Harder

I always thought that once I graduate life would get much easier. I thought that without those papers and exams I could actually live a carefree life. Well I was wrong. I knew what I was thinking was beyond wrong but I was secretly hoping that life would be kind to me. :)

Now, I have no choice. It's actually a given fact that I have to wake up and drag myself to serve my dear patients twelve hours a day. The job was really tiring but still I try to smile every time I face them since I have to make them feel better and not stressed out by my either sourness or bitterness. I have no complains working really. It's just hard to do when I got some other things on mind. Being professional is what really matters and I know that I should never let my personal life affect my job. I really admire those who can play their part well, not letting other people notice that something is wrong. I have mastered that craft too. Before, nobody can tell if something is bothering me or when I'm offended. Usually I just keep quiet and not involve other people with my own problems. I don't even let my friends know when I feel really low, though my real friends don't have to hear it from me, they say they can sense it already. My eyes gave me away.
It's just hard to open up with the way that I feel over some things. I am scared of being judged or pitied. I mean, there are so many people who have more serious problems and here I am losing myself over some shallow things. I don't want to dampen other people's spirit by sharing my problems. Funny, 'cause my best friend, Kai told me that she loves hearing other people's troubles. It makes her realize that she's not the only one who's worrying over something and it helps her take her mind off her own life for a while. Point taken!
I just got a lot of things on mind. Worries of what lies ahead. Scared of making the wrong turns. Next year, my plans will push through. every single one of them. For now, I will patiently wait...and prepare for the worst.

Here's my list...

1. Nice duty schedule so I can spend some quality time with the whole fam. (Part of the job...that really sucks...)

2. 13th month pay -- trivia: I learned that it was Ferdinand Marcos who thought of this wonderful idea and made it a law. It is mandatory for employees regardless of the length of employment or position to receive this cash bonus before December 24, as this would help them in celebrating the Christmas season. Employees can actually demand for their 13th month pay as this is part of the law. :)

3. new mattress that actually fits my huge bed.

4. no more pimple breakouts...(how I really wish...stress!)

5. Lose more weight...

6. 8-hour sleep

7. My own LCD television...(this is such a dream!)

8, I love exchanging thoughts on things that we don't normally talk with everybody. Mostly, I enjoy listening to other people's view on certain topics because I learn from them and at the same time they could learn to whatever information I can share.

Nope, funny that I work in a hospital but I didn't get any. I have always wanted to, though. I just rely really on my immune system and taking care of my body by taking lots of liquids and eating the right kind of food.

Around 8-10 hours, I haven't been able to watch the television these past few weeks. It's usually the first thing I turn on when I wake up or got home from work.

Scary Thursday

I came from the night shift yesterday so I tried to sleep for several hours just to get some energy. I noticed that my dad had the television on for the whole day. I kept hearing clips of what was being reported on the news though I have no clear idea of what the real story is...Common words come up such as Trillanes, Manila Peninsula, walk out and soldiers taking over the hotel. I knew something is wrong but sleep overcame my desire to monitor what was happening then. Evening came and traffic was building up on the highway for checkpoints were being implemented here. I went to work just being aware that something is wrong in Makati and yes, I am sure that today the dollar rate would increase vs. our dear peso...(to that I am correct...) We were doing the usual routine when changing shifts, endorsing every patient when I heard from the television at the patient's room that a curfew will be implemented in NCR, Southern Tagalog and in another place I am not so sure of...(It included us) curfeew 12mn to 5 am... Then I saw a busload of reporters who have covered the incidents that day, all hands tied with ropes. REASON FOR THIS? The government wanted to ensure that nobody there was included in that supposedly take over. I have to admit that I was a little worried...scared even. For I think that the government, has been taking the situation in a way that feels like the makings of a martial law. I am just a typical Pinay who seems to care to what our country is in now. I feel for those innocent individuals who have to suffer for their personal agendas. I read in today's newspaper that there was supposed to be a wedding at the hotel that day and it had to be called off due to this unexpected craziness. The bride was already wearing her wedding gown and just cried saying they had prepared for that special day for a year. Too bad for the couple...They even had guest who just flew from the US just to see them get married. It was a really bad timing, to think that I thought this kind of story only happens in the movies.

