-more at UVU and am loving this year! i know i messed up a little my first semester but have so much power and motivation for this year. i love all my classes..
hissstory.
okay this class is difficult but for some reason i love how we know so much of our history. and it's cool to think that years and years from now they will be teaching students about our day. my teacher used to teach at the Y but got kicked out because he speaks how he feels and that gets him in trouble i can tell. i wouldn't have any other teacher though.


maaath.
math is my all time favorite. i'm looking forward to going into this! my professor is from asia and you would think it would be so hard to understand him but he is better than any of my other math teachers. he actually cares about the people in his class and will work his schedule around us and our questions. lets hear it for mathhhhhhhhh. woo.


health.nutrition.
alrighty i only took this class because it was required but now i am realizing that i am not as healthy as i thought i was! and neither is anyone else for that matter. i'm excited to improve my diet and activities during my days.


ethics and values.
pointless and required class but i find it interesting. for some reason it's cool to see all of the different opionions of people that are considered your peers. sure, it tears people apart by disagreeing sometimes but more times than none it groups people together with their similarities.

a lot of people i know look down on UVU for some reason like it's just another high school or something. just because it's not as big or as hard as the beloved Y. i have nothing against the Y but i just find those people immature that think that of UVU. i love UVU and am so excited for fall semester!!

HaPPY BiRTHday PA!

August 11th was my favorite daddy's birthday! I love him so much and am so proud of all he does! He is the hardest worker and most organized guy I have ever met. He is one of my few hero's. He is my idea of the perfect dad. The way he takes care of his father makes me love him even more. He has gone through many hardships in his life but is so positive and encourages me to keep going with the going is tough. He has made many sacrifices for his family and deserves the world. happy birthday pops i love you!

i have had mono the past week which has given me a lot of time to think. for myself. i am always doing things for other people, headed to the next party, and never worrying about myself. having done this i have worn myself out.

i hated being by myself and would avoid it at all possible. but lately i have learned to...enjoy my own company? and over the past couple days i have been thinking..

if you had one wish in the whole entire world what would it be? i know most people say oh a million dollars, or to be the strongest person in the world. but for me it would be something different. i wish that everyone in the world could be healthy.

i hear that it is considered wrong to be friends with those that are not of my faith. i think that is ridiculious. i have a best friend at work that is not mormon but why does that stop me? i find her uniqueness inspiring. my favorite thing to do is just talk about church and beliefs with her. why are we wasting time judging others that are not like us, when we really should be loving them..

i want to do something worthwhile with my life. something fantastical. i want to look back years from now and say wow remember when i did that?!

i have come to the conclusion that disneyland is one of my favorite places of all time. i'd live there if i could. 100% serious. having said that, my favorite movies consist of disney movies and my favorite game is disney scene it.

why is it that you do so much for people and will do anything for someone but then when your sick and need someone or something back from those people they are nowhere to be seen? it discourages me.

WE SHOT THE MOON. PARACHUTE.

A couple days ago Molly, Gabrielle, and I went to the secondhand serenade concert. But we didn't go to hear them. No no we went for PARACHUTE! The band that played before them was called We Shot The Moon. They were amazing. We got our picture with the band! We then went back after they played and got another picture with the lead singer, Jonathan. Not Jon, it's Jonathan. Mmm so sophisticated. Parachute then played! It was simply amazing. We then missed their last couple songs so we could be FIRST in line to go meet them. People were butting us but we STOOD OUR GROUND. They then arrived and the security guard asked who was first in line and we screamed WE WEREEEEE!!! And this old mom that butted US was like OH NO. NO. NO. We then preceeded to push and yell to her that we missed their last songs just get here. We ended up being second in line. AH. best experience of my life. They are so cute and nice. They asked our names--since they'll for sure remember our names ya know--and then we took a picture. The photographer said "okay now everyone say SHANE!" haha nobody did except molly, as you can tell in the picture. It was such a FANTASTICAL event!!!

SUMMA!

I do believe summer is my favorite time of year! Don't get me wrong, I love school and all but SUMMER is the best. This summer I moved out of the house and into KING HEN. It is definately a blast. Freedom is always a plus. Although my summer has consisted of work work work..I also have included the FUN in there a lot. This summer one of my goals was to get tan haha don't laugh. It's a legitamate goal I promise. Others would agree that my pale white skin has definately seen the sun a lot more than last year! Thanks to my swimming, boating, and laying out adventures I am well on my way! The summer is NOT ALMOST OVER!? I can't believe it's like the middle of JULY. I still have a lot to do, such as: tandom biking, 80's dancing, road trip, more swimming and boating etc. Summer 09' is definately a favorite of mineee!!

BACHELORETTE.

Alright so last night was The Bachelorette. Yes it is my life. Well it used to be my favorite show ever but I'm now starting to slowly hate it! I was ready to throw down the TV when she didn't pick my Michael. The only thought that got me through that heartbreak was that he is single and deserves better--someone like me :) Well there are now two guys left. She let Reid go last night. I'm glad Kiptyn is staying but ED?? REALLY ED? I liked Ed I really did. But this last episoide I started hating him. He is too hairy. I think he actually likes men and thats why he couldn't "perform" properly at the overnighter. Why is Jillian STUPID with her choices. They've come back to bite her in the butt before. I guess she'll soon see.
