merry christmas!

this made us laugh pretty hard tonight...elfyourself has really gotten better in the last few years! 

enjoy...

i took the kids to see santa last week with my friend nicole and her little guy cash

we've been going together for the past several years together and it's so cute to watch the kids

this year was much better for connor and molly did great too...

molly started to fuss when i put her on santa's lap and he told me "keep on walking"

i jumped by the camera and distracted her and i'm pretty excited about the shot we got

with no tears or reaching arms

connor was so sweet

he asked santa for a new three little pigs book because he couldn't find his that morning

pretty easy going kid i guess!

our little moo loves shoes and clothes!

she has to be watched at all times in the bedrooms because she is constantly opening drawers 

and pulling everything out

the other day she was in connor's room and decided to pull out his shirts and 

scream until we put them all on her!

she was perfectly content after she got all 4 shirts on

we love this about her!

{the thing i hear most often about my kids is about the eyes AND how much alike they look...i know, we definitely have to label her pictures so we know which baby it is}

never trust a quiet tot...part II

molly is a clever little baby

and LOVES to do things on her own

i was on the phone the other day

again two feet away

i knew she was right there and was glad that something was keeping her attention

and turned around to a huge mess of papers

not a big deal i sat and watched her play and pretend to read over all of our old paperwork

she loves books right now and is talking a lot

never trust a quiet tot!

even when you are two feet from them...

they are clever little things and are always watching, learning and waiting for the right opportunity

to try things out for themselves

it's been a long time since i used nail polish around connor because it ended in a full on toddler mani/pedi session

today i was just blowdrying my hair and i knew connor was in the bathroom with me

but wasn't really paying attention {obviously}

he was concentrating so hard

and was very impressed with himself

luckily this little scheme of his didn't result in a big mess

we were actually pretty impressed with his painting skills :)

life is never boring with this boy around!



it's the most wonderful time of the year!

weekend on the water

we had a great weekend at the beach

my family all went together to celebrate my dad's birthday

and thanksgiving

our kids had a great time

molly was quite the beach bum

she loved the sand and the water

connor stayed so busy with all of his cousins

collecting sea shells

boogie boarding

building sand castles

and swimming

all the kids are getting so big

they were so much help with our kids!

ALL of the kids loved the wagon it kept them busy all day at the beach

james and i were invited to a beautiful wedding this weekend at skyline country club

james' mom kathy was also invited so we got to spend the afternoon with her!

we had a great time getting dressed up and having a nice afternoon without the kiddies

 i was convinced that the camera was not working

james proved me wrong with this goofy picture

not to mention all the crap i'm carying

nail polish remover, diapers and water

don't leave home without all that junk

happy 'dirtday' connor

three years ago today connor came into our lives changing us forever...

at 11:17am weighing 6lbs 14oz

our life's focus shifted dramatically

james and i were laughing today about the moment we saw him

we immediately looked at each other with surprise in our eyes and then started laughing because he looked so different then we thought he would

he had lots of darkish hair and looked tan (that tan was really jaundice :)

today he weighs 28lbs and won't stop talking

he has brought us so much joy and we are loving this new stage of toddlerhood

he gives us so much love everyday he is so sweet

we cannot believe how fast the past few years have gone

and i know the next year will pass just as quickly

connor was shocked to see the banner i made him as he came down the stairs this morning

he said "oh wow, i like it mommy thank you"

we had a great day just hanging around the house and baking a dino cake and cupcakes, watching scooby doo and diego in our jammies

his 'dirtday' breakfast

he got to open two presents - zhu zhu pets

he was very excited about them and molly was not happy that she didn't get one

and even more unhappy that she could not take it from connor to play with

i was pulling molly off of him she was screaming at him

{don't worry, james ran out the door to get her one!}

i made connor a dinosaur cake! 

it was a test run for his party and it turned out pretty good



my parents came by to bring connor a present

he was so exctited to get a CARS garage set

all in all it was a great day