These lines are from the movies I have seen before, which I seem to have adopted to my life. I still believe in signs, even when they seem to point me in the opposite direction. I was looking for signs and these are what I saw instead...

While traveling the SLEX, Deep in my thoughts, I noticed this billboard and quickly took a photo of it.

I always pray and do it like I was just having a casual conversation with God. I think that we should all find time, even for a short while to have a moment with Him. The time or place doesn't matter, for there is no right time and place. Whenever you feel you are ready just do it, in a bus, waiting in line for food or movie, having a break or much better when you wake up each morning and sleep at night. A simple thanks for everything would be more than enough.






I must say that this is what we call "overloaded." I was really surprised to see these poor animals standing on top of this jeepney. It must have been a really uncomfortable and scary ride...

Last night, I was doing this blog on how I love the rain (which I was unable to post)...How the sound of raindrops gives me a zen-like feeling...It has been raining here for the entire week. Unlike others who hates it when it rains, I secretly enjoy it. I love the cold feeling. Living in a tropical country, rain is my form of snow.
Though, I love rain, I still hate it when it turns into a really strong typhoon that endangers so many people. Who doesn't? I feel bad for those who are truly affected by the storms that we are currently experiencing now. "Lando," the first storm to hit the country is now officially outside the parameters. Now another storm is brewing named "Mina" and Pagasa has warned that this would turn into a Super Typhoon. Our area in now under signal no.1, I am yet to feel the strength of the storm but I am scared of what it could turn out to be. I am praying for our safety and for the others who would be in direct hit of the storm.
My mom, who heard the news yesterday bought several huge water containers which we could use just in case the electricity connection would be lost (we have our own water pump so without the electricity we do not have water supply). I still have to prepare some of the needed supplies such as rechargeable emergency light, candles and would suggest my mom that we keep a stock of food...(just to be prepared).
I believe that God is good and that He would be keeping us safe.

The downside of this...Despite the strength of the storm, I still have to go to work tomorrow...hmmm...what a bummer! Oh well, its simply part of the job. Accept and move on..hehe...

I remembered just the other day, we have yet-to-be ordained priests coming to talk to the patients, just to simply make a conversation. Ask how they're doing, what they're feeling...something of a spiritual/casual conversation. I was giving medications to the patient in one room when I heard one of the brothers ask the student nurse I was with why she is taking up nursing. The student nurse did not answer...(much to my dismay...hehe) so everyone turned to me, "Let's ask the nurse why she chose the profession..."
I was planning to simply smile at them and stay silent but when I saw that they were dead serious with the question and waiting for my answer to the million-dollar-question, I just blurted out "To serve mankind..." hahaha...and then I smiled and left the room without waiting for their reaction. Though, I heard somebody said, "wow..."
It was the most common answer to this very common question...:) Come to think of it, its actually true. same goes for the policemen, doctors, and yes politicians. All serving in different areas but with only one purpose, and that is to serve the people. To be of help, to guide and to protect.

So going back, I just wanted to chant...: Rain rain go away...:)
Constant vigilance! this is the motto for today...We can never be to sure of what could possible happen...That is why we must always be prepared for the unknown and for what lies ahead of us.

God is soo Good

I woke up yesterday hearing a loud bang outside my door...It was my mom telling me that it's already quarter to seven and I am late. I had to bid goodbye to dreamland. I jumped out of my bed and took a really cold shower. Hmm...It was going to be another looong day at work. I knew I was late already so I wasn't that much in a hurry. Besides, I tend to leave behind so many things whenever I panic and worry of the time. While I was in the shower, I heard a familiar screech of tires with a loud bang at the end. There was an accident. Another reason to be late. I had to drive the car to work as the traffic was getting heavy and I can't ask my dad to drive to me to the hospital. I wanted to take a photo of the accident but I couldn't find my camera. (where were you when I needed you?) Oh well, so drove off to work.
My day at the hospital was uneventful. Thankfully, as there were no toxic patients to look after. I was the medication nurse and my task was give out patients' medicines. It sounded like a simple task. It is actually I just always and I mean always have to remember the 5 Rs of Medicine administration.

Right DRUG,

Right PATIENT,
Right TIME and
Right ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION.

One of the staff nurses actually told me that the most important of all the 5Rs was the RIGHT PATIENT. Then follow the rest...
It was payday and it was obvious to everyone's faces. Everyone was in good mood until they received their salaries and found out that the new accountant innocently committed some mistakes with the computations. The smiles was then replaced with scowls and angry retorts. I also didn't receive the amount I was expecting I'd get after working for 10 straight working days including 2 official holidays for 12 hours each. Fortunately, the accountant admitted her mistake and we just made an agreement to include the deficiencies on the next payday. It was fine with me, as long as I get what I have worked hard for.
After 12 hours working, my boyfriend sent me a message saying he was on his way to the hospital to pick me up. He was suppose to surprise me. :) I was so happy to see him as I thought we wouldn't be seeing each other for 2 days. Since I brought my own car we just drove in a convoy. I was driving behind him at full speed when this reckless car who I think was supposed to pass and go to the opposite direction decided to go for it at the last minute. Fortunately, Jay was able to step on his brakes and make a full stop with just inches away from the other car. Thankfully, I still have alert reflexes and managed to step on the brakes. My car was unlike the others which would make a full stop once you step on the brakes. Mine has this soft brake on it. (I just made up this term...I didn't know what to call it...:p) I had to make a sharp right for I could bump behind Jay's pick-up. I was lucky that there weren't any cars behind me or on my right side except for a motorcycle which I was able to avoid too. My tires made a loud screech just like what I heard that morning. The only difference was that it didn't ended with a loud bang. Except I realized that I was unknowingly pressing the horn until I made a full stop just about 2 feet from that reckless car's behind. Then silence followed...I have no idea how I drove after that. My knees were still shaking when we got home. We just managed to get out of a potentially ugly accident. I was really saying "Thank you Lord! hay..." (napadasal talaga ako...)
I couldn't erase from my mind the scenes from that night. I going out of work and happily saw my boyfriend. We talked and laughed for a few minutes before deciding to go home. I hugged and kissed him on the cheeks before I went inside my own car. Who would have thought that just minutes after that we would be experiencing that nerve wrecking incident. Happy to scary...Hay God is sooo Good to me...to us.

Crazy Thoughts: Cold + gift = christmas

Whenever November kicks in, the temperature goes down a bit and you can really feel that Christmas is fast approaching. With only 31 days to go...Christmas shopping is now officially on. For this year, since I'm already earning my own money I realized that "masakit" din pala sa bulsa...haha:) Although I really love the holiday season...I get really excited buying gifts for the special people in my life...:) It feels great when they appreciate what you gave them. Christmas is really for the kids...I love it whenever they open their gifts, their excitement really obvious and their enormous eyes filled with awe and loud cry filled with happiness and surprise. Witnessing that moment was the price you paid for...and most of the time it was worth it. :)

Budget budget budget! :) Gifts dont have to be that expensive right? But not that cheap that the person receiving it won't be able to use them.:)

She specifically told us that her gown was simple so we shouldn't outshine her...(a very good point!) haha...


I've been having some difficulties deciding on the style because the nice designs show some skin and the Church forbids wearing them for weddings. Shawls can be worn as long as it hides most of the exposed...:) haha...





I'm still sticking to the first design I wanted... Greek inspired...:) Something like this...



I think I have to watch my diet again...if I wanted to look nice on that gown by January...(Hey Chona I said nice...'cause the bride's supposed to look great...hehe)

OMG! I am the last of the bachelorette in the fam! Always the bridesmaid...never the bride...

Oh well, getting married is easy... its living the married life that's hard...I think...:) I have to be really ready in all aspects before I step into one. As of the moment, I am not even close to getting to the half of what I should be. A few more years, more work, more savings, more heartaches, better pay...:)

Going back...so do you guys have any suggestions? I have a design for the back of this dress...Funny that I decided the design for the back of my future gown first before this one...hehe..I''ll try to post it...:)

Sofi's 1st Birthday

My very pretty niece, Sofi (Ate Da's 2nd baby...1st was Tish...) celebrated her first birthday last Saturday. She had a Hello Kitty themed party at Dads/Saisaki, Alabang Town Center. The kids enjoyed the clowns' crazy antics, games, magic show and bubble show while the adults enjoyed the eat-all-you-can buffet merienda (choices of different pastas, native delicacies, chinese food and variety of desserts). Entertaining the kids and satisfying the tummies...:)

Random thoughts#2 working force,,,

Hay...I miss being a student...:)
Life was so simple then...worries revolved on book reports, exams, waking up early, how much "baon" I'd ask...sarap ng buhay...:) hindi mabigat sa loob...hindi komplikado ang mga bagay...dati pimple lang ata bad trip na ko e. Sira na ang buong araw. (vain!)
Now I belong to the working group...hala sige trabahong kalabaw! I have to learn the right work ethics on my own. The best thing I have ever done so far was keeping quiet. Keeping my opinions to myself unless asked. I know its not what I should do..but hey I'm a newbie...a novice...I can't have too many opinions. I might know the ideal but hey, this is the real world. Most of the time, sadly, the ideal is just not appropriate. Okay, here's something to prove that I did the right thing...on keeping mum about things...
I had a meeting with "the Boss" along with my co-trainees, where we got butt-lashing, in-your-face talk; we weren't doing our jobs daw, tamad and all according to the staff...(although, the Boss excluded me from this reprimands...saying hindi daw ako kasama dun sa mga tamad) I still feel bad. One thing I learned from my sorority, its working as one unit. Never leaving anybody behind. Walang laglagan kumbaga. After the meeting, the other staff were asking me how the meeting was. What the Boss said...mga ganon...Gossip at the workplace is something I don't approve of. No matter how much the other staff try to get some infos from me, I just wouldn't budge. I'd here gossips but it would never start from me...
As my dad says, "Better keep your mouth shut if you've got nothing good to say..."
I've tried to live up to my dad's principle from the very second he said it.

Hay, student na lang sana ako...gusto ko ulit magaral...:)

Random thoughts

I didnt get that lucky in our poker game last night...But Jay did! He won our last game with 600 peso pot...hmmm...Buy-in winning the pot? wow Lucky you! :)
mind boggling salary computations...simple mathematics that accountants seem to have trouble doing...kinda affects my attitude with my job...anyone would be...imagine working your ass of for 12 hours x 10 days and not getting the right compensation...(@#$#@!) Totally uncool! seem to be having cold feet...greener pastures...
I only get to see my nieces like twice a month on weekends...and my niece, Sofi, 11-month old baby, doesn't recognize me anymore. The only time she let me carry her was this morning before I go to work...It was heartbreaking for me, I so want to just stay home and play with the kids, but I got no choice. Got work to do, responsibilities to fulfill...Life sucks sometimes...
The novice becomes a little skilled...:)
I got a very thoughtful boyfriend...always has something for me...little things that means so much...and it makes me a one spoiled girlfriend...haha...He says he loves giving me gifts 'cause I seem to appreciate everything...Like making a simple chocolate like fillet mignon...he loves that look I make whenever he surprises me...:) (ipod video almost got my eyeballs to pop out...hehe...)

night shift

I have been working the night shift for the past two weeks...that explains my long absence in the blog-o-sphere...:) plus the fact that Jay has been monopolizing my pc playing his starwars game which I also seem to enjoy. We laughed at the thought that we're still young at heart and feel like we're playmates. :) We talk just about anything under the sun and I can ride with the guy stuff he enjoys while he tries really hard to enjoy my girl stuff...:) We are our opposite worst critic but best advisers...:)

I kinda like doing the the night duty, the hospital is quiet and more work is done. Time also seems to pass so quickly...:) I just know when its time to go home, when I see some light and suddenly feel so sleepy and tired...(Accdg. to Discovery Channel, our mind manipulates when we would feel certain things such as sleepiness. When a person is awake the whole night, his mind tells him he is tired and sleepy when he sees the stimuli, which is the break of dawn.)

Let me share a story...

Meet Nurse Joe Black...

Isang malamig na gabi, naatasang maglagay ng swero (IV line) si Nurse Joe Black. BIhasa naman siya sa ganitong procedure kaya tinanggap din niya ang trabaho. Sa kasamaang palad, pumutok ang ugat na kanya sanang gagamitin para sa pagswero...in medical term e nag-bulge ito. Kung maririnig ito ng mga taong hindi pamilyar sa terminong ito, grabe syempre ito. Pero kahit sino atang nakagawa na nito, nurse o doctor man, masasabi na normal naman ito at nangyayari talagang nagba-bulge ang mga ugat.

Sa pangyayaring ito, ang asawa ng pasyente na pulis pala ay nagalit at bigla na lamang hinawakan si Nurse Joe Black sa leeg na animoy sasakalin at tinutukan nito sa ulo ng baril. Parang hostage taking ang eksena, ganon. Si Nurse Joe Black na nabigla sa pangyayari ay walang nagawa. Ikaw ba naman ang tutukan ng kinasang .45 ewan ko naman kung iimik ka pa. Lumabas sa Nurse Black at sinabi sa mga kasama nya. May mga doctor doon na nagsabing maghabla, ipa-blotter at ireport agad sa may-ari ng hospital na doctor mismo ng pasyente. Nagawa ang 3 bagay na sinabi ng mga doctor...Maliban sa hindi inaasahang reaksyon ng may-ari ng hospital. Imbes na ipaliwanag ng maayos sa pasyente at sa hamit nitong asawang pulis na nangyayari talaga ang mga ganoong insidente at magalit na din sapagkat unang una ay bawal ang baril sa hospital at sana'y bigyan ng konting proteksyon ang na-traumang si Nurse Joe Black ay lalo pa nitong idiniin ang nurse. Mayabang daw kasi ang nurse kaya tinutukan ng baril. Hindi man lamang nasabihan ng doctor na bawal ang ganoong mga deadly weapon sa hospital. Ang nangyari ay kasalanan pa ni Nurse Joe Black kung bakit siya tinutukan ng baril.

Sa pangyayaring ito, sino ang mali? Ano ang tamang gawin? Tama ba ang May-ari ng hospital at doctor din ng pasyente na kampihan ang pulis? Hindi ba tinuturuan ng ethics ang mga pulis natin ngayon na gamitin sa tama ang kanilang posisyon? Tama ba ang ginawa ng OA na pulis sa panunutok kay Nurse Black?

Too Fast Too Slow Week

I feel happy that I got through this week...it was too fast that it was just like yesterday that I was going to work on a Sunday...then without even knowing its Friday already! I give myself a pat on my back for getting through a 12 hour duty shift. Something that I am not too thrilled about but well, what the heck! I have no choice. Its something I feel I have to get through. An experience that would probably enhance my skills as a nurse. It is really tiring though, the agony of waiting for that ticking clock to turn to 7...

Welcome to the real life Nina! You are a nurse...and if you're dreaming of getting rich then you chose the wrong profession if you'd stay here in the country. (Something somebody said to me that has been playing inside my head for several days now....)

An excerpt of a conversation I had with a fellow nurse:

"Hindi ka yayaman dito sa Pilipinas kung nurse ka...Walang respeto ang karamihan sa mga Pinoy sa mga nurse dito...ang trato sayo parang katulong ka...ang nakaka-sama ng loob ang mga akala mo kung sino ka alipustahin ung pang mga walang pinagaralan. College graduate tayo e, may titulo tapos ganon lang nila tayo kung awayin..."

After hearing his rantings, I realized that yeah, sometimes he's right. Some just have no respect for nurses. But I am not speaking for my profession only, I think that respect is something we must all give to anybody we encounter in our lives. It doesn't matter what race, social status, educational attainment or face value one has.

Remember the Golden Rule: "Do unto others what you want others to do unto you..."

This is something that anybody could learn and apply. It doesn't require a diploma, a status symbol or beauty...It doesn't take a genius to figure out what one is supposed to do...All we have to think is just do good. Treat everyone right. It wont hurt to give somebody a smile...or make somebody happy...help those who needed it. Give true compliments. Stop too much criticisms and gossips...Just start to be good...

Oh well, I am doing it again...I'm sounding like a motivational therapist... Funny that just this afternoon, I had the chance to relax a bit and sit beside the window at the nurses' station, when I suddenly blurted out, "Hay, what a fast week...parang pinapalipas ko lang ang panahon...I don't know my purpose in life..." Natawa naman ang mga kasama ko sa ward..hehe...natawa din naman ako..."hay may ganon pa talaga kong drama noh? hehe" They all laughed...then fell silent. Each of them were probably thinking the same thing..."oo nga ako din..." sabi nung isa. Then suddenly, they all agreed to my rantings. Actually, what I said and felt at the moment was kinda shallow...but come to think of it...We live each day, some may just let the days pass-by, some may find it too fast or too slow...but few just knew what their purpose is...Maybe this is just a phase that I have to go through...and somehow along the way I'd know what my purpose is...or maybe I am already living it...I just haven't noticed it yet...:)

For now...I'd just let this phase pass-by hoping it would be too fast so I could get through my purpose in life but too slow so I could live and enjoy each moment as it happens...

This is just a phase that calls for some alcohol...:)

Monday Madness

1. What was your biggest challenge this past week?

Adjusting to a 12-hour shift duty...It was really stressful for me as I was used to 8 working hours only.

2. What was your biggest accomplishment this past week?

Getting past my first week on a 12-hour shift duty, completing my registration as professional nurse at PRC and learning I did great in my board exams when I saw my board ratings. :) It was a real surprise!

3. What was the most exciting thing that happened in your life this past week?

We celebrated our 7th anniversary last week, being wooed in a way that was unexpected. Anonymous gift deliveries at work, going home really tired and kinda down for I haven't seen him for a couple of days, thinking he forgot about me, then finding a complete meal inside my room with a letter saying "Kakainin mo to ha..pls.." awww...kilig!

4. What one thing made you the happiest this past week?

Spending time with 'ta....and getting those surprises...:)

Photo Hunt: Plastic

Inside those bags that this kid carries, are plastic bottles of mineral water, juice/soda. A young boy approached me and asked if I could give him my drink. He doesn't want the iced tea that I was having, as he was just after the container. This seven year old boy was the one who works for his family. (I was thinking...Where are his parents?!) I felt sad that at a very young age, he has to work already. I asked him why isn't he playing or studying. The boy answered me, "Wala kami kakainin mamya e..." (We have nothing to eat later.) He sells them to a junkshop who pays forty pesos per kilo of those plastic bottles. Imagine how many empty plastic containers he has to gather...

Most kids of his age worries what next toy to buy, go into tantrums if they don't get what they want, who could eat at Jollibee fastfood anytime of the day while some only dreams of eating there on their birthdays...(that is if they're lucky enough to have the money) Life is so unfair....for these kids. After this encounter, I learned to appreciate more my parents, for giving me a comfortable life and a bright future. Learn to be happy on simple things...

Monday Madness

1. Do you have children in school?

No, I'm still single with no plans yet of getting married...(like in the next 2-3 years...)

2. Are YOU currently in school (any level)?

No, I am done with school for the next coming months...I just graduated from college but I am planning to take a masteral degree.

3. Did you (or your children) attend a public or private school?

I went to 3 private schools and *one government school:

• Canossa Academy - Primary
• De La Salle University Lipa - Secondary
• *University of the Philippines Los Baños - tertiary
• Lyceum - St Cabrini College of Allied Medicine - tertiary
  

4. As far as formal education, what level have you completed?

I am a BS Nursing college graduate. :)

5. Do you, or did you have loans out for your (or your children's) education?

I never had the chance to use our student's loan in UP... I know they give loans to students to buy for books or to pay for tuition fees. Loan if I am correct ranges from 3,500 - 5000 pesos. I know it's a small amount but for those who aren't familiar with UP's tuition fees it ranges from that amount actually. (that is during my time....) Though, I heard TF has increased already...from P220/unit to 1500/unit. (I have to check on this values again...I'm not quite sure..)

6. What are your thoughts on the cost of tuition for colleges and universities?

Education is expensive for us Filipinos in our country, but for those from abroad, it is really cheap. Pesos could definitely not measure with dollar rates... Even in UP where education is subsidized by the government, the recent more than hundred percent increase in the tuition fee has affected a great number of bright young individuals who have the potential to be the best our country can offer but could never afford to go to college.

I feel, that education now is a luxury, as not everyone could afford and enjoy it. The problem is not in the increase in tuition fees only, it roots out to poverty, standard of living here in our country, graft and corruption in the government, unemployment, decreasing level of the quality of education, broken families...to summarize these conflicts...the main problem is lack of/little sense of values of most people. Come to think of it, everything we see in our daily lives, each person we encounter everyday, they are all the epitomy of their home...the product of their families and the values that each of them try to uphold in their lives. I came to realize just now, as I am doing this blog that I actually connected problems in education, tuition fee increases with family life...wow! What a transition! (sorry just got a little carried away with the sudden feeling of nationalism...:)

The F4 fever then...

Saw this comic strip from Peyups.com and found it cute and funny...:) although, it's a little old and F4 fever is definitely out...hehe:) those were the days...long straight hair, skin whitening, sweatshirt (even here in the tropics). scarf (with sweat pouring from those guys who try to copy these boyband's sense of style)....these were the fad during those times...and I couldn't help but find it amusing. :)

No blogs for the whole week :(

I missed all the memes for this week...:( There had been some problems with the phone company that I wasn't able to use the internet for more than a week. Apparently, some people find phone line cables were worth big bucks...so they managed to steal several kilometers of it. (Take note: nobody even notice them doing it...the fact that all cable lines were installed beside the public highway.) Some people just don't have anything good to do. Greed can make one do the extremes...

I always live in this principle...Do one good thing each day and you can make the world a better place to be in...If everyone would try to apply this in their daily lives...we could truly make our lives worth living. being happy and making others feel the same way...:)

Infirmary ang tawag...oo kasi nagaassist kami sa freshmen kapag reg...at dati tanda ko pa aksidente akong naka-apak ng pako...magisa kong umakyat ng infirmary, walang ligo (bawal kasi ma-late sa appointment e na-late ako ng gising), 6am ng umaga, puyat na puyat. Tanda ko amuyong ako at master ko ang doctor na mag-debride ng sugat ko. First time ko humiga sa operating table. Wala man lang ako kasama kahit sino. Naiiyak ako non pero sabi ng doctor na master ko wag ako iiyak..Grabe ang feeling ko non...pero ok din naman dahil libre ang procedure na ginawa sa kin...Nung naging sis ako...mahal na mahal ko ang sis ko na yun. di ko un makakalimutan talaga.
